They're right off the side of the highway located near the college, hospital and hotel. So that is convenient. They have a wide selection of coffees and ice cream which I'm assuming they are known for. The iced coffee is really good! I also ordered a chicken, tomato and mozzarella sandwich. Wasn't as appealing to look at but it is good for what's around here especially during the Covid-19 situation. Also it comes with a side of fruit which was super tasty and refreshing. Totally will be coming back next time I am around.

I've been…read morecoming to Mimi's for years and have always enjoyed it, which is why I felt it was important to bring this to light. I stopped in to get one of my favorite drinks and was greeted very politely. I even had a nice conversation with one of the young ladies working the register about the amazing-smelling candle they had burning inside. Everything was pleasant. When my drink was finished, I was handed my cup and noticed that it had leaked a little down the side. No big deal these things happen. I wiped it with a napkin, but the cup was still a little sticky. As the owner of a detailing business, I really didn't want to put a sticky cup into my vehicle's cup holder, so I politely asked another young lady if she had a wet rag that I could use to wipe it off. She said she could take care of it and walked over to the sink. While I was waiting behind the tea dispensers, I happened to look over to see what was taking a little while. I heard Lexi, the young lady who had taken my cup, quietly rudely talking to another employee about me and discussing the fact that I had asked for my cup to be wiped off. When I looked around the dispensers, we made eye contact, and the conversation continued. I honestly didn't appreciate being discussed while I was standing right there, especially over something as simple as asking for a sticky cup to be wiped down. I remained polite, took my drink, and when she asked if everything was fine now, I said yes and thanked her. I completely understand that these are young adults and that everyone has bad moments, but we're not in high school. Customers shouldn't feel like they're being talked about while they're standing right there. There was absolutely no reason for a simple request to turn into a conversation about me. I'm not writing this review to be rude or to attack anyone personally. I'm sharing it because I've been coming to Mimi's for years, and this one interaction unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth. I would rather bring something like this to the business's attention now, in hopes that it can be addressed, than have a similar situation happen with someone who may not be as understanding or polite about it. I still appreciate the business and the people who work there, but I do think this is something that should be addressed. Sometimes a small interaction can make a much bigger impression on a customer than you realize.

The restaurant sits at the corner, and it has 3 tables inside. During my visit, I was the only person who sat inside. Most customers were walk-ins and the took their orders to go. They have a walk-up window and a nice family stopped by as they took their dog for a walk. I would say the bulk of their menu consists of hot dogs and ice cream creations. With such a limited menu, I was still able to walk out a satisfied customer. Amanda was my pleasant server. I started off with a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Still hungry, I tried a chili cheese dog. OK, my appetite was still there, so the cheese nachos finished off my meal. So what about that $2 Slammer? Even though I was full, and even though I know when to say 'when', I ordered the Slammer - it's like a Blizzard at another restaurant. It was very good. Both the exterior and the interior were well kept and clean. The ample size restroom was equally clean and well-kept. I recommend!

They used to serve actual food but now they serve no more food than a gas station (hot dogs and nachos). The ice cream and shakes is pretty good. The quality of the ice cream is average at best but they are much too expensive for what they are. It is no longer a restaurant, it is a small room and should be considered more so an ice cream shop. It is a nice place to grab something cold to drink and eat in the summer. They are closed during winter, as is to be expected. Overall this is a nice place to get a small bite to eat.

The shop is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Hannibal's attractions, making it an easy stop while we were exploring the area. If you're spending the day visiting the Mark Twain sites or strolling through downtown, it's well worth adding this to your itinerary. The first thing that struck me was how beautiful the store is. It has an old-fashioned feel that fits perfectly with the historic character of Hannibal. The candy displays inside the shop are attractive. The shop is spotless, and the entire place has a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages you to slow down and browse the many selections in the cases and on top as well as a lot of the historic memorabilia along the walls. . Since this was our first visit, we weren't familiar with the different chocolates and specialty items they offered. Fortunately, the staff was outstanding. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely patient as they answered our questions and explained the different chocolates. As we were leaving, I noticed a tour group from one of the Mississippi River cruise ships arriving at the store. That immediately told me this was one of the places visitors to Hannibal make a point of experiencing, and after tasting the chocolates, I completely understood why. The chocolates were excellent,. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the products and the exceptional customer service we received. Overall, this was one of our favorite stops in Hannibal. Between the charming atmosphere, outstanding staff, delicious chocolates, and reasonable prices, Chocolaterie Stam is well worth a visit. I would certainly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a memorable treat while exploring this historic river town. Enjoy!
