We had Cal from Two Day back out again to look at some interior work we were putting off forever. Living room, 2 story foyer and the kitchen. We sat down and figured out a gameplan where we could have this project completed while we are vacation. Things worked out perfectly and when we arrived home, walked into a beautiful new color! The workers cleaned up and put everything back exactly as they were. We couldn't be more pleased with the workmanship, flexibility and the sense of trust that we could leave these folks do their work without us there. I have been dealing with this nightmare for 1 1/2 years now. I hired Two Day to paint my newly purchased house in Fall of 2024. They sent clueless subcontractors who spoke no English, and caused extensive damage to my home. Two Day has refused many requests to fix anything unless I pay them in full first - leaving my new home in horrible shape all this time. They used a wood stain(NOT rated for metal, per the MDS) on all the metal downspouts, gutters, and patio door causing immediate and extensive bubbling/peeling of the paint. A proper fix would require everything to be completely striped and redone with a properly rated product, and the labor cost of doing so would be enormous. No other contractors I talked to wanted to touch it and recommended full replacement. My quoted replacement costs for the damaged items is just shy of $25,000! Two Day is now trying to sue me for full payment plus ridiculous fees and interest, while shirking any and all responsibility. It is due to a small clause in the contract that states "All disputes will go through NARI mediation and arbitration" that they have avoided taking any responsibility thus far. What the contract doesn't say, is that going through NARI(National Association Remodeling Industry), which Two Day is a member of, requires a $2000 non-refundable upfront fee! There is no way I was going to hand over an additional $2000 to their questionably 'unbiased' member organization just to get them to fix their mistakes and satisfy the original contract. As I refused to pay the $2000, Two Day and NARI conducted some kind of kangaroo arbitration hearing without me present, refusing to allow any of my evidence of their negligence and damage. The arbitrator only heard Two Day's lies and omissions and ruled in their favor. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Stay FAR away from Two Day Painting, and for that matter anyone whose contract demands that disputes must go through NARI's $2000 Clown Court. ------------------------- Re: Garret's response on April 8th I've never worked with you Garret on this matter. You haven't been out to my house to see the results. But I think the photos paint a pretty clear picture for everyone. The fact that you can't refute any of my points is also very telling for all. Despite the weaselly way you try to reword things and frame them in your favor, it's all essentially just lies by omission. Because you know full well: 1) You used a wood-only stain on the metal parts of my house against manufacturer specifications. Your negligence here is clearly documented. 2) All of your 'generous offers' were contingent on you getting paid in full first. As if I am foolish enough to give up all my leverage and just trust a company that has already demonstrated extreme negligence and damaged my property. 3) I absolutely did NOT ever refuse to participate in the mediation or present evidence. I refused to pay a surprise $2000 non-refundable fee to NARI that was never disclosed in your contract(you REALLY should!) - and because of that I WAS BARRED from showing up and presenting any of my extensive evidence. Why would someone throw away another $2000? When the best possible outcome would be NARI forcing you to send the same terrible workers of questionable legal status back out and hoping for a better outcome this time. Your MO is clear. Promise anything verbally - do everything you can to avoid it being documented in writing. Send the cheapest bargain basement subcontractors to do a rushed job. Then use your warranty to hold over dissatisfied customers heads so they don't complain or leave you bad reviews - because they already paid you in full and they are just hoping you will show some shred of decency and professionalism and maybe fix some things. If you had any at all, you would understand that it is unethical to negligently damage someones house using improper products for the material getting painted and then demand full payment before you will even attempt to fix it. You would understand that it is unethical to just ignore multiple items that were promised in the contract and in writing that objectively and admittedly went unfulfilled - and then demand full payment. As far as me "honoring the court's decision" - you know full well no such decision has been made because the matter has yet to see a courtroom. NARI's one-sided $2000 pay-to-play arbitration hearing is not court. I hope you can reflect on this and do the right thing Garret. I'll offer you the benefit of the doubt since it's possible you were not provided full information by Eric Rauterberg. But if not, let me be clear: You are not going to get away with this read more

