My girlfriend and I have rented trucks four times from the Camino Casa Verde U-haul location. The…read morenumber one reason we continue to rent from them is customer service. The individuals who work there are extremely friendly and accommodating. There isn't anything that seems to be a bid deal to them. Every time my girlfriend and I think we may have a problem with something regarding the truck rental (reservation, pick-up, return, and or equipment) the answer is always, "No problem. Not a big deal. We'll take care of it." As I said, the people there, at least the ones we have dealt with, are very easy-going. Here are some other things that we have noticed from our experiences with the Camino Casa Verde U-haul location: 1. They seem to have plenty of equipment to rent if you need it, particularly a nice assortment of boxes. 2. They always have a nice selection of trucks and trailers when we are on-site. 3. You can pick up keys for your rental on a Friday afternoon and then pick up your rental on Saturday morning. They will park your rental out front of their facility for your convenience. Actually, they probably do that any day of the week. 4. Their projections on what trucks will be available at their facility for a potential rental at some point in the future have been accurate in our experience. I say this because if you have dealt with U-haul via their website, then you probably know that your reservation, particularly where you will pick-up your rental, seems to change each day as well as the availability of the equipment that you wish to rent. It can cause stress. In these instances, we simply called the Camino Casa Verde location and asked that our reservation be placed with them, contingent of course, upon the availability of the truck we wanted to rent. We have never been told that they wouldn't have what we need. 5. If you happen to return your rental when the facility is not open, then you will find that there is limited room to park the vehicle out in front of their facility. If you happen to return it during a busy weekend, then I can definitely anticipate that there wouldn't be a place to leave the rental. Having said that, we haven't had that happen to us. If it did happen to us, then I feel confident that we could simply take cellphone pictures of the crowded lot, email Camino Casa Verde via the U-haul app about our situation, and then return the rental the following morning. In that scenario, I would expect them tell us, "It's not an issue. Don't worry about it. You won't incur any additional charges." Of course, I don't know this for a fact; but based on my experience there, I would be shocked if they handled it differently.

They found us the best rates and easily accommodated an extension because the crated furniture from Mega Furniture wouldn't all fit in one trip. I tried using the U-haul national website but found it too cumbersome. This has been our third use of the Catalina U-haul and I'll use them again should the need arise.

They issued me a truck and the contract showed fuel at "F". When I got into the truck the needle of the gas gauge was a little below the F and I thought nothing of it. I drove the truck 20 miles and on the way back I refilled the tank with 2.1 gallons of gas, the gauge was showing the same reading as when I left. When I parked the truck the attendant was busy and told me he would email my receipt. I thought no problem, it was moving day and I was in a hurry. The emailed receipt showed a $13 charge for refueling--WTF?. So I stopped by and went to the sales counter to ask about it. The same guy who was nonchalant about it yesterday now claimed he goes strictly by what's shown on the contract paperwork, and the needle on the gauge wasn't at "F". He claimed that he had to put two gallons of gas in the truck (a total of four with the two I had already put in) to get the gauge to full. I called BS on this, he was trying to claim the truck only got 5 MPG which is nonsense, so we both went out to the truck to look at the gauge. It was still reading less than F and when I called him out, he tried to claim that he did me a favor because he could have put 2-3 more gallons in it! The guy is a liar and a petty thief.
