I hired Two men and a Truck to help me move some very heavy equipment for my work. It was a 40 minute drive between the two locations and not only were they timely, but they really hustled at both places since we pay by the hour. They were extremely careful, pleasant and were wonderful to work with. I chose to hire them because we used them for our house move six years ago and were so impressed with the job they did and the amount we paid. I would absolutely recommend them for any move locally. We hired them to move 4 miles and they charged us for 45 minutes of drive time to start. Mind you, they we're not that far away from us. That was just the start. They charged us over $200 more than the top quote. The truck was maybe half full and everything was boxed and in the hallway ready to go. They stated they went over in hours which is correct, but if you take your time that is easy to do. I called the next day to ask about it and they did nothing about it and then hung up. Quote - they offer a quote online. HOWEVER, this requires them to come to your house, even when you tell them you are NOT ready for someone to take inventory. All we wanted was an approximate quote to move. Dont believe websites that offer "free online quotes". Inventory - the guy we had 1) missed several items 2) added items that we were NOT takin 3) DOUBLED up on items (added items we were taking from the basement and added them to the bedroom inventory too). No wonder our quote was expensive. 4) we said about 20 totes that they might be taking, so of course, he doubled that. We said maybe 2 suitcases, he put down 10. They do NOT listen. We told him we might be taking a lot down ourselves, we just didnt know and we were NOT ready for someone to come out for inventory. Office - we have called them MULTIPLE times. They 1) transfer you and hang up completely 2) rude stating this is "not my contract to deal with" and hang up instead of forwarding our call to the correct person. 3) they never, ever call you back. We told them our move date and they didnt tell us until the week OF that "yes we have 1 truck left. Oh, we also need a deposit". They should have had us on the schedule WAY before the week of for a truck (we told the a month ago the move date)!! They should have told us about the deposit BEFORE, not the week of. We also gave them a revised inventory list, that they asked for. They never got back to us with a new estimate. Our representative lied about the time frame she is in the office. She said she is there from 8-5. No...shes there from 9:30 - 5 per co-worker. Called 3-4 times today alone. Still no response via phone or email. Very unprofessional office people and lots of lack of communication. The Move - NEVER happened. Went with another company. Called the other company at 10:15, they came out here at 3:15 and did inventory AND quoted us AND able to move us within 48 hrs. read more

I did not have a good overall experience with Two Men and a truck. The movers were professional enough but they were not organized and efficient. I also had the same issue with the office staff. Even though I gave them a detailed inventory that they acknowledged they gave me a truck that could not accommodate my inventory and I had to make more than one trip for my stuff with the movers. Also, it was a hassle to get this sorted out with the movers and office staff and there was not a discount in sight for time wasted and inconvenience. As a matter of fact, initially they wanted to charge me for having to go back for items left off because the truck they sent could not accommodate. If this was long distance it would have been a nightmare but even moving across town with this type of oversight was a headache. I will not use their services again. read more

Terrible moving experience. Estimate called for 2 trucks. Then we were told 2 weeks before date that our move wouldn't fit. We got rid of a mound of personal items, sold a couch and took two trucks and trailers ourself and they still didn't get our stuff moved. Such a bait and switch! Ops manager was no help and blamed us for their terrible estimate. "But we have a recorded call where we explained everything." Which is simply them telling us last minute that their estimate was bogus and now the price would be double. Customer beware! Your hard copy estimate provided prior to move means nothing. I hired this company this past August to move me. We had moved everything ourselves except 12 items. They started out by starting late. They parked in front of the house and sat there for about 7-10 mins before I finally went out and stood by their truck. They said they were sorry "but one of the guys had to finish their cigarette first"!!! (I'm an ex smoker, none of them had smoke smell on them) after that I knew I'd have to stay on them to keep this moving. One person carried out one dining room chair at a time. While My husband and I were separated a distance from each other, one came to me to show and explain papers to me, about 10 mins later I see them pulling my husband over for the same thing, until I stopped them! Most of the time all 3 of the men were standing together. It took them 20 mins to try to figure out how to get the treadmill out of one smaller room. Not by trying different things, by standing around it TALKING about moving it. We ended up telling them to forget it and that we'd move it ourselves (We had even folded and shrink-wrapped the treadmill for them before they came! Down to 11 items. I was constantly coming up to them and encouraging them to get going. I stopped at the grocery store to get them some water, my husband pulled in a few mins later, he'd left them to come get me because he thought I needed help. (Jed already got them started at the house. The house is a quarter mile from the grocery store. We came home to see them all standing outside. They'd broken the glass top to my kitchen table and said "they felt too guilty to keep moving stuff until we came home". (I filed a claim and they replaced the table top) my bedroom set had a few gouges on it, and my black lacquer piano does too and some scratches.( we noticed later after we'd got settled). They moved 11 items: an already broken down bedroom set, armoire, upright piano, circular couch, just a few regular items. They charged me $600; which was their 4 hour-window quote, which I'd told them there was no way it would take that long as we had done everything for them but to actually move it; the guys kept mentioning that as well. Their business was a few miles away in the same town where I'd lived and we moved a 15 min drive away.). Well, they made it happen with all their stalls and slow, lazy work ethic. I would advise anyone NOT to use them. If they'd tried to work as hard as they'd spent trying to stretch out their time, this would be a whole different review. read more

What a horrible experience! Hired this company to move my 82 year old mom. I was unable to be at the move due to work. This was to be a pack and move. They packed nothing! In fact if it wasn't in a box it didn't get moved. If the large pieces of furniture had décor on top it didn't get moved. Things are scratched up, drawers were a mess. All this for a move 150 yards away. Horrible!!!! My husband and I had a vacation planned and were leaving on the 12th of June. However this local company resulted in the worst move I have ever experienced, with unprofessional movers (young guys) who couldn't have cared less about my property and significantly damaged some pieces.
