Very dishonest and misrepresented time and labor charging $300/hr. Would not recommend.

Avoid Jake and Fox Valley Landscaping, his promises and work are worthless. He fails to live up to his commitment/promises. Please contact me via LinkedIn to learn of the deceit and failed promises. I will share his emails and texts to give you a sense of what happened. When Jake rolls out his religous beliefs and how he recognizes his pricing is higher than his competitors as evidence of his "My word is a reflection of my strongly held beliefs" RUN AWAY. This is how I was convinced he would honor his word.......WHAT A MISTAKE!! Please reach out ot me on Linkedin, before you make the same mistake I did. I have a Hortonville address and will respond via Linkedin.

One such issue was a breadown in a paver sanding product. Jake personally oversaw the repair of the product until it was fully resolved. This is true integrity. Do not hesitate to use this company

One star given, as the work they did on our lawn is satisfactory. Unfortunately that is the only…read moregood thing I can say about this business. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had working with landscapers. Beyond horrible communication and unprofessional crew. If you choose to work with this company, know that you will never hear from them once you sign a quote, they will randomly show up at your home unannounced whenever they please, and will never ever discuss anything with you before, during, or after the process. Our experience: We were told that work would begin weeks ago on a Monday, and would take about 3 days to complete. Monday rolls around and no one shows up, no one calls, nothing. Tuesday: no one shows up, no one calls, or returns our calls from the day prior. The third day, around noon, a couple of guys pull up to my house, and I go outside to greet them. They look confused when they see me and I ask if they are here to work on the lawn. They say yes. I tell them to watch out for an underground hornets nest and point to it. One of the men walks up to it and proceeds to spit a loogie down into the nest in front of me. I was completely grossed out and highly uncomfortable. They worked for a half a day and never returned the rest of the week. Again, zero contact. After many calls, attempting to gain clarity on when they would be working on our yard, my husband was able to speak to someone who finally revealed that they are "behind schedule" due to rain. They said the crew would be back over some time next week to keep working. The following Monday, I'm working from home, and hear some random person walking all around my yard and the side of my house. He drove up early in the morning in an unbranded car, did not introduce himself, and it actually freaked me out so bad that I nearly called the cops. Turns out it was just one of the landscapers checking out the work that was already done, which my husband was able to confirm after (yet again) reaching out to THEM to inquire if they had come to the house. A lack of communication, yet again. The rest of the week they never returned, with (you guessed it) zero outreach. At this point I'm beginning to feel like we're getting scammed. Finally, the third week later, after many calls and texts back and forth, they show up two days in a row to complete the job. Again, no knocks on the door, no communication whatsoever. They finished on that Wednesday, and not once contacted us to let us know the job was done. They rolled out sod in our backyard, and never gave us instructions on how to care for it or what to even do with it. Yes looking back we should have done our research, but this is also our first time with sod. Keep in mind, we had no idea if they were still working on the yard due to ZERO communication throughout this entire experience. We thought perhaps they had more they were working on, as we had several things they were doing. How hard would it have been for someone to knock on the door, let us know they were done, and asked if we had any questions??? It is now the Monday after. Surprise, surprise, We had to reach out to THEM to ask if they were finished with the job. They said yes. We are literally missing TWO peony bushes they claim to have trimmed back and "replanted". I have no clue where they even replanted them. I won't be surprised if they never bloom next spring. Please please do yourself a favor and find someone else to work with. I so regret working with this company. Save yourself the stress and money. I am angry beyond belief that we have had to do all of the communication with this business. I understand being behind schedule due to circumstances out of your control. But as the consumer paying thousands of dollars to have work done, I should not have to BEG you to contact me back to let me know when you'll be showing up, and to have a progress update every now and then, especially when you claim to be finished with the project we're paying for.

PROs: (1) Colleen did an impressive job creating a 3D landscape design. We outlined our requirements in an email, which she captured perfectly in her 1st draft design. Then during a live Zoom call to review the design, she listened intently to our feedback and incorporated that into the final design. I would give Colleen a 5-star rating. (2) Earthscape subcontracted the landscape irrigation to Wolverine. Wolverine's quality of service was excellent in terms of proactive communication for scheduling and education in how to use the Rain Bird system. We would HIGHLY recommend Wolverine and give them 5 stars. (3) The sod and the maple tree in our front yard met our expectations. Looks beautiful! (4) The Earthscape crew is hardworking and the installation goes quickly when they are on site. CONs: (1) Poor follow-thru and lack of proactive communication about the sequence of events and the schedule. You will end up doing the follow-up feeling like you're pulling teeth to get an answer. (2) Unclear which subcontractors we were supposed to arrange, and which ones Earthscape will arrange. (a) Found out last-minute that we were to have contacted our own electrician to provide wiring for the irrigation system. This cost is extra beyond Earthscape's quote. And because this was not proactively communicated to us, resulted in a delay to the overall schedule. (b) Was given a direct invoice by Wolverine whose costs were supposed to be covered in Earthscape's quote. (3) The 3D landscape design shows fully mature plants and coverage. What you actually get is a seedling or sprout that will take years to mature. As novice homeowners, we wished this expectation had been explained up front, or given the option to plant more mature plants. (4) Other neighbors who had contracted different landscapers showed us diagrams and documentation they received about what plants were installed where and how to maintain them. We had not received anything like that, so we had to request it 3 times. Originally requested in July, after 2 more prompts, received it in late September.