Second Year having problems with their administrative people. Can't rate about their job ... and probably being blessed to not deal with them. A couple years ago, called them to do an estimate for a internal painting to fix an infiltration on our dinner room. Their answer, besides a HUGE amount to do it was, they don't do this type of job - what it's OK, I understand, but they didn't have ANYONE to indicate for the job. It's hard to believe, until my wife suggested they didn't want do the job. Maybe too small for them? Anyways ... forgetting about this episode, and looking on Google for "professionals" to fix my deck, I found them again. Initially, very nice at the phone and they already had ALL my info. After hand up the phone, I remembered the episode, but once it's only to do an estimate, let's see ... Scheduled for two days ahead at 9am, I received a call from them a day after we were OK, to reschedule to another day ... why? Ahnnnn ... it's because ... Due the storm happened FOUR DAYS BEFORE MY CALL, they got a high volume of the services ... but exactly it's not suppose the person who schedule all apps to knows that? Very upset, on both sides - me because I planned my whole week agenda based on that app and she, because I was not "flexible enough" for a service that I WILL PAY FOR - but I could re-arrange to be visited at 1:30pm. "Just in case", I called 11:00am to be sure they are coming on time because I had to leave at 2pm for several important errands. Following THEIR email for me, the service (estimate) it will take from 15 to. 30 minutes, and when I told the secretary that I HAVE TO LEAVE NO LATER THAN 2pm, she already start asking me to be "more flexible" about their arrival and amount of calculations ... As I said, I can't say anything about their services but, based on customer service before even get to know how much they will make ... at 60yo I already had tons of experience with contractors, enough to know if doesn't start well, probably will ended the worst possible way. And like several people will say: there are tons of professionals outside, it's just time to meet the one that matches your needs. read more

This is an update to my review of 4 years ago, as we again contracted with Two-Day Painting, this time for painting of our laundry room, two bedrooms, and repair and painting of two ceilings. We asked specifically for Charlie who, again, did a superb job. Always on time, meticulous and just a professional, thorough job. Charlie is quiet, courteous and dedicated to doing a great job. The second aspect to our complete satisfaction was the effort made by project manager John. Although Charlie didn't need supervision, John checked in every day, and we are so glad he did. He helped us move appliances out of the basement and then, on a Sunday, came over to help put the appliances back, including hooking up the dryer. Note that all this was completely voluntary. John was great. Two-Day Painting is very fortunate to have both Charlie and John and we will be sure to ask for them again. read more

2 day estimator, stood in my yard, his car clearly marked 2 day painting, parked in my driveway after giving my neighbor an estimate. "Wrote" down my name, address, phone number and email. Shook my hand and said he would have my estimate by end of the day. Well after 6 business days of waiting, I called the 2 day. They said the never heard of me. Gave them my neighbors name. Same thing, never heard of them. Funny thing, asked the neighbor what happened, he got their overpriced estimate same day both of us were "quoted". He sent Amanda Krieger, Color Coordinator; who helped us greatly to choose the best color for our interior. John Grosso the project manager was 'hands on' for all aspects. He was very efficient friendly his main focus was the quality of the job at hand. He went to the paint supplier and matched the paint color exactly to the area I didn't need painted. I've used Two Day Painting twice now. The first time near the end of the summer 2 years ago for the exterior of my house. Great results. They even came back the following Spring to fix some quality items that I didn't think much of, but that their team wanted to make sure were done correctly. So when I decided to paint the interior of my home this winter they were my first stop. We had every room and ceiling in the house painted; 4 different colors. The crew was AMAZING... they showed up on time every day and cleaned up after themselves. NO MESSES at all. I work from home and was able to hold conference calls because they work so quietly. They moved the furniture and put it back perfectly. These guys like who they work for and were genuinely happy about and took pride in their work. This was a huge job with high ceilings and lots of angles and bullnose corners. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone. read more

We went with two day painting because they have "drywallers" and painters. We had damaged drywall from a recent leak. The day they were to start 2 men arrived. I assumed 1 was a painter and the other a drywaller. I was wrong, they both were painters and attempted to fix my drywall. Let's just say I could have done better. In the end they sent a true drywaller, which should have happened in the first place. It was a big inconvenience as he came back at least 3 times. The paint job was all done in one day, but was sloppy and didn't do a very good job patching nail holes or cleaning up. I sent them an email with my concerns and got no response.They overcharge and are misleading. read more

