I am obsessed. I just visited this spot for the first time today. Drove out to Hico from Dallas for the day and had to stop. This spot is a must stop any time you are within an hour of it. Holly and Kevin are wonderful. The food is amazing. Its fresh and sustainable. They are real people making a difference in their community and providing some damn fine food while they are at it! My friend and i shared a chicken salad pimento sandwich that came with a side of potato salad. I got a rose lemonade, peach kolache, a couple cookies, a journal, dog soap, reusable face cloths and brie! So many different sustainable locally sourced items. Reminds of home (pnw). read more

Wonderful little spot in Hico! We were just passing through on a road trip and what a delightful surprise. The owners were incredibly kind and friendly, atmosphere was calm and cozy. We loaded up on some baked good and bread for the road and wow!! So sad to think we live so far away and will not be close to come back anytime soon. Everything we bought was amazing! We stopped in to pick up some homemade baked goods. Wish I had eaten here because the salads and sandwiches sounded fantastic. The bread is artisanal and sourdough. I got a raisin, apple cinnamon loaf that is so good. The kolaches r soft and really good, especially the raspberry/lime. Also got a margarita cookie that was delicious. They roast their own coffee also. For a small town restaurant this place is way good and well worth the drive. read more

We eat here all the time and thought it was about time to leave a Yelp review. We recently moved to the area and found this place to be a refreshing oasis for us. Kindred spirits own the place who are as nice and sweet as can be. The food is also extremely delicious. I recommend getting a kolache for the road. read more

Super kind staff and lots of character to the seating! Came here to drop off sons dog so came for the outdoor seating.But the food blew us away. Chicken salad with pimento spread on homemade sourdough-pecan bread grilled was the best! My husband had the meatloaf grilled sandwich and was very pleased.Our lunch came with the best soup with tomato base and multiple fresh veggies topped with shredded cheese-really phenomenal. Dessert was included in the super inexpensive lunch so we ate this crazy great sweet potato pecan pie! Tea was included and we will be back! Cute gift shop too with homemade preserves. read more

This is our absolute favorite place for lunch around the Stephenville area. The owners Kevin & Holly are the nicest folks and their children who help out are so kind! Every weekend is a different lunch Kevin makes with seasonal produce and it's always delicious!! It's such a comforting environment and feels like you've visited a family members house for lunch. I cannot even begin to describe the kindness and generosity of Kevin & Holly. There are "Chef Owners", and then there is the extra love and fellowship that Kevin & Holly give openly to their clients. Kevin whipped up something special just for me, as I am a vegetarian... and I was borderline hangry from a long road trip from Marble Falls back to Dallas. The selection within their Market of their Farm-to-Market concept was phenomenal - organic veggies, eggs, ceramics, local honey, GF and Dairy-Free cookbooks, hand-forged tools, loose-leaf teas, preserves, pickles, hemp/CBD oil, made-from-scratch baked goods, etc. They made us feel beyond welcome to Hico, and we cannot wait to make the drive from Dallas back to visit them - such was the quality of their hospitality, culinary skills, live music, and fellowship. Kevin has a beautiful voice and plays guitar exquisitely. He sang "Magnolia Wind" for myself and Peter, and covered it better than Guy Clark. Brought me to utter tears for many reasons. No matter where you are in Texas, if you are driving through Hico, STOP HERE POST HASTE to see what life outside the Matrix is like. Or, better yet, just make a special trip. This place was so quaint and amiable! I picked up some organic loose tea leaves and some miniature pots to plant some small succulents in. The produce looked amazing and the fresh rolls with grilled onion on top were absolutely heavenly-- the best rolls I've ever had! I've been meaning to come back for more but I live too far away. It's a great family owned business and I highly recommend stopping if you're driving through the Hico area!!! read more
