Grisel, my stylist, was & is absolutely amazing! She was very thorough about what I wanted and the look I was trying to achieve, while offering advice and tips for future hair health. I had a terrible experience at this salon. I originally booked my highlight appointment for 3:00 PM and confirmed both the time and price over the phone. The day before my appointment, the salon notified me that they had changed my appointment time to 11:00 AM, which was inconvenient but I agreed to adjust. When I arrived, I was then told I'd be seeing a completely different stylist. To make things worse, the new stylist quoted me over $500 for highlights -- completely different from the price I was originally given when I booked. When I asked about the huge difference, I didn't get a clear explanation or any effort to make things right. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I decided to leave without having my hair done. There's no way I was going to pay that much for something that was quoted so differently over the phone. This whole experience felt very unprofessional and misleading. Summary: Miscommunication about curly cut expectations, but the color service was excellent. Do NOT book online if you're a new client, especially if you're looking for a curly cut. I tried booking online for a curly cut, color, and extension consultation, but I kept getting scheduled with different stylists, which seemed strange. To clear things up, I visited the salon in person, and the front desk agent confirmed that my appointment was good to go. A week before the appointment, I received a call saying the appointment wasn't fully set, and they suggested changes so I could have both the cut and color with the same stylist. I agreed, moving my appointment from noon to 10 a.m. to accommodate the change. On the day of the appointment, my extension consultation went great, and I had a very informative conversation. However, the confusion started right after that. The stylist who was supposed to cut my hair greeted me and offered me a drink, but while she was preparing my coffee, the salon decided to switch stylists on me. Another stylist came over and said she would be cutting and coloring my hair. I shared my color goals with her, but since she was working with another client at the same time, our conversation kept getting interrupted--something that seemed normal at this salon. She did, thankfully, understand my hair goals and started the coloring process. Then, another issue arose. She mentioned that she was still learning how to do a curly cut, which was what I had requested. After checking with the front desk, I was informed that for a proper curly cut, I needed to come in with my hair naturally dried, but since we had already started with the color, the curly cut couldn't be done. I had actually come in with my hair naturally dried for the cut, but due to all the confusion, my appointment wasn't honored. I decided against a regular cut and asked if the curly stylist could diffuse-dry my hair instead, but she declined. They offered to have me sit under a dryer, but I chose to leave with wet hair instead. Later, the owner called to apologize and asked if I'd be willing to give the salon another chance. I said I'd think about it and called back two weeks later when I was considering extensions. The owner again apologized and appreciated my willingness to return. She asked if I still needed a curly cut, but I had already gotten it done elsewhere. She did offer a free gloss with my next color service, but I wasn't interested in returning for another color in a few weeks. I asked if there could be any discount on extensions, but unfortunately, no adjustments could be made. I thanked the owner for her time and offer. The team was kind and apologized for the confusion, explaining that typically, new clients aren't allowed to book online for a curly cut, as these appointments require a call to discuss expectations. That wasn't my experience, though. Despite the miscommunication, the color service was done very well. Since I left the salon with wet hair, I couldn't tell how the color turned out until I got home and styled it. I wish the experience had gone differently because I really wanted to love this salon and return. read more

Damaged Hair saviors! Last time I had a haircut was at this same location almost 2 years ago... yes 2 years ago. After looking online for other places I said you know what I am going back to Tyler Presley salon. Made same day reservation online with one of the girls, Andrea. I explained the situation of my hair and it was like she was reading my mind with what I wanted. My hair was very damage, split ends everywhere and thinning at the bottom. She started cutting and suggesting what needed to be done and I was like yes go for it . She was very friendly and welcoming to conversation. Andrea is absolutely a master in cutting hair. After two dissatisfied years at another salon, I was told about Tyler Presley, and recommended to stylist Lisa. Lisa is a genius, and does it all. She knows how to give a great hair cut and blow out. For years, and I'm not exaggerating, I've been going from stylist to stylist and from salon to salon trying to get the "perfect blonde". It wasn't until I sat in Danielle's chair at Tyler Presley did that happen! She is not only a professional, but truly an artist. You call upon arrival, temperature is checked, hands are sanitized, etc. I always feel comfortable observing all of the efforts the staff contribute to make this a safe space. I was pleasantly surprised that the salon was open on Monday, and had an excellent experience today! My stylist had moved away and I had a mediocre cut and color at another salon. Andrea was wonderful! I had the worst experience at this salon!!! I did a balayage treatment with Danielle and she did not give me the proper services that I needed. I payed over 300 dollars and my hair came out looking fried and very dry. My hair was falling out when I brushed it after my treatment that same day and I was very traumatized. I came back to tip at the salon and one of the salon stylists told me I went for a very interesting look by dying my hair green. I actually went for a blueish gray color and that comment in itself was unnecessary and very offensive. I called the salon the next day demanding in redoing my hair because it actually came out a lot worse than what I originally had before.