We hired Two Day Painting to remove wallpaper and to paint the inside of our house. Two hours into the project we were informed that our $75 per hour charge for time and materials went up to $375 an hour. The project manager showed up and was only concerned with what our budget was so they could complete the project. Not everyone on the crew was experienced at removing wallpaper. To continue the project, (which we were going to stop at that time), our salesmen said he could offer us a different crew that was more skilled in this area in taking down the wallpaper. He also said, "They would continue the job on Monday and the project/job would be steadfast in completing." He said, "We could expect a full crew on Monday and they would slam out the project." On Monday,only two workers showed up to complete the job. When we asked why the answer was, "They had to scale back workers due to the inefficient work removing the wallpaper." The project was completed on May 25th. No final inspection was ever done on the completion of the job. We still have one wall in the laundry room that was primed but never painted. The Main Head Project Manager called on May 29th. Left us a voice mail. He said, "He understood there were some issues and wanted to talk about them and set up a final inspection so we could sign off on the work and they could send us a final bill." We called him back within one hour of the voicemail and left a message to call us back. We have yet to hear back from him. Even without a final inspection we did get the final bill promptly the next morning! On June 6th, we received a call from a lady stating that she was hired by Two Day Painting to follow up and see how satisfied we were with the project that was completed. We explained all the issues we had to her. She said she would get to the bottom of our issues and relay our concerns to Garrett, the President of the company and that someone would get back to us. She did say that they would send someone out to paint the wall that was missed but we told her that we did not want them to come back out. We were finished with them. We would just do it ourselves. It's been three weeks now and we have not received a phone call from anyone at Two Day Painting. The bottom line is that we would not recommend this company to anyone and we will never use them again read more

The gentleman doing the quote was professional and answered all my questions very well. I could tell that he knew his stuff. I agreed to do business with the company based on that alone and they scheduled me in. Crew showed up ready to work. I didn't have to complain even once, which is amazing, as someone whose worked as a painter would know. If I had a question the crew foreman answered it. They sealed up holes and cracks in the siding with caulk. They painted window frames with excellence. All straight lines, and no paint where it shouldn't be anywhere on my entire home. We had a bad experience with this company. We signed a contract for $7600 to have trims replaced and painted. We were later surprised an extra $700 worth of trim was replaced without our consent or knowledge until it was completed. The company still expected to be paid for it, which we did. It is common sense to inform and obtain consent from the homeowner anytime you do more then the contract and expect to be paid for it. overall, communication was poor and quality was poor. Even after 8k worth of work was done, there were still a few areas of trim that we felt needed to be replaced and there were many areas of trim that needed more paint or were not painted at all. We should have gotten more bids before making a decision. I would not recommend this company or be careful they don't scam you into paying more then your contract without your knowledge. Legally, I don't know if we even have to pay for this extra work but it's not worth our time and effort dealing anymore with these people. read more

Was looking for someone to repaint the trim on our house. We had 5 different companies come out and bid the job. This company was at least $3,000 dollars higher than the other 4 companies that came out. Needless to say we won't be using Two Day Painting. read more

I would not hire this company again. I contarcted with it to paint my 60 foot porch. I was told the paint they used was the very best and that it would last "a long time." Two months later, it was peeling. After a few months more, more peeling. I contacted the company and waited five months for them to come out and look at the problem. I was told that my porch wasn't in the best condition so, basically, what did I expect. I said, "Then why did your man tell me the paint would last 'a long time'??" "Well," they responded, "he shouldn't have said that." Their painter scraped, sanded, and primed the porch before painting. After paying $2,000his job (which included some replacement boards), I feel like I got ripped off with the paint job. If they felt my porch was in such bad condition, they should have rejected the work or quoted a price that would have reflected the condition they had to work with. After much bantering back and forth, they finally agreed to rectify the problem with another paint job, but then they started playing games with me -- they wanted me to remove all the negative reviews I had written before they did any work. After waiting 5 months for someone to come out the last time? No way. I am not happy with this company and cannot recommend them. read more
