I've never been to such a U-Haul with customer service as this location, service members where unwilling to work with customers. Make remarks to me while I was looking at merchandise is the store. Said I must speak with her before I touch anything in the store. Very rude and disrespectful. I am soo glad I'm able to never come to this location again. Pulled in here for propane 40min before closing while traveling with the family. Lazy ass employee didn't want to fill the propane and said some BS line that they don't allow them to fill propane when getting dark. Meanwhile the propane fill center was wide open. read more

Went in to the store to pick up an online order of moving boxes and buy some others. Asked if they had file boxes in stock, and the manager actually laughed IN my face, before snapping that they "don't bother carrying them" because "no one buys them". I asked if she had any ideas where I could find some, and she laughed at me AGAIN. (She never answered. Just laughed.) My order was not ready, although they'd had a couple of days of notice. An associate ran around the store grabbing my items out of their limited on-the-floor inventory (what would have happened if someone had bought those items before I picked up my order?) He piled my order for me to carry out. After I paid, I had to bring the car up, and struggle alone to carry three loads of unwieldy items out to the car while the manager and three fit, young employees stood behind the counter chit-chatting and watching me struggle. No one ever offered to help. As to the moving truck, we were told they could make "no guarantees" that the truck we were reserving over a month in advance would be available. We've moved over 20 times in my life, and this is the first time any truck rental agency has made such an absurd claim. We went elsewhere to get the truck. If the manager's goal is to cure people from doing business with U-Haul again, it worked here! read more

Went to purchase a trailer hitch receiver and the sole employee decided to talk on her PERSONAL CELLPHONE while helping a customer. As we were all in line she just kept talking. The line grew and grew but this lousy employee an older woman kept on talking. All the while she thought she was multitasking. Ha! She was failing. We left our stuff where we stood and walked out. Do everyone a favor and fire her. She is t doing g anything for your business. read more

Poor customer service, badmouthing fellow employees in front of customers (using foul language I may add) and bad attitudes can be expected from employees that work inside the building at the counter. The gentleman at equipment drop off was polite, can't say the same for anyone else here. And make sure you take a picture of the odometer before you leave, they said I put two more miles on than I did. It's like $5, so certainly not going to change my day, but it's the point.... Awfully rude owner, yelled at me over phone and hung up on me over the return of the truck I was using, I had it rented out over the whole day but she took a reservation for the last day I had the truck. She even threatened me with a late fee even though I had several hours left on my rental. I came into the store and she was annoyed with me and snapped with me. Storage units are ok for what they are, but unfortunately the corporate policy is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. I put a high security padlock on my unit. Like this padlock is designed where the door itself is more likely to be broken before the lock is. They kept telling me I couldn't and instead keep trying to tell me a disk lock. They give me silly answers like "oh it's safer. Their disk locks are low quality pieces of crap. It's vulnerable to picking attacks, sawing attacks, and just about every other low skill attack you can imagine. I even tried putting their disk lock and my pad lock on at the same time. But NOOOO! It's less secure because the thing isn't round. The person who came up with it knows fuck all about real security. These people literally told me to downgrade the security because of this dumbass policy. Keep in mind my unit has no gate and literally anyone from the street can walk up to it. I will not reuse this place nor will I ever recommend someone this place. What a joke this supposed security is. I've had many units before and this is the worst. read more

I had a front tow hitch receiver installed on the front of my truck so I could mount a winch in a cradle. They did an OUTSTANDING job. They install hitches regularly, so these guys are really good. Absolutely professional work. On a separate note, they also refill propane. I took a couple tanks there because Lowe's was out of propane. To my surprise, I paid several dollars less per tank than getting refills from Lowe's! Finally, I just rented an enclosed trailer for a local move over 3 days, and their service was outstanding. I reserved the trailer over the phone and was on hold for 20 minutes, which was a little inconvenient, but once they got to me, their service was 5-stars. I think this is a family owned place, and their service is great. read more

These guys were great a professional fun friendly funny. It was easy breezy to return my equipment to their location in a stressful situation of moving from another state and not knowing the area they made me feel right at home. Steve was at the desk he was wonderful he made me smile and I was feeling pretty grouchy haha unfortunately I can't remember the name of the gentleman that helped me on the lot but he was also outstanding helping me unload my trailer and vehicle and returning my truck in a timely manner thank you guys you're the best!! read more

Terrible service. They have one guy helping with vehicle reservations and he's slow as molasses. If you want to buy boxes there, forget it. Go to Home Depot or Lowes...they are cheaper! Expect a 1 hour wait while the cashier fumbles through his reservations. And of course, there's always a customer who doesnt know what they want or isnt happy with uHaul not having the truck they want, so they are also creating a problem. You'd think a manager or someone else would come out to help with the line, but nope...they're not there to help...only take your money like everyone else. We are a touring musical act, and had driven quite the lengthy journey. Tired and weathered by our journey we pulled up to the Uhaul center, looking to get our trailer possibly replaced, as the door has been damaged the past week of the tour. Roadside assistance was not a help and neither was the previous centers we had visited. The rude piglike subhuman creature running the store did nothing to help aside from making comments and fighting every step of the way to not help, who was apparently the owner, did not own anything but a sourpus attitude. Deflated, we headed back to our van.... BUT that is when the hero of the month emerged from his cavern-like garage, with a visage of Arnold Schwarzenegger from the movie commando he was dripping testosterone and had gigantic muscles!!! The heavenly glow from behind him when he emerge from his cavern-like garage blinded me and my bandmates and we were in awe with giant smiles on our faces he proceeded to come over check the damage on the trailer door and use his giant muscles and his hammer tool to bang onto the damaged wheel track of the door. We could just tell from the vibe from the hero of the month "Sam" frequently pipes with consent from very attractive women all over the town and city! Truly a peak specimen of the male species he is unmatched with his dominance and skill. Uhaul storage is considered very lucky and privileged to have an employee of his stature skill and handsomeness. Thank you again Sam! And Stay safe brother! We also hooked Sam up with a piece of merchandise which he graciously took and will now own proudly!! 5 million stars for Sam!!! Give this hero a raise. read more

