Two Clay Bird's is an absolute gem!! The kindest, most genuine people combined with stellar homemade food. The bread is soo good, the best you'll find anywhere near here. They have a few lunch options per week, and every one I've tried is spectacular. Highly recommend stopping by!

Wiseman House Chocolates - Hico, TX…read more This chocolate was requested by White House during Inauguration. This place is for connoisseurs of chocolate. It's a cute home, turned into chocolate store. When you first walk in, someone from staff greets you with a Texas Hospitality. You have multiple room options to go and explore their variety of white, dark and milk chocolates. Each chocolate is carefully crafted with only natural ingredients. If you're a connoisseur of cigars, you'll appreciate their selection of cigar-shaped chocolates. Most of the chocolates are inspired after the great state of Texas. But they offer much more than just chocolate. Most of their products is organic. They offer sauces, candles, soaps, colognes, and more. Stop by to find out all they offer. I stopped by here and bought Top 6, Signature Truffle Collection, "Wild Woman," (Bold & Dark). "Texas Pecan," (Native Pecans). "Love Potion," (Cinnamon Ancho & Chipotle). "Snooky," (Coffee & Kahlua). "Dark Rufus," (Fruity Undertones). "Southern Hospitality," (Jack Daniels). And if you're a dark chocolate connoisseur, stop by and pick up their great selection of dark options. I also grabbed, "Sea Salt, Almonds, & Dark Chocolate," bar with 55% Cacao. If you prefer to shop from comfort of your home, feel free to contact them and see what shipping options they offer. This is a great place to find local plants and flowers that will thrive in your garden. They have unique garden decor and pottery. I was able to get two really hard to buy for people birthday gifts. They have fresh fruit, veggies, nuts, and other food items that you cannot find at awalmart. For Fall decorating, you could not ask for a better place. The hay bells, unique pumpkins, and other fall fun is available. Even before we moved to Weatherford, we would drive here just to visit and this was a must stop on our list. If I need some retail therapy, to treat myself, of a special gift, you can bet I am going here. They have such friendly staff. The prices are mostly fair too You are highly likely to catch me here. Make sure and tell them Ashley sent you and that I said I would be back soon!

Going to a farmers market you go with an expectation that you are getting local grown products,…read moreright? Well, today I saw that is a lie, I'm paying a farmers market price mark up for the same berries and things I could walk across the street and get at the big name grocery store. As I stood there in awe watching the girl take the strawberries from the plastic containers "from California" on the side- great from the poison insecticide place I was trying to avoid- and putting them into cute baskets to charge me 350% more I guess I will stop believing this is local and just go to the grocery store. This was really sad to see this place isn't shooting local farmers and selling local produce just the same stuff you can find at the store for less and get the same insecticide sprayed produce at less cost. There are some local products (honey and canned goods) but the produce and things are straight from the grocery store and made to "look" local.
