The keepers. 2 Coho, 2 Chinook Salmon on Tyee Charters

One of the best times I've ever had out on a charter boat. Even if we didn't catch fish, this would have been a great day. Matt, the captain really knows his stuff and is an avid fisherman. He was almost just as excited as we were with each fish we caught. We went on the boat in the afternoon for about a 4 hour trip and caught 4 keeper salmon (2 Chinook and 2 Coho. One above 20lbs) and probably got another 4 or 5 salmon that were too short. Matt's fishing boat was nice. The inside was comfortable for when we were driving out and back. His fishing equipment was excellent as well. He had tackle and gear to cover all situations. When we started he quickly rigged up 4 rods all using different techniques to see which one would be the most effective. As the fish started hitting he would change the set up of the rods to the most effective technique and caught us more fish this way. After the trip he filleted up the fish for us nicely and bagged them up for us. We had a huge dinner later that night. Nothing is better than fresh salmon. I would highly recommend this charter. Even just being out on the Puget sound without fishing is a great experience. There were great views of downtown Seattle, we saw some dolphins and bald eagles as well. I am an avid fisherman and have fished my whole life and I have been on many charters in the past and this was by far one of the best experiences.

Can't say enough good things about Capt. Matt. My father in-law, nephew, and daughter, and I had a blast! Capt. Matt was very professional and explained to us everything about the fish that call the Puget Sound home. No matter what skill level you are, you will enjoy booking a trip with Tyee Charters. Whenever I make it back to Seattle, I will book another trip with him.

Awesome experience! Captain actually cares if you catch fish. Very informative. Super nice. Nice boat. Nothing to fancy but definitely better that the larger boats with large groups. Caught a big one first hour we were out!

I have fished with Matt for over a decade. While the summer months find him plying the waters of Puget Sound for salmon and crab, the winter finds him on the rivers in a drift boat pursuing huge Steelhead on the peninsula. Matt is an INCREDIBLE fisherman. I have been fishing my entire life and I always learn something new with this guy. I take a couple annual trips fishing trips with clients and they are always fighting over who get's to fish in Matts boat! Matt's knowledge of fishing culminates in a camera full of great pictures ,heavy coolers of fillets & crab and incredible experiences!

My daughter & son-in-law gave me a great Christmas present...a fishing charter outing with Tyee Charters. Being from Wisconsin, this was a new experience for me. Took the trip in late July with my son-in-law. What a great experience Matt, the Captain provided. We caught decent numbers of fish due to his experience. The fishing seemed a bit tough this day, however, when all was said and done, the boat was limited, with lots of bonus fun. Like watching the Orcas go on a feeding frenzy very close to us. Or trying to reel in fish before a seal took it away. Matt is very cognicent of the laws and clearly obeys and explains them. We returned many salmon to the water because they were native. He is also very experienced in knowing how and where to fish, and doesn't necessarily go where the crowd may be. Hats off to this charter for this great experience!

Here you directly accesses a put-in for recreational boats and kayaks. The long, flat, paved trail is waterside and goes from the (lower) parking area to the erstwhile army cabins of this U.S. military installation. It is a pleasant waterside walk, which is incredibly hard to find on Bainbridge Island as every inch of it is cordoned off with hostile "Private Beach" signage of the rich who believe they can fortress themselves away... I enjoyed this walk because it was one place on the island to have wide open views (otherwise you are claustrophobic covered in trees). Across the water is a spit of land in Bremerton (the residential part) and further to the western horizons are the Olympic mountains. Periodically the Seattle to Bremerton ferry (or reverse direction) plies the channel closer to the Bremerton side. Then the quiet water channel will see some surging mini-waves. I love watching the seals playing in the water. A remnant set of wood pilings in the water makes for a stunning perch for a gaggle of cormorants...aquatic fowl with elegant necks that are bendy like ballerinas. Bird watching here is superb. I've seen great ducks on the rocks at the sea-kelp and sea-lettuce strewn water's edge. Other than the barnacle rocks on the beach, the main trail of this park is ideal for those with limited mobility. The upper parking lot has a steep trail down to the water, and it is not recommended for people with mobility issues (nor on slippery wet and icy days). All in all one of the best water access points on this otherwise rather tightly locked-away island.

Easy fun trails, gave me some time to spend on the rocky beaches, listening to waves and taking in the relaxing smells of ocean salt water on the light breeze. A fun way to explore a little of the many hiking trails on the peninsula. Close enough to the ferry to hear the horns blowing during arrivals and departures. Exploring new adventures! Cheers!

I'm so glad I found No Worries and Captain Lorenzo. We really lucked out! Captain Lorenzo met us down in Port Orchard early in the morning. He was on time (or early, either way, he was there before us!) and had the boat ready to go when we arrived at the launch. He even met me at my car to help us unload our bags and show us the best parking spot. My parents and I brought snacks but No Worries Fishing Charters provided everything else - the license, the bait and tackle, even bottled drinking water. Captain Lorenzo and his first mate Noah helped us onto the boat and were patient as my mom climbed on with her bum knee. This small boat is ideal for 3-4 passengers plus two crew and a very personalized trip. This is not like some charters or party boats where there are hundreds of passengers. As we sailed out through Agate Pass, Captain Lorenzo pointed out some sites and explained what we were seeing. My parents loved getting a little tour of the area! Not to give away our super-secret fishing spot, but we ended up fishing near the Kingston area. Later, throughout the day we learned more about Captain as he kept us entertained and informed, telling us about how he grew up and spent his whole career on all different types of boats. My dad said that some fishing charter captains sit back and read a newspaper like "I got you here, you do the fishing." Not No Worries! Captain Lorenzo and Noah kept busy the whole time - reading the fish finder, checking the lines, cutting bait. They were working hard to make sure we had the best fishing experience. One cool thing is that you could definitely get as involved or take it easy however you want. For example, my dad had a lot of questions - what lure are you using, how does the downrigger work, what do you usually catch, how long have you been doing this... my mom was pretty happy to sit in the boat and wait for the Captain to say, "Looks like we got something! Do you want to come reel one in?" I thought it was awesome that Lorenzo and Noah catered to both - answering my dad's questions and matching his enthusiasm, and keeping my mom involved. We didn't catch a whole lot of keepers (I caught the biggest silver or coho, of course, not that it's a competition...) but we saw action all day and had a great day out on the water. Truly, the father-daughter bonding time is the highlight, right? Well, that and the salmon dinner. At the end of the fishing day, Captain cleaned and fileted our catch and bagged it for us, ready for our cooler and, later, our grill! It was nice that we didn't have to get our hands too dirty. Overall we had a great day and I would definitely recommend No Worries Fishing Charter to anyone looking to get on the water. My whole family was truly impressed! Thank you Captain Lorenzo for making our day so memorable!

My husband and I just completed a wonderful day of Lingcod fishing with 'No Worries Fishing…read moreCharters'. It wasn't a successful fishing day for any of the boats in our area (Blake Island) but it wasn't for a lack of trying. We did catch plenty of rock cod which I still found exciting. We have booked private charters before, and both my husband and I were very impressed with how organized and committed our guide was. I was not great at keeping from snagging my line on the bottom and losing lures, but there was always a back up rod prepared and ready for the water while my previous rod was having a new lure tied on to it. The boat was clean and well organized, and I was relieved to learn there is a private toilet area in the front. Our kind guide was generous with his time offering to continue fishing after our six hour session was up because he genuinely felt bad that the fish weren't biting today. We are grateful to have made contact with this charter and will give it another try when salmon season begins.
