Gifted my friend with a top to bottom whole house cleaning for the holidays. They came out to the house to see what was going to need to be done, and followed up with a detailed email from Mellisa covering what was going to be done in each room, as well as their charges and billing procedure. Price was reasonable and fair. The two ladies came as promised, worked their butts off all day long, and did an excellent job according to my friend "spic and span delight" and "smelling deliciously like peppermint aromatherapy rather than commercial cleaning products", is how she described her home after they were done. I hired this company to clean my new home before moving in. Two major requests were to clean all baseboards and all cabinets inside and out. There were other minor things too. The house was empty and easy access. The women did NOT clean any baseboards or cabinets. I called to tell them that the work was not done. All she said was "I'll tell them". No one came out to finish the work and I was charged for the work not done. Stay away from this company. read more

For the past 20 years I have had my house cleaned by individual house cleaners. I have used different individual cleaners through the years. So I have a working knowledge how long it takes two people to clean my house and the going rate. A year ago my husband wanted to save some money and suggested we try to clean our house ourselves. Well, that did not go so well. Instead of setting up cleaning service I decided to try a company for a one time clean. First of all I want to say the woman who came to the house were very professional and polite. I'm giving them 3 stars because the service does not match the cost that two men charges for a house cleaning. For starters it is a company so they have multiple people they have to pay, therefore their price is higher compared to individuals who work for themselves. An individual cleaner's only overhead is themselves. Secondly it is hourly, I notice that the cleaners moved at a slower pace then ones who have cleaned my house in the past. Which was apparent when my bill came due. Due to their slower pace I assume they were doing a deeper cleaning then the cleaners I had the in the past. However when the job was done the level of clean was the same. Normally for a first time clean for my house it runs around $240.00 for 4 hours of cleaning with two cleaners and biweekly $120.00 With two men it was over $450.00 for the same level of clean. That is why I am giving them 3 stars. If you do decide to use them pay close attention to their language of billable hours and the actually number of hours it takes to clean your house. So when they say it will take 4 hours to clean your house that is actually 8 hours of billable hours because there are two cleaners. That was the mistake I made and was billed for 9.5 hours at $45.00 an hour. read more

I was so hoping I would be able to give this company a good review. Their customer Service is excellent. Really excellent. Unfortunately the people who came to clean did a half-assed job, and the job was an easy one at that. I called Two Men and a Vacuum to do a once over on our empty house before our furniture arrived. The house wasn't even that dirty to begin with. They completely missed one of the bathrooms... as in did not even go in there... and also did not clean out all the cabinets, even some I showed them specifically. The company gave me 15% off the invoice, but I'm left paying them $150 AND still having to do some of the cleaning. I was rooting for them but can't recommend them. read more

Here is the review I left on the site Thumbtack: We're trying to get our house move-in ready, we had the place painted and some drywall put up and with that comes some dust and dirt associated with that type of work. Naturally, we wanted this cleaned up before we moved in. The place is pretty much empty except for some tools and paint cans and things left over from the work that was done. I explained to Cody that all of the tools would be moved out of his way. First and foremost I scheduled the appointment for 530, he messaged me back and told me that 430 would work best for them. I agreed and then rearranged my schedule in order to accommodate that time. Cody did not show up until almost 6 o'clock. When I messaged him about being an hour late, he basically just told me that's the way goes in the evening, no apology for the inconvenience. He then took a walk through myAT&T house with a few paint cans and saw the drywall dust floor and said "I actually don't think we're going to be able to do this because this is a construction site." Wow. A company called Two Men and a Vacuum is clearly incapable of vacuuming up drywall dust. I even had a shop vac on site to provide them if need be. So I wasted my entire evening, waited an hour and a half past my appointment time and still didn't get the job done. Not to mention he was not in the least apologetic and completely obnoxious about it. Run far from this company unless you have a job that a two-year-old can do. I would prefer to give them zero stars instead of one but the website won't allow me to do that, just know that in my heart I give them zero stars instead of one. Here is the owner's response: Two M. from Two Men & A Vacuum replied to this review on July 10, 2014: "Sorry we could not perform the cleaning due to construction being performed and many things being in the way of getting a thorough job done. Bri was extremely upset that we do not perform construction cleanups, but we were not informed this in the beginning. Of course we would have told her before scheduling. She was extremely rude that we didn't do something she wanted but unfortunately we do not perform these jobs because we use all natural cleaners and $500 Dyson Vacuums which do not do well in those situations. Our staff took several pictures to show what the house looked like and the reasonings behind us not being able to perform the job. As for being late, we have no idea what she is referring to, our office had her scheduled for 5:30 PM and our GPS tracking system shows our Dirt Specialist arriving at 5:46 PM. We think this is a stituaiton whereas Bri wanted a McDonalds hamburger and we are a steak restaurant. We would love to assist in the future for the more detailed cleaning once the construction is complete and then cleaned up. Thanks so much, Let us know if we can help in the future. And please allow me to say this yet again, THERE WAS NO CONSTRUCTION GOING ON!! Why this guy insists on reiterating that falsehood is beyond me. He also states that his "office" had me scheduled for 5:30 which is also false. HE scheduled me for 4:30 and then showed up at 5:46! Saying that his "office" had me scheduled for an hour later than he scheduled makes him look worse. I am sure he will also respond to this review as he does not know when to quit. You would be surprised that this small business owner showed up to a job site and represented his business in such an obnoxious manner. I think this is a situation of a guy who started a cleaning company but doesn't like to clean. His words to me were, "we are used to dealing with high end clients". Wow. My floors had drywall dust on them from the work that had been done and was now complete, and he called that a construction site. The name of his business is Two Men & a Vacuum and he told me he could not vacuum up drywall dust. Wow again. If you need a cleaning company, and you consider yourself "high-end" or not, please run the other way. read more
