Once the job began, their work was amazing, very fast but phenomenal quality, and they were very courteous to our renter. The staff member we'd coordinated with took the trip up to our home to review the work with the site foreman and kept us constantly updated. The basement looked fantastic immediately after they finished. Fast forward to now, about a week ago our renter noticed standing water in the basement so Northern Basement Systems came out same-day for a service call. They determined that it wasn't a part of the system they installed, but was a fitting on a pipe that was leaking. They fixed the pipe and didn't even charge us! Our tenant texted raving about how polite they were this time around as well. Definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for basement waterproofing solutions. We had great difficulty finding a local roofer--with three companies, we faced multiple no shows, long waits for call backs and quotes, and trouble with scheduling. It seemed like none of the roofing companies had time for us. Someone suggested we take an alternate route and work with a general contractor...in comes Stewart Construction. Their quote was comparable to the roofing numbers we had seen, and we were scheduled to begin work two weeks later. S.C. was patient while we deliberated over colors and options, and they discussed in great detail how one product compared to another. We went with a 25 (30?) year architectural shingle by CertainTeed. S.C.'s carpenters uncovered a great deal of rot in the frame and nearby siding (half of our roof was 35+ year old metal w/ no plywood underneath). Working hard in the bitter cold, they repaired the damage at little extra cost to us. The porch section of the roof needed rolled out asphalt, which S.C. suggested we complete in the spring to avoid cracking the material. I appreciated that they were concerned with the manufacturer's recommendations and the longevity of the roof. When warm weather settled in, the guys came back and finished up. Overall, I was impressed with Stewart Construction's communication, respect for their client, and commitment to a job well done. When we do other projects around our home, I will certainly contact them again.

Nathan quoted me a minimum of $1,000 for a days work of putting together a bedside commode, installing a showerhead and moving a light mattress. Yes, there were a couple of other small things, moving a light desk and checking on an adjustable bed. All in all, at most 3 hours work. Nathan gave me long silences between emails. Nathan gave me a completely unreasonable quote of at least $1,000 a day. It is very clear he just doesn't want to travel to Montpelier. It would have been real nice if he had just said NO in the beginning. I've been waiting TWO WEEKS to confirm him and he still never provided the detailed invoice I requested. I'm so done with this company. Nathan, enough. You succeeded! You lost my business & thanks for the run around.