Horrible horrible service. Beware your reservation means nothing. We called and also booked online then we're called at 7 pm the night before our move to tell us our truck was not available. They said they had one later in the night but ten minutes later when we called back their system was having issues. Now we sit here in moving day searching for a truck and our only option at this point is to head to Spokane and pay triple for a truck we are mostly paying for miles on. The people that work there are incompetent and even A-Z rentals said they have heard these issues from customers multiple times. This is why we love small business here because your time and reservation means nothing to the uhaul corporation at least at this location. nothing like making moving more stressful than it needs to be. read more

I reserved a truck for a 24 hour rental on line. When I went in to pick it up at 7 in the morning, my son mentioned he thought we could be back by 3 pm. The manager said we better get it back by 3 pm or we would have to pay an extra day rental fee because he had it booked for another customer at that time. I found the manager to be extremely arbitrary and capricious. I had to telephone the owner to get assurance I could have it at least until 6 pm without extra charges. The owner was much more professional than the general manager! I will never rent there again! read more

Rented a 6 x 12 trailer. Went to return it pulled in at 5:01. We were in the returned Trailer return spot after for after hours the two employees were helping another customer. I was having problems getting on the app so I walked up there to return it have them help me and they told me to call the one 800 number and walked off as So rude! Also they did not mention the $20 extra fee for returning after hours when we rented the trailer. Absolutely terrible service! read more

Rented a truck for a few hours for a local move and the process was pretty painless. Made reservation on-line. Went to pick up the truck the morning of the reservation. Everything was as expected based on the reservation except for an undisclosed "environmental" fee of $1. I asked about the junk fee and was told it was to pay for cleaners and such. I wish U-Haul would be upfront and just add an extra dollar to the price of the rental rather than trying to hide it from customers. Other than the junk fee, the rental performed as expected. read more

U-Box, systemic troubles This is a busy, thriving store, and my only dealings involved U-Box rental for a cross-country move. The entire procedure had flaws from the moment we checked on the online reservation we had made months before, through receiving boxes with viable serial numbers, through receiving accurate paperwork, through being informed accurately when the boxes had shipped. Our reservation was unknown to the store, once they could serve us they loaded and unloaded multiple empty boxes because of serial number glitches, they gave us paperwork for only one of our two boxes, and they three times assured us the boxes had been shipped . . . on three different dates. I'm not certain another store would get this done better, but worth researching. read more

I have used this U-Haul location to install a tow hitch, to rent a trailer and twice for one-way truck rentals. The equipment is new(er), clean and well maintained. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and efficient. They have always had the equipment I needed, when I needed it. I'd give it 5 stars if incoming phone calls were handled more promptly. read more

Worst place I have ever had to deal with. I have been trying to get a hitch installed that I bought and paid for in April. I had an appt for yesterday morning. They called and changed it to yesterday at 4:30. I had to cancel all of my morning appts and drive to the u-haul (45 minutes each way) and wait two hours to have it installed because they changed the time. When I got there THEY DID NOT HAVE THE HITCH!!!!! I asked for a refund and they would not do it, and said they would call me today. They never called. I am out almost $300 and no hitch. I would not trust them to put it on if they volunteered to do it for free. read more

Very Underhanded! The U-Haul at 750 W Appleway attempted to SCAM me out of $100+ dollars! They said the only truck they had available for my 4 hour use had to be rented as a "one-way" taking their basic charge (before all their tag-on fees) from $29.95 to $139.95! I said NO WAY!! They said they would check to see if any other U-Haul had an available truck...a few minutes later they said no...there were no other trucks available! I said NO WAY!! I drove to another U-Haul 5 minutes away and got a 24 hr rental on a 20' truck for $39.95! Due to proximity, I have used the Appleway location several times in the past...repeatedly having to deal with horrible customer service (always slow, always rude)...but I will never, ever use them again! The service I received at the 6792 N Government Way location was prompt, friendly, helpful and best of all, honest! read more

These people do not know what they are doing! The call center sends them messages if they're unavailable and they do not respond. I called them four days in a row and nothing happened finally after trying to reach them so many times I finally went to the store. I wanted them to install a brake on my car for a trailer. They said they could do it and to be back in 2 hours. When I came back 2 hours later they hadn't done anything! The mechanic said he didn't know what he was supposed to do. I then called the car dealership because I already had some pre-wiring. The serviceman asked if there was a button or something they were supposed to push for a break. Really? The car dealership told them what they were supposed to do so then they proceeded to look to see if they had the parts. Then they said I would have to pay for the shipping of the parts and then it would be at least a week before I could get the work done. The girl at the desk was extremely rude and they wanted to charge me the same amount even though they hadn't done their wiring. She was going to charge me 4 4 hours of Labor when the serviceman told me that it would only take a half hour. I wouldn't go there if it was the last place on Earth to get a trailer brake to be installed. They don't know what they're doing read more
