The waitress we had was lovely and very personable. The food we got looked and tasted delicious. By far my favourite was the butter chicken Bowl, if you go here I definitely recommend it. Overall, I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place to a friend or bring a date here.

I had such high hopes for this place! My husband and I stopped in here for lunch during our day…read moretrip to Lindsay. I wish we hadn't.. It's nothing against the service. The waitress was friendly and nice. However the food was just gross. We ordered the warm spinach dip to start and man that was red flag number 1! First off, it said warm in the name and it was barely warm. It was my first time having cheddar cheese melted directly on top of a spinach dip. The flavor was off and the pita was the only thing warm on the dish. However, we ordered on to the next round of food. My husband ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the steak bites. My husband said the fish taco was "meh" and the strawberries inside the fish taco threw us both off. Who puts strawberries on a fish taco? My steak bites were incredibly sour, like the sauce had gone bad and incredibly sugary. I'm not quite sure what Korean BBQ flavor that was? It was just bad food and to pay $58 dollars for weird tasting food? Eek! Me thinks not is right! FYI: We both got some bad belly later that night. Never again.

We were traveling through Lindsey and the dining options were scant. We saw a Fat Bastard Burrito…read moreand figured this would be a good choice for everyone in our party because it would most likely be: 1.) Quick 2.) Hearty 3.) Cheap. We were needing to get back on the road to make it to our cottage before sundown, and we still had a lot of driving ahead of us. When we entered the eatery, we were promptly greeted. The two employees were very friendly and patient with us as we perused the menu. One of the things that instantly stuck out to me was the myriad of options as far as proteins were concerned. There were many options and surely everyone would be able to find something that worked for them. The way it works is once you make your order they will build your bowl or burrito to your specifications and then add the protein in last. For my bowl I got: Rice, Black Beans, Lettuce, Corn, Noodles (yes, noodles!), Crunchies, Cheese and Sour Cream. For my protein I got the Crispy Fish. Okay, this bowl was sooo good! The Crispy Fish was the standout- it was freshly fried and was a great complement to the other items in the bowl. I loved every ingredient in the bowl except for the shredded cheese because it was giving more of an oily taste as opposed to a smooth, mellow dairy sensation. The portion was very large and I was able to parlay this late lunch into my actual dinner once we got to our cottage. We ate our meals in the dining room which only had about 4 or 5 tables. It's definitely more of a grab and go type establishment, but we were grateful to have a place to eat our meals instead of having to scarf it down in the car. There was an accessible restroom too that was a welcome sight as we had been on the road for a few hours and had several more hours of driving ahead. Overall, Fat Bastard Burrito was a great experience. The food was great, it was quick and was an excellent value. Way to go FBB!!!

Fave: Butter tarts and the service. Least fave: hash browns…read more I went here for breakfast recently, as I was staying in Lindsay for a family function. The service was warm and friendly. I felt like I was a regular! Super win. The breakfast prices were very good. The coffee was decent, and the food was OK. The hash browns were a bit dry and under-cooked, but not a deal-breaker. The eggs, bacon, and toast were fab, though. But the butter tart! WOAH! Amazing. I love these runny butter tarts that do this amazing dance on your tongue of sweet and tangy. Tender pastry, too. Highly recommended. I am only sad I didn't bring home a dozen. My waistline is probably pleased that I did not, however. Anyhow - if you are in Lindsay and need an inexpensive meal, or just an amazing dessert, you could do a whole lot worse than Buttertarts N More!

What a busy little restaurant, I sat down and had a burger it was fanatastic. The waitress was…read morerunning all over to serve the people come in, she certainly did a great job! But I went there for butter-tarts and that is my fav pastry, I was disappointed in the tart, for a good butter tart has to have a flaky pastry and a gooey inside which it did but the flavour which is hard to mess up tasted strange like maybe lemon juice was in it or possibly vinegar it overpowered the best part of the butter tart. So with that being said I would not purchase butter tarts from there I bought 6 and my parents said the same about the tarts. Normally we fight over butter tarts in our family.
