we have had our pups boarding scheduled for months, they recommended he come for a pup camp to get used to the atmosphere. he got kennel cough from this facility and when I called them to talk about his upcoming stay three days away from my vacation they told me he can't stay there even though he fully got sick at their establishment and now I have a sick dog and three days to figure out care for him before my trip that is nonrefundable. read more

Enjoy boarding here but they are super full during the summer, many months in advance, which is great for them but not so great if you have a trip that you didn't book in the spring. After seeing the owner's response to Heather H's review, I decided to look at other reviews and the owner's response to those. It's really telling how dismissive and, at times, combative the responses are. Some advice to the owner: 1) When responding, keep your stories straight. Your initial response to me said you were able to check your detailed kennel records about my dogs visit and blah blah blah. But when my friend, Heather H, called bull on that and asked you to NAME our dogs, you claimed that you couldn't possibly do that without more information. This means you clearly made up those "detailed kennel records" on my pup, because how could you pull up my information and not hers - she was the one who made the reservation. 2) Most complaints seem to be about the staff, not the facility. Maybe stop looking at yelp so much if you're aren't going to utilize the feedback. Seriously, get off line and go check on the dogs and the staff watching them. read more

I've taken my dog here 4-5 times this year to get groomed with hope they will listen to my requests and it never changes. Finally today I decided I will never take my dog back. I told them I wanted a trim and not a shave. They got rid of almost all my dogs hair and all I see is skin. I will be changing groomers as soon as possible. read more

I was very VERY worried about boarding my 7 month old pup when we took an out of state trip. Dogs are family and just like children, you want to feel like they're being well taken care of when you're not around. When I showed up to pick her up on the 10th day, the receptionist knew exactly who my doggie was and was able to tell me how she socialized with other dogs (first time being around a lot of dogs). I liked feeling like she knew my dog and she wasn't just a number to them. When they brought my pup to me, it al It's looked like she didn't want to leave the employee who brought her over (I think his name is Tanner based on the pics on yelp). I was happy to see she felt comfortable with him. He then told my husband and I how she did during her stay which was basically what the receptionist had said so i felt like they were being honest and not being "scripted." I'm glad that I chose Two Ponds for my Cassie (nicknamed Caserilla) . If she ever needs to be boarded again, I'll definitely pick Two Ponds... I'm even considering taking her for just daycare since it looked like she had so much fun. read more

I've taken my dog here twice and both times he seemed to really enjoy his time there(they have cameras so you get to watch your dog play). The only reason I didn't give five stars is the groomer. He was groomed one time and afterwards, he had clumps of hair that I spent a ton of time brushing out. This leads me to believe that either he was not bathed at all, or she didn't take the time to brush him after the bath. Usually after his baths, his undercoat is really thinned out. This time, I was left to do it even after I paid for this service. Otherwise, the pet spa is pretty high quality! I just won't pay for the groomer here again. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I trusted them with our dog's first away from home experience and I could not be more disappointed in how things went. I left my dog here for the weekend, I let them know this was her first time and they reassured me that they would give her extra love, instead she spent 48 hours locked up in a kennel. I signed her up for a trail walk on her first day and half a day of day care for the next day so she could socialize with other dogs, plus some personal cuddle time ( yes, you have to pay for that here). I dropped her off mid-day and called later to check on her, I got their vmail several times, I finally left a vmail at the end of the day. The next day, I was eager to see her on the cameras since I hadn't heard anything about how she did the day before. I didn't see her, I checked every half hour and didn't see my dog out there at all. I must have called about 15 times leaving several vmails to check on her because I wasn't seeing her where she was supposed to be. At this point, I have no idea what's happening with my dog or where she is at. I went to pick her up first thing Monday morning, when I brought this up at the front desk, first they told me that sometimes you can't see the dogs well on the cameras, I reassured them that I definitely did not see her. Finally, the lady that watched them during day care jumped in and said, she had not seen Stella out there. Looks like it was a misunderstanding and that she must not have gotten her assessment.... so she never got out. Then I inquired about the rest of the services I signed her up for and they brought up her file; her cuddle time also hadn't been signed off on either!!! But the tech that was standing by the front desk, said she had done her cuddle time, just forgot to sign the sheet. At this point, I don't know what to believe! Did she go on her walk? Did they feed her? What else did this place tell me they would do that they haven't. I understand misunderstanding happen but you're not getting a car wash... this is, to us at least, like a family member we are trusting you with. Needless to say I will never be coming back here again. I feel horrible to have picked this place and been misguided by their services, I really was under the impression that she would have a good weekend getting love from the caretakers and getting to play with the other dogs...who knows, what really goes on at this kennel. Also, the fact that you can't get ahold of someone on a Sunday in case of an emergency doesn't work for me. read more

