My son bought a truck from this dealer. It blew engine before he got home. Dealer said he would put new engine in for him. Ends up he got one from a scrap yard with ovet 180000 miles on it. His mechanic put it in and it still ran like crap when picked up. He said it's old truck how do you expect it to run. Carry jumper cables with you. Would not take truck back or refund money. Took it to a real mechanic that said the engine was not put in right. Loose engine mounts, bolts not tight and missing. Negative and positive cables butchered. If you value your money don't buy from this dealer. read more

This man is very rude. He was pushing us off his lot until i told him i wanted to buy a truck before this Sunday.We did not like his price on a beat up Dodge that was extremely over priced. When we told him a counter offer he got extremely heated and started yelling at us telling us our money was no good here and to get the hell of his lot. All this happened while another couple was on the lot. Out of all the places around I strongly suggest going else where. HE IS A CROOK! Do not even give this scum the time of your day. read more

Copied from my BBB complaint: ""To begin, my experience with Two Car Guys was very good INITIALLY (read on). The guy who was there when I test drove the car was nice and helpful (I thought). They resolved some minor issues (which later was used to justify non-disclosure of a known defect in the car, and when I filled out the paperwork the lady who helped me was super nice. However, on the drive home from the dealership I noticed that the sun roof didn't work and sounded like it was letting a lot of wind in. So, I sent an email letting them know. Here is the email I sent as soon as I got to work: "Hello XXXXX, I came in and drove a 2010 Lincoln MKZ off the lot today. I loved the drive back to downtown. However, the sunroof does not work and has a fair amount of wind noise. Would it be okay if I brought the car back for you to look at it?" There was no response, so I follow up with a call about 15 minutes ago (24 hours after driving the car off the lot). That's where things got out of control. I introduced myself and told him (I believe the owner) what my problem was. He (owner) informed me that they new about the issue and that they don't work on sunroofs. So, I asked, calmly, why they didn't disclose the defect when I test drove or purchased the car. He (owner) told me that he wasn't there when I test drove it. So, I told him, again frustrated but calmly, that I found that answer unacceptable. It would have been nice to know that there was an issue before I purchased the car. At this point he starts yelling at me. When I told him, again calmly, he was yelling he claimed he wasn't... He then proceeded to not allow me to speak" for about 3 minutes while he yelled at me over the phone. I wasn't able to get a word in edge wise. I then said, well this conversation is obviously over and I would be getting it fixed and then going from there. He then proceeded to accuse me of threatening him and yelling more for another 3 minutes. That's when I told him the conversation was over and I hung up. When I got off the phone my boss even mentioned how crazy that conversation was as he could overhear the guy (owner) yelling at me and how I couldn't get a word in. I am an extremely reasonable person. I would have been content with the conversation without the yelling. However, the outrageously poor customer service, personal conduct, and frankly immature action of this person is highly unprofessional. I would suggest that, no matter the price, no one purchase a car from this place... I love the car, but already regret having given this guy any of my money."" read more

Less than poor service. Don't waste your time, energy, or money here. I inquired about the business's offering of a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE for $4900.00; (which the car in of itself has a rather good rating.) No matter. As the car was going to be bought for my teenage kids I asked the Business Owner, namely John Sands, to provide an update in respect to the vehicle's history, any upcoming repairs, maintenance issues, tires, belts, bushings, battery, filter, oil change and if the car had it's transmission flushed. In essence, a set of very basic questions anyone with half a brain would ask. I also stated prior to my purchasing the car I would like the opportunity to have it checked out. After all, with 110,000 miles on the car and with teenagers driving it to work, soccer practice and elsewhere, such a request would be reasonably common right? Evidently not to this business owner. I get an immediate response from John Sands stating I need a $14999.00 car and not a $4999.00 car. He then proceeds to tell me that I need to raise the bar. He additionally expressed "Good luck in taking cars in this price range to mechanics, I have been in business 14 years & it rarely if ever works out." Yes, those are his exact words. And so, was this his attempt to upsell a potential client to a more expensive car or did he just admit that his car is pure junk? And if this one is junk, what does that say about the other vehicles for sale on his lot? If you have the money to waste, the time to engage in sophomoric dialogue and if you don't care about your family's safety, the quality of your purchase or being frequently broke down in need of a towing service then Two Car Guys comes highly recommended. If however, you're seeking a halfway decent car from a reputable dealership, at a fair price, that delivers a feeling of peace, then do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

