I am an experienced shooter with experience in law enforcement but this was my first time at this range or any DNR range for that fact. The range officer handed my mother an I a list of rules to read. We explained to him we were first timers there and he did not offer any form of explanations as to how things worked at that range. Twice I had to go ask questions and his explanations were weak. During a firing break while no firing was allowed, I mistook this for a ceasefire and went to hang my target (yes, my mistake). Instead of simply and RESPECTFULLY getting my attention and correcting me adult to adult, he yelled at me over the speaker like I was a child while there was an audience. My mother and I decided to immediately pack up and leave. I went to the office to make a complaint and the manager was apologetic and made it a point to mention many other people have made comlaints about him, but made excuses for the ranger officer stating "he's just gruff", "that's how he treats his family", and even mentioned that the DNR paid $3000 to send him to anger management. That last point makes me question the managers competence considering she disclosed personnel information and seems to enable the behavior of a range officer with an apparent anger management problem. This officer is dangerous and needs to be removed from his position immediately!

They claimed for it to have "no legible serial number" despite it having a four digit serial number on the frame. I mentioned that the ATF doesn't necessarily require serials from guns made before 1968. However they claimed a corporate policy is what prevented the sale to go through. Now I have to spend an additional 200$ for shipping and transfer fees to get it back. I won't be transferring a gun here again, I'll rather do it at Midwest on grape road where I know I won't have problems. I will come back to the store to use their range until Midwest range opens theirs up. Then I'll leave and not come back here except if there are great sales going on. Disappointing.

My husband had shot guns and was fairly comfortable with them, but I went into the class very nervous. Our instructor was Rayth and he did such a great job at explaining things in a thorough way without making me feel dumb for my lack of knowledge. He was patient, professional, and I left feeling so confident. I have never been so rudely accosted by someone DEMANDING to see my membership card…read more When I asked to see the card of the person DEMANDING to see my card, I was told if I didn't present my card I'd have my ass kicked off the range and that the individual asking to see my card didn't need one because "I live here". If you wonder why membership is dwindling, perhaps you should have a less aggressive caretaker who realizes the membership not only pays him, but provides him a home. I doubt I will renew my membership again. Note, I have shot at this range and have been a member off and on since the late 80s and have never been treated this rudely before!

She knows nothing about firearms and needed appraisals to settle his estate. Three gun shops low-balled the value and wanted to buy them at those estimates and refused to try to sell them on consignment. I found Precision Arms on the internet and Todd explained in great detail how they would sell them on an internet auction site. Long story short, all guns were sold in probably 30 days and for far more than they were originally appraised for. In addition, Todd kept both Rachael and me informed as to how things were going. They did what they said they would--top notch professionalism and communication. Precision Arms is my new favorite gun store!