Had a bad experience at this place. I boarded my dog for 3 days, and left very clear instructions on his feeding schedule. They fed him half of his food, and they apparently keep the dogs kenneled most of the day. It appears they are kenneled around 19.5 hours out of a 24 hour period. When I tried to give feedback to one of the "managers", she got very defensive and started rattling off the "policy" to me. I told her I was aware of the policy and she got argumentative, and then hung up on me. I spoke with one of the owners, who tried to tell me that sometimes dogs don't eat all their food due to anxiety (note that the "manager" had already admitted they made a mistake), and then told me they crate the dogs for long periods of time because too much play can be too much for the dog. Sorry but I'm not buying that. Other establishments provide much longer play time, and separate the dogs if they become anxious. The owner was nice enough, but sounds like they have excuses at the ready, instead of staffing properly, training properly, and taking accountability. Overall terrible experience, and would not recommend. read more

I don't have TONS of pet lodging experience but I know the staff here are knowledgeable with our pets. You can watch your fur babies on your phone from many areas of the facility while you are away. They have multiple activity options. All three of my dogs have different needs and have their own activities planned accordingly. Maddie is old and goes to daycare just for a few hours to socialize. Ox can run till his feet bleed and he party's with the other dogs all day. Murray gets overwhelmed when around too many dogs so he goes on walks throughout the day in the nature reserve behind the facility. So at any rate, there's something for everyone. I will continue to bring my animals back. read more

Horrible experience with this daycare. 8 days after my two French Bulldogs stayed there, they had full blown symptoms of kennel cough! (Aka Bordatella virus). Hacking cough, 105 dg fever, lung infection, shaking chills, I've never seen a dog so sick. I had to spend money on emergency room bills; I was so worried. I had taken a tour of the facility a couple weeks before and thought the number of animals was acceptable. However, when I went to drop them off it was so loud! My dogs were freaked out from the barking, howling and overall decibel level. The place is waaay overcrowded, unsanitary and under-staffed. The employees monitoring the dogs are on their cellphones and not focused on the animals. The individual walks I had paid for were not received. The Sunday they stayed I observed no care at all! I was checking online on the webcams all morning and day long. Every dog was just left in their kennels with no outdoor/indoor play. Isn't this what I paid for?!?! For you to let them run around and play while I am busy over the weekend!!! Especially on a Sunday!!! Totally ridiculous and a complete Zoo over there. A purely profit based daycare. read more

This was the second time boarding my dogs at Two Ponds and will not be back. I get that most businesses right now are short staffed but overall I was not pleased with this place. First off they only had one of my dogs vaccination records even though I emailed records for both dogs. The young lady at the desk sort of shrugged and said sometimes they get lost. Second, when I made the reservation about a week prior I had asked for a kennel with the camera. When we got there I asked which kennel they would be in and was told none were available. The next two mornings I pulled up their web cams before 7:am and there were ay least 6 kennels that were not occupied. Third, I brought the dogs blankets and the girl said they won't accept blankets in case they get lost. They have their own blankets they can use. They could have mentioned that at the time I made the reservation. But the worse thing was mid-day the next day I received a call and was told the dogs had run out of food even though I had brought enough for 4 meals. I was disturbed because I know the dogs were totally over fed. If I wasn't 450 miles away I would have dropped everything to come retrieve my dogs. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

For day care these guys are fine. One of my dogs LOVES it there and the other not so much, but their grooming is just awful. The come home with still dirty fur - they don't even smell clean. One of my dogs was washed there twice and came home with dirty ears both time. The third time we specifically mentioned, please wash his ears this time, and he still came home with dirty ears. It's not like they are hard to clean, they stand straight up and other groomers have never had a problem with cleaning them. We're looking for a new place for grooming. read more