biggest crooks and thieves !! Went in to look at a 2014 BMW 428i. The car was not funded due to income requirements, no GPS. They had me driving the car around thinking I "purchased" it, had me pay $36 for a safety inspection. The radio in the BMW did not work, they refused to fix it and left hostile, threatening, harassing messages on my cell late at night, and texts, daily. There was no buyers guide on the car when I looked at it or test drove it, or in my paperwork. They were hostile about my inquiry, and the drivers guide produced wasn't legit an unsigned. I returned the BMW one week after I supposedly "bought" it, got my $thousand dollars down payment and my old Chevy with 243,000 miles on it back. I walked in a single middle aged woman, making 30 grand a year with bad credit, with a $grand to buy a vehicle. They stole my time and $36 for a safety inspection for a vehicle that was never funded, and my name was never on the title. All the trash cans in the office were overflowing, the BMW was filthy, old taffy wrapper sticky in the console, the seatbelt stunk like cheap axe cologne, and the radio speakers were blown, issues issues issues. They are a Jefferson County punk Hoosiers and really jacked me around! Thank god my bf is a finance mgr at an auto dealer she saved me and I got out of the deal completely! read more

He sold us a lemon. He also yelled at me. I don't know why we didn't just leave. We paid 10,000 for a truck. It only ran for about 4 weeks. We were told by several mechanics it needed a used engine installed that cost 5-6 thousand. We can't afford to do that. My husband tried to rebulid it at a cost of 2000.00. Nope. That didn't do it. So 300.00 a month to look at it sitting in the driveway. And that's not including the full coverage insurance. read more

At first our experience was great. John was very kind and worked with us amazingly. The vehicle we bought was great and we received a great price. BUT...... We had it set up for him to do a touch up on the vehicle he said he would do courtesy on him which was done 7 out of 10 stars on the job and was appreciated but here's were the bad comes in. My car was driven quite a bit in the short time he had it. My vehicle was also filthy inside and out (even the back seat) when I picked it up but when I dropped it off I left my vehicle clean. Very disappointed in the way my vehicle was treated after we bought from him. Shame that we thought he was actually a great guy! He has now lost my service. read more

I just bought a truck from this guy he was very polite to me and my girlfriend. He gave us a 30 day warranty. The next day we heard a ticking noise so we told john the owner about it and he took the truck to the ford dealership and had it fixed for us with no problems. I don't have good credit but he did get me approved. the interest rate was a little high at the first bank so he shopped around for me and got me a good interest rate.. If I need another vehicle I will check his car lot first read more

Just felt the need to write this review to thank John for helping so many people I know, as well as myself, get treated fairly and honestly when buying a car. This guy isn't out to get anyone. His prices are great and he is straight with everyone who comes on the lot. I'll second that the guy can get offended easily and can be hotheaded, I've been in a lot and have seen it myself lol, but what are you looking for, an honest guy who can give you a great deal on a car, or a guy who puts up with every nonsensical thing that comes out of your mouth but will completely rip you on the car. Ill go with the good price from an honest guy. John cares about giving everyone a fair deal, I've sent many many people to him over the years, 0 have got unfair prices. I'm fairly certain that every car he has ever sold was below kbb value, by a lot. Go in and check for yourself, look up the value of any car he has, his prices simply cannot be beat. If you say that you went here and got an unfair price on a car then I would have no problem calling you a liar to your face. If you say John got loud with you and it hurt your feelings...well that may be true haha, but again, I'm looking for a good value and an honest dealership when I look for a car, everything else really means nothing to me. The last car I bought here was two thousand! (Not $200, $2000) below kbb and I drove it daily for years. I got a car that was $13-15k everywhere and kbb at $13k for $11k. DEAL! I sent a friend here who got a similar deal (a mustang for a couple grand below book) and John even put rotors on his car 3 weeks after the deal was done. Wow. Not sure about anyone else, but I personally won't afford to pay thousands more to find a fake smiley face at a large dealership. read more

I have never been through any thing like this before! Went in and test drove three cars. Chose one. Made a deal. Came back an hour later to pay, cash no less, for the car and asked if he had filled the gas tank. This salesman went ballistic telling me he has never gassed up any rigs for his 2300 (he claims) customers. I told him every dealer I buy a car from fills the tank. He proceeded to tell me how bad the economy is and how we think dealers make all kinds of money, etc. my wife came in and said " the tank is full". He yelled at her stating she was lucky. My wife asked if she had said something wrong. I told her no and thought about it for.a minute then picked up my money saying I don't think I wanted to deal with him. Being a professional he proceeded to curse me out and yelled for me to leave. As I excited the building he got in my face threatening to call the Sherriff. We left and will never go back there again and hope this will steer others away from a similar experience. read more
