My main gripe the rude service. Honestly this type of service isn't atypical in Germany, in my experience. When I walk into a German place, I try to speak German first. My German sucks, but I try. Usually it goes 3 ways: 1. They know I'm American, and they start speaking English. 2. They know I'm American, but still speak German to me. but they do it in a nice way. They speak slower and clearer. 3. They don't care. They speak German like how they would with any other German speaking person. So Turkitch falls in the #3 category, which is fine. But he looked impatient that I was in his store. I mispronounced something and he was like, "oh do you mean GEMÜSE?!" In a mocking tone. Of course, a pretty German lady comes in after me, and he's all nice, polite, and sing-song smiley to her. Ha. The place is small. There are a few seats inside and outside. I tried their Doner Guemüse hummus kabob. It was fine. It's a bit messy to eat. It was wrapped in a pita bread. The pita tasted good and fresh. Actually, everything tasted good and fresh. I would consider it a good doner. The food is about 4 stars and the service is about 2. So a 3 is a good score. Just don't be a non-German speaking Asian guy, and you'll be fine. read more

I stumbled upon this on a whim, ordered a kebab sandwich, and it was amazing. All ingredients were well balanced, and none of them overpowered each other. The meat was delicious, moist and tender, but the best part was the bread. It was unbelievably crispy, yet soft at the same time. We liked the falafel and kebab here the first few times we tried it. The hummus and mint make for a refreshing durum, even though I don't care for the deep fried vegetables with the falafel. The last two times that we've been in, however, the falafel has been nearly inedible. It has the texture and taste that usually goes with not changing the fry oil frequently enough and left us with stomach aches. This issue plus the inevitably lengthy and chaotic wait makes it hard for us to justify going back. In our experience, Munich's really impressive falafel can be found at Beirut Beirut and especially at Sababa in the Viktualien market. FWIW, people seem to really like the kofte dishes, which we have not tried. read more

I really can't believe I found Donor / Kebab this good in Munich. You really wouldn't expect it! Anyway, Turkitch is a little shop that serves some incredible food. When I went, the line was super long. Turkitch kept the line moving though, so I recommend waiting regardless of how long the line looks. I tried the turkey donor and it was amazing. the meat was very tender, the bread was good, and there was plenty of veggies inside. Also very inexpensive as well (around 7 euro). Go here. Despite this place being in the proximity of the main station, I found it clean. Despite the lunch time, the place was not crowded due to the service which is quite fast and precise on serving. I've got a Puten Gemüse Kebap (Turkey, vegetables Kebap), simply delicious. The meat is one of the best in Munich so far and I like the idea to use turkey instead of chicken. The bread is also not typical as per the shape (more like a big hot dog bread). The Kebap was well balanced between veggies, meat and bread quantity. The only improvement i see, i would play a little bit more with spices, to avoid some anonymous spots. Despite the overall good quality of the place, food and service, I have to give 3, if not 2 stars score, because of some arrogance of the cashier that we didn't appreciate. I still recommend to try this place for lunch if you're around. read more

Good turkey meat, in a baguette style bun, with some crisp veggies, parsley onions, topped with mint leaves!! Staff is friendly, and price is lower than most kebabs in town.. Very friendly staff and really nice food. I asked for recommendations and ate a kofte burger with cheese. It was phenomenal and surprisingly cheap. The chicken doner is also a good food to taste here. They have the strange drink called Spezi, it is popular in Germany but was strange to my taste (Coke+limonade mix with caffeine), tried it as a recommendation too. Small place with few seats but in term of decoration it's very different than other Kebap, I understand more why it's a pun between Turkish and Kitch now ;) The cheap ones are bigs and varied, with mint, carrots...
