She had gone to a similar painting event in the past and had a terrible experience, so I really had to push her to go this time. I was honestly shocked when she said, "I actually had fun." That alone made the night five stars for me. The artist was incredibly kind, sweet, and personable. While I do wish she had spent a little more time demonstrating brush techniques and offering help to beginners, she created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The music was a bit loud, but it added to the lively vibe. We also made candles during our visit -- a total five-star process. The instructions were clear, the scents were so fun to explore, and it felt like a creative, sensory adventure. Some of the candle label stickers were unavailable, which was a little disappointing, but probably beyond the business's control. This small business is absolutely worth supporting. You can feel how much love, creativity, and heart fills the space. As a nurse, I especially appreciated the painting on the wall honoring healthcare workers -- such a thoughtful touch. Best part? We were also given smocks,I had a custom happy birthday smock At the very beginning the staff introduced themselves. They had great music playing, and we got to follow along with the lead paint instructor, and in between paintings we got to play different games. We even got to announce our birthdays, they also did little contests in between to keep the energy up! The playlist was really good with a variety of music from different genres and generations. With just the right amount of intstruction time and breaks, the activity is really fun even if you have never painted before. There are drinks and small bites available for sale, however they are pretty small for the prices so I wouldn't suggest going hungry. Fortunately, Muse is located conveniently in the Battery, with tons of options for dining before or after the class!

I was super surprised that I actually liked what I left with- the girls ARE very good at giving tips and helping you with decisions if you want it! Super fun atmosphere. They came to my neighborhood's clubhouse so it was a very convenient location as well. My husband and I brought some wine and some snacks and had a great time.