We have a 4 year old Springer Spaniel, and we needed to find a place to board her for a 2 week vacation. After looking around the Denver/Foothills area, we were very impressed by the Two Ponds Pet Lodge. We were greeted by George, a very knowledgeable and passionate employee of the Lodge. He showed us the varying kennels, the play area for the different ages and sizes of dog, the grooming area, and walked us through a typical day. Normally the first thing you notice about a boarding kennel is the smell, but even for its size, it's kept very clean and smelling fresh. There are a few different boarding plans you can sign up for... there is simple boarding, to group play time, and individual play time depending on how you would like your dog looked after. All kennels are individual and each pet is catered to as an individual whether it be certain bedding and toys, exercise routine, feeding routine or medicines. As humans we don't get treated this well when we stay at hotels! All dogs go through a mandatory half-day assessment to make sure they are social with the other dogs and are monitored 100% of the time they are in a group. This is a free assessment, and even if your dog isn't suited to play with the group (because of age or temperament) they will still have the option to have individual play time in the yard with one of the dog behaviorists. The staff look professional too. Most kennels are family run, but this place has actual employees who actually have a passion to work with animals, rather than a father/son establishment where family members only work there because they're asked to by a parent. Other small touches like uniforms let you know that this is a professional establishment who can be trusted with your family friend. The group play area and selected kennels are fitted with webcams where you can see your dog playing or sleeping while you're away. All you have to do is look at some of the other kennels in the area, and you'll find that this is the best smelling, cleanest, flexible, and professional pet lodge ran by the most knowledgeable staff and you'll have no problem leaving your family friend with them for the afternoon or for the full length of your family vacation. I am extremely picky about groomers for my 3 dogs. We've had so many groomers cut the dogs then went through the whole trip to the vet, meds, cone of shame, etc. not to mention the hassle and time. Linda works at Two Ponds Pet Lodge and does Dog Grooming. She is the best dog groomer ever! My dogs love her. She always takes special care of them. Gives them the cut I requested and takes the necessary time to do it right. I have a Lhasa-poo and so many groomers want to do nothing but shave him. Linda always takes the time to give him a long haired styled look. Everybody always complements the dogs on the grooming. I highly, highly recommend you see Linda for grooming. read more

This place is conveniently located but I would drive 100 miles elsewhere before I would board my dog here. I visited one day, with my dog in tow, to get a tour of their facility. I was not greeted with a smile or even a hello but rather, "how old is your pit bull?" I kindly responded that she was 6yrs old. I was then taken on a short tour of the kennels only. When I asked about the play yards I was told my sweet girl was not allowed to be a part of "day camp" because of her breed. If she was under 1 year old, she would be allowed to play with the other dogs but since she is 6 years old, she's only allowed to be boarded and in her kennel at all times. Excuse me? I didn't know I had wandered into Denver or Aurora. The simple fact is Two Ponds would gladly take my money to board my dog, and take her for a 30min walk for an extra charge, but she would not be allowed near any other dogs during her stay. Extremely disappointed in this policy and will never bring my dog here or recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Since my pit bull can be a 65 pound pain in whatever is in her way at the time we decided to bring her to Two Ponds for Several days while we were out of town. I went in for info and the staff brought me straight back to see the different accommodations that were available. That lack of hesitation said to me they were confident, honest and had no doubts about how they housed the animals. I ended up getting her an indoor outdoor cabin suite that had a webcam looking over the inside room that i checked often (soundtracked by ridicule from my parents). Long story short when I picked her up i got back a happy and healthy dog who seemed to have enjoyed her temporary confinement instead of the schizoid battering ram I had expected to pick up. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly and free of pretense and you could tell they enjoyed the dogs and paid attention to them. I honestly cannot stress enough how personable and friendly the staff were. Its exceedingly rare in this day and age to have an experience free of assholes. The price was even reasonable. I will definitely bring my love monster back if needed in the future with unwavering confidence. Well done. read more

After having a successful oral surgery at Indian Tree, we decided to give Two Ponds a try. Our first visit was pleasant, not worthy of 5 stars (maybe 4/4.5) but overall we were pleased with our dogs grooming. There were a few complications with our second visit, I wrote a harsh review on Yelp and the owner was quick to respond and remedy the situation. We will be returning to Two Ponds since they are conveniently located, are not booked out weeks in advance & our dog left looking great. read more

I took my dogs for daycare at this facility. When I dropped them off, I was told they would need vaccinations to stay there for the day. I approved the vaccinations. I picked up my dogs at the end of the day and they had not received the vaccinations and no one knew anything about it. Also, my dogs (20 and 22 lbs) were put in a large dog group (90+ lbs, group of ten dogs) until I requested they be put in with others dogs their size. I would not take my dogs there again. I was not confident in their business practices. read more

