I searched for garage door repair, found this company with top reviews, and gave them a call. There isn't any negative feedback in this review. 1-4 are all positive. Want details, keep reading! 1. Initial Call / Operator I called the office and a young lady answered. She was very pleasant, took all my information, and told me a technician would come out to provide a free quote within three hours. She also asked how I found them, and I let her know it was through Yelp. 2. Timeline of Arrival The technician, Angel arrived earlier than the initial timeline. He called beforehand to let me know he was on the way and would be arriving sooner, which I appreciated. We needed to get the garage fixed as quickly as possible so that worked out for us. 3. Technician Angel explained that he could repair it, but it would basically be a band-aid fix. Our tracks were bent and there was another issue, so we'd likely run into the same problem again. He offered to replace the garage door right then, which made us happy since we store important items in our garage. Unfortunately, he didn't have our door type on his truck and it had to be ordered. We scheduled installation for Monday. 4. Installation Angel arrived Monday as planned. He told me the process would take about two hours to remove the old door and install the new one. He was true to his word. It actually took a little less than two hours. He also gave recommendations based on the slight pitch of our foundation and shared tips for 6 month maintenance. He was friendly, professional, and cleaned up after himself. To answer your question.... YES!! I would absolutely call them again for any garage repairs and would recommend them. To put in perspective: Home Depot installed the highest end Simonton windows possible with the specs requested and came in at around $7k installed. Which means that HomeSealed has excessive profits padded in. So...if you don't care about the money side, they might be perfectly fine to work with as a local outfit. EDIT: laminated was requested as a cost compare option, not a requirement. Even if laminated were a requirement, Home Depot's was still cheaper by over $3k. Fact is - as we said - HomeSealed is just priced higher because they don't use every manufacturer, they only use the ones they use, which tend to lean the higher cost. That's what we said: they might be fine at their job and you might want the best of whatever, maybe they're fine. BUT...if you're like 95% of homeowners who feel that significant pricing differences for basic things like colors is illogical, HomeSealed isn't for you.

A little backstory: We are a military family and were not able to be here for the inspection and closing of our house due to being stationed in Virginia. We're first time home owners and being from the coast, it's also our first time maintaining a basement. The previous owners did a below-par job rigging our sump pump pipes and our inspector failed to mention it in his report. Paul noticed and explained how the way they rigged it was not efficient. While we were inspecting the front of the house where it currently drains, we found out from my neighbor that it previously had drained out the back of the house. The problem was it was flooding/freezing his garage since he is on lower ground. No matter how far you run the drain line out, it still goes down to his yard. Our previous owners rectified his issue by running varying sized pipes from the sump pump at the back of the house to the front of the house. This made the pump work even harder and the pipes were dipping in some places and higher in others. We were able to discuss the pros and cons of having it pump out the front or the back. Ultimately we don't want to have an issue with the neighbor and we'd have to install an expensive french drain if we ran it out the back. So we made plans to amend the situation in the spring by replacing the pipes, making them the same size, supporting/securing them to the ceiling better, and making sure it's pitched. We also plan to upgrade the way it flows out of the front yard. The main reason for his visit was to replace our sump pump which had been out of service for a few months, likely due to the bad rigging and who knows how old it was. He did this quickly and installed a new one in a timely manner. No pressure to make the other fixes until we are ready. We have a 5 year warranty on our pump and a one year labor warranty should we have any issues with the install! His rates were really great and we are happy with the price. We called around to other places and he was extremely competitive in comparison. Very satisfied and will recommend Morris Plumbing and use them again in the future!
