I…read morecould quite happily decorate my flat in just things from here while wearing clothes from here too. It's a slightly odd mix of furniture, jewelry, art and clothing but works. It's also a mix of vintage, modern and new. By comparison to similar shops in Edinburgh it's quite cheap and they have a very good January sale. The store is really small and packed full of stock so if you want something from the back it may take a while to move everything so you can buy it. If you see something that you want then buy it as it might not be there when you come back the next day. The owner is super friendly and will recommend other things in stock if something isn't quite right (or too big for the space you need a table for). For small gift and pretty things for presents it's also ideal. Sigh, someone just buy me it all ok?

The lady that runs it bakes the cakes and brings them in each morning and there is such a great selection of home bakes. The sour creme, blueberry and cinnamon cake is a dream- perfectly light sponge, scrummy fruit and a creamy sticky icing on top! They also have a wonderful chocolate brownie which comes with sour cream and raspberries. They also do great soup (which comes with a whopping great hunk of delicious soft bread) and have a selection of sandwiches. The tea room itself is in a sort of wee farmhouse with a lawn and tables out the front. It also has an adjoining gift shop filled with lots of cute home and gifty things, mason jars, note books, decorations, cards (that sorta thing). The staff are lovely and friendly and the price is reasonable. I totally love this little tearoom and have visited on a few occasions. I look forward to many more visits!

Even though it is touristy, it has an extensive selection of quality scarves and other wool/cashmere products. I purchased a scarf that cost something like £30 and i absolutely love it. The wool is great quality and warm but breathable and the perfect length. There is a wide range of tartan scarves at various price points. I contemplated visiting Johnstons of Elgin but their scarves are more than I'm willing to pay since I don't get to wear it more than a few times a year in Southern California. My little scarf has gone with me to the beautiful Highlands and goes with me on every trip to Scotland or colder climates now and I'm very happy with it. Service was efficient and polite as it tends to be there.