This was my first experience with a doggie day care. I have a newly rescued, very energetic, somewhat anxious, one and a half year old Lab that hates being in a kennel. My purpose for daycare is so she can get some exercise and play on rainy days, and I don't have to stand outside with her. I dropped her off during the staff lunch hour (which was late-ish...1:15), so the dogs were in kennels. Not what I wanted, but very understandable. I asked how long she would be in a kennel and they assured me that it would not be more than 30-45 minutes. The staff member who took my dog when I dropped her off was rude. I was nervous and had some questions as it was the first time I had dropped her at day care. He clearly did not want to deal with questions and my dog was terrified. He yanked her away as I was still talking and yelled at me for "making it more difficult for her." I was a nervous wreck already, and was watching on the cameras. The dogs were still in kennels more than an hour later. I thought about picking my pup up then, but I wanted her to at least have a chance to play, so I waited, and watched, furious. Finally the dogs were let out to play at 2:25. I was told that camp is until 5:00. The dogs go in kennels at 5:00, but I can pick her up until 6:00. Again, I checked in on the cameras and at 4:00, they were putting the dogs back in kennels! I raced over to get my dog and asked if there were some special circumstances that day that the dogs had to be in kennels more than usual. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. She told me that a staff member (singular) had to go home sick. If being down one staff member pretty much shuts down the entire operation, I don't trust them with my dog. I picked up my dog and went straight to the dog park and stood there in the rain while she ran around and burned off all of the energy that she worked up from being in a kennel, terrified. The ONLY reason I am giving two stars is because I am grateful for the cameras. read more

I am new to the area, and needed a doggie day care. When I stopped by an announced, i was greated warmly and given a tour of the facility. I arranged to bring Max the next day for a free half day assessment. While Max was at Two Ponds for the assessment I was able to pull up the web cam to see how he was doing. After a success evaluation, I returned today to have Max spend the entire day. He ran all day long, and came home dog tired :-). He will be returning as I bought a 10 day because it was a better value. read more

My very sensitive, sweet and goofy lab charlie loves going to the pet lodge. He has so much fun playing with the staff and the other dogs. When I come to pick him up he looks at me confused and does not want to leave. Thanks Two Ponds it is a great feeling to know my "8 year old puppy" is well taken care of. Our dog goes here for both grooming and day care. She always comes home tired and happy after day care. If you drop them early they are kenneled until 8am when day care starts and again later in the afternoon for a nap. The grooming is great- if u tell them specifics they follow your instructions fully. Only negative is that they sometimes take longer than expected for grooming. read more

We took our dear Stella here last week and were surprised how happy she was when we picked her up! Not the case from other places. My only complaint is that her bed we took there was returned soaked in urine on the side and bottom. It makes me wonder why she wasn't let out in a timely fashion. It would have been nice for them to wash it for a nominal fee. I have been taking my dog here for day camp, overnight boarding and used the grooming services for over a year. The very first time I entered the building I was taken on a tour and was impressed at how friendly and knowledgeable the owner was, how clean the facility was and how the staff conducted themselves. My dog was due for his Bordetella his first visit. They administered it right in front of me and charged me less than my vet. I feel like the staff is knowledgeable and well trained. My dog is well taken care of and I feel very comfortable leaving him there. I love having a worry free place so close to home with such reasonable pricing that I can take my dog. We take our dog Bailey here almost every day. If we miss a day or two, she will start to jump around the car and make sounds when we pull in again, so she is clearly very happy to be there. The staff are very friendly, and put in the time to get to know the dogs well. Bailey always comes home tired and happy. We have left her to be boarded there a few times, and will be doing so again on an upcoming trip. The owner's are very caring and do ensure that all the dogs are vaccinated to protect the other dogs. They have a vet on call and we have had minor vaccinations and such done there, as it makes it easy. They also have on-site grooming, which can be very useful. Always comes back with a bow on her, smelling great. We love Two ponds and can only recommend it to everyone, as we did with our siblings and they board their dog there too now. read more

Two Ponds Pet a lodge I s AWESOME! My 8 month old Lab "Ames" absolutely loves going there... He knows what days he goes to a Doggy Daycamp and will wait at the door for me to bring him. The staff is caring and friendly. The facility is uber clean ALL THE TIME. We use them for both Doggie day Camp and for boarding and have had Zero concerns. It's easy to tell is the dogs are well treated when the run for the door and don't want to leave.... P they must be doing it right.. The demand for Doggie Day Camp is so great you have to reserve a few days in advance and walk ins are no longer accepted. Their concern is they have to staff appropriately..... None better IMHO.... read more
