He is knowledgeable in his field since he is a Real Estate Broker, and has purchased and sold real estate investments himself. I like that I was dealing with an agent that actually owned property and worked his business full-time. I have used him twice for the sale and purchase of property in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino areas and I'm looking to following his advice on acquiring real estate investment properties as a strategy to retirement as he has shown me. After six months they could not lease the building so we put it up for sale. We asked for weekly reports, and in seven months only got two! We asked that both husband and wife be kept in the email communications, and continually the wife was excluded. The price was set below market value, and yet once an offer was made, suggestion was made that we come down even lower! The buyer accepted because we stood firm. Then we are informed that utilities had been turned off and they were unaware, indicating to us that they had not been in the building or had made much of an effort to show it. Once at the building we see the sale sign is one sided and erected parallel to a highway, rather than two sided and perpendicular which is usual and customary in the business. Not only would I not recommend this group; I would suggest putting up a sign for sale by owner before ever using them!

Doc spent about an hour with us later in the afternoon once we arrived into town. We sat down around the very large table that feels like you are sitting in his home around the dining room table. We casually discussed what we were looking for and he pulled a few properties for us to look over. We met the next day to tour the properties. We are looking at rural, remote properties that a realtor really needs and ATV to show. Mr. Deason didn't have that but did take us by 4x4 into the properties. Some were very tough to get in and out of but he was determined to show the property. We ended up using another realtor to purchase our property only because we found a property located outside of his area. But we will contact him if we decide to purchase residential investment or commercial property in Tyler. Genuine man, very personable and respectful. He has great suggestions on local eateries too!

If you read my reviews, you'll clearly see that I've been quite harsh towards several Realtors, but my latest real estate transaction was made much smoother, knowing a we had a true professional working for *us* and not just trying to sell anything out there. In fact, Judy and her husband, Kurt, sat my wife and me down, during our first showing, and gave us their opinions on which homes we chose to view should have better resale value down the road. It was clear that they were trying to help, and not just convince us to buy any house, in order to make a quick commission. As with any real estate transaction there can be snags along the way, and there were with this one as well, but Judy stayed calm, and handled the closing like the true professional she is.
