My neighbors all recommended Cleary Stone, as did the local contractor I hired to do the job; I therefore felt that I would be in good hands. The business is a three generation run family business off of RT 89 in Richmond. Grandson Alex was very patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is an array of tiles, pavers, cobblestones, etc for all your outdoor landscape improvement needs. I picked out a beautiful granite stone for my front step. It's exciting to know the stone is local, coming from quarries in Barre, VT. The price was reasonable, too. I then picked out the pavers plus the cobble stones that would line the path. I'd given Alex the measurement specifications that I'd gotten from the contractor. Alex knew exactly how much of everything I'd need. I placed the order. Note that there is a 3% credit card surcharge fee if you use a card, so it's preferable for all parties if you use a check or cash. They would've delivered for $80, but my contractor was going to pick it all up. I met Jean, the matriarch, when I paid the bill. She's a delight to talk to and very friendly. The results are phenomenal. The difference is stunning and the best part? No more dirt and gravel in my home! I'll later be adding in a patio, so I'll be back for more. David Burton produced a superb design. Jeremiah and Sam busted their butts, through two very hot and humid weeks. They were always polite, never in the way, and highly meticulous. In my opinion, they are also highly skilled, operating excavators and other machinery expertly in tight and difficult terrain. Every time (and there were several) that I worried about a placement or a height or grade or whatever, Jeremiah stopped what he was doing, listened patiently, and then took whatever measure to allay my fears. He was kind, considerate, and responsive, as was Sam. It's fair to say that Distefano Landscaping overall did a superb job for us in every imaginable way. And the job came out right around the quoted price, even though there were some bumps (like buried stumps) along the road.
