The shop is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Hannibal's attractions, making it an easy stop while we were exploring the area. If you're spending the day visiting the Mark Twain sites or strolling through downtown, it's well worth adding this to your itinerary. The first thing that struck me was how beautiful the store is. It has an old-fashioned feel that fits perfectly with the historic character of Hannibal. The candy displays inside the shop are attractive. The shop is spotless, and the entire place has a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages you to slow down and browse the many selections in the cases and on top as well as a lot of the historic memorabilia along the walls. . Since this was our first visit, we weren't familiar with the different chocolates and specialty items they offered. Fortunately, the staff was outstanding. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely patient as they answered our questions and explained the different chocolates. As we were leaving, I noticed a tour group from one of the Mississippi River cruise ships arriving at the store. That immediately told me this was one of the places visitors to Hannibal make a point of experiencing, and after tasting the chocolates, I completely understood why. The chocolates were excellent,. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the products and the exceptional customer service we received. Overall, this was one of our favorite stops in Hannibal.
