I had a truly awful experience the last time I went here. Connie has done my hair twice before and it turned out great both times, this time was a different experience. She told me how difficult I am a few times throughout my appointment, said my hair looked like wood grain while processing, and said oops and uh oh a few times while applying color to my hair. She made me sit outside in the heat while the color was processing and I received several chemical burns from the process. She wouldn't dry my hair due to Covid so I didn't know how absolutely horrible it was until I got home to dry it. I showed her a video of it and at least she told me she also did not like it, but told me she wouldn't be able to get to me until five days later to fix it. I decided not to let her fix it because I figured it would only end up worse, so I text her to let her know I would not be there and she text back "awwwww". I spent a fortune there and left what I felt like was a nice tip since I couldn't actually tell what my hair looked like while wet. This whole process also took 6 hours to complete, and my seven year old could have done a better job with a bottle of bleach and a spray bottle. If I could give negative five stars I certainly would. I just don't want anyone else left if the situation that I've been left in, especially since the burns have been very uncomfortable to deal with. I would think twice before coming here. read more

Established in 1990.

Connie the owner, has been in the industry for 20+ years. She was a Senior National Associate and Train the Trainer for 10 years with John Paul Mitchell Systems. Through her extensive travels from the east coast to the west coast, she has had extensive training by some of the top Artist around the World. Her certifications include Hair Cutting, Long Hair Design, Chemical (perm & straighteners). She was trained and certified in color blocking techniques at Color Cutting USA in Carefree, Arizona by Scott Cole & Linda Yodice. She has had hands on training from some of the top artist of the world including, Jean Braa, John & Susie Chadwick, Mikal Sandoval, Robert Cromeans & Floyd Kenyatta. As owner of Twisted Scissor Salon, Connie Murphy is here to make sure that everything about your visit is perfect. Your decision to visit us is a choice that we deeply appreciate.
