I signed up for a promotional deal where I used their moving truck so I was supposed to get a unit at a good price. When I arrived they said they didn't have ANY of the promotional units available, how convenient. I had just moved from out of state so what was I supposed to do? I had enough already going on to deal with finding another storage place. I think they know that and intentionally lure you in with the promise of a cheap unit. They got me to sign up for this indoor unit. It's crazy expensive. I could just move to a larger house and save on the pain of only being able to access my stuff during the hours they're open. I think I pay a little over $150 a month for this place and it just keeps going up every couple months. I also just noticed there's water dripping into my unit from the fire sprinklers. read more

Don't use their online reservation feature!!!!! I reserved a 10x10 storage unit online a week before my moving date. But there I was at the Wall Ave location on moving day with my movers waiting, to find out they didn't have a 10x10 unit available. I had to go to their Clearfield location to get the size I needed, which cost me more money monthly and more in moving charges. read more

I had a reservation made over the phone to have a hitch installed for a long distance move scheduled for this weekend. I arrived yesterday and the general manager Sierra Kennedy, could not have been more rude. In the most unprofessional manner you can imagine she informed me my reservation had been canceled and that she left me a message a few hours earlier. When I ask why, she said they were fully booked and they didn't have time to work on my vehicle. Mind you I made the appointment at 8 AM the day before. There would have been plenty of opportunity to have called me yesterday or to have found me another option. My issue isn't so much that the location was unable to install the hitch, I understand that sometimes situations happen and customers have to be rescheduled. People don't show up for work, people get sick etc. the issues is that she made no effort to apologize or explain why my reservation was cancelled. She was completely unwilling to help resolve the issue. Instead she rudely said I called you and implied it was my fault for coming in for my appointment. At this point I asked to speak with her manager and rather than provide their name she said "it's on the door". I attempted to call the owner and of course he didn't answer or return my call. I don't know why I expected anything better, a person who hires such socially incompetent general manager probably wouldn't have the skills to solve this problem anyway. I recommend everyone avoid location. The customer service is horrible, the employees are rude and non responsive and have no interest in performing their job well. These people need a serious training course on how to be nice and how to accommodate Scheduling problems created by their organization. read more

I made a reservation online and was quoted $627 or something close to that. After driving 500+ miles to pick up the vehicle, they wanted to charge me 1597 for the truck and another $300 or so for a trailer. I explained that I had been quoted $627 for truck and $200? for trailer. My email wouldn't allow me to open up the order # that they sent me. I had already driven more than 500 miles and I was on a time constraint. I went ahead with the newly quoted price and was advised I could call customer service to explain the situation. They did absolutely nothing to help me. I will be renting a trailer today and I will not be using U-haul ever again. read more

The u-haul rental had so much damage it took us 26 minutes to record everything. Yet they would not give us that time back on the contract. Clerk Micheal West was no help. He just pawned us off on is to call the 1 800 number. I feel like they're just trying to nickel and dime me. There were so many stickers on this rental we reached the max uploads. The manager could care less as well. We found 21 damaged marks on the truck that were not recorded in their system, which means if the renter does not catch all of them then they could claim the renter caused the damage and have to pay for the existing damage. SCAM! Shame on you U-Haul for this terrible, unethical business behavior. Advice, go else where. Penske may be a better option. read more

This place looks big and shiny from the road but when you get inside, the wait is going to put you well behind your scheduled day. Picking up anything in the morning you are going to be deep at the counter and understanding that renting something like a vehicle takes time, they need a faster process or more people at the counter. Even with reservations you are going to be spending too much time here. read more

They lie about the sizes of the trucks. If you pay for a 20 foot truck you will have roughly 16 feet of usable space. They will insist it is 20 feet. Very strange. read more

The woman at the front desk was very unprofessional and treated us like total garbage. We were simply renting a trailer and she was totally snarky and rude. She didn't care about our business at all either, repeatedly yelling at us to go to a different store if we didn't like the attitude she was having "in my own store". There were no other places in Ogden with trailers. She bullied me into the $8 insurance despite the fact I verified with my insurance it would be covered in case of accident, theft, damage, etc. Everyone else was amazing, professional and quick, the equipment was good, the store was very clean, but the manager or whatever she was was terrible. She works in customer service and she should know what is appropriate behavior at work, and take more pride in how she treats "her" customers at "her" store. She couldn't stay calm and courteous even though no one was being mean to her or disrespecting her. I won't ever use this place again on the off chance I might have to deal with her. And just think, she's the one who would handle any issues that arise? No thanks. read more

I have a trailer stored here and that has been perfect. Today I needed​ propane and waited in a line 8 people deep for assistance at the counter. The girl working was abrupt and not customer service oriented. The man who helped with the propane was outstanding. Based on the counter girl's bad attitude, I have it three stars overall read more

I'm a college student who is from out of state, I had to move out of my house in Ogden ASAP and go back to my parents house for a few months due to an emergency. Prior to moving my stuff into the unit there was a mattress left from whoever had the unit before me. At the time I didn't really have the time to go back into U-Haul and let them know that they gave me a unit that had something in it (you would think the employees would check them prior to letting people moving there stuff in) as I said before I was in a time crunch and trying to move out as soon and quick as I could. I moved my stuff in and was meaning to call when I had the time to let them know but spaced it. Fast forward a few months, I moved my things out of the unit into my new place but left the mattress as it was there before I moved in and didn't feel that it was my responsibility to take care of because they left it in there to begin with. I went inside to confirm moving out so I could also let them know about the mattress. They were very rude about it and told me they would call the manager to see how he wanted to handle it and told me I should have told them in advance that it was left. The manager calls me a few hours later and is also very rude and asked me my side of the story? I don't know why he asked for my "story" because it was simple, there was something left in my unit that I don't feel is my problem. He told me that it's a $150 cleaning fee because they're the ones who have to dispose of it and told me that I should've told them sooner and not have moved my stuff in the unit. Basically I feel they should do their jobs and make sure units are ready to be moved into when giving people the unit, I understand I should have let them know when I was moving in but due to the circumstances I couldn't. The guy on the phone was a douche and pretty much blamed me for their mistake. Both times I went in they were rude and the manager apparently is an asshole too. 10/10 don't recommend because they'll leave nasty mattresses in your unit and then blame you for it:) read more

No, no, NO!!!!! Stay clear if possible. Last summer I would've given them 2-3 stars. We have used multiple trailers for moving, utility trailers for yard supplies, etc, and this location was the only place we used. Uhauls in general seem to under-staff their locations so it's normal to get there and have to wait 30-60 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time to get your trailer, but I can handle that. I know what to expect and I can be patient. Well now, I would give them 0 stars if I could. My dad recommended us to get our hitch put on here. He had gone through this location for a few different vehicles. The last time they had hooked up his wiring incorrectly, but he noticed it and they fixed it. Well we went and got ours hooked up and didn't realize that the wiring was hooked up incorrectly on ours too! We generally use our hitch for bike racks, not trailers. My vehicle kept telling me that the battery was low and it had to go into power save mode and we couldn't figure it out! Then we hooked up my dad's trailer one day and realized that the lights were ALWAYS on for the trailer. It didn't matter what we did! It was constantly running power. Needless to say, our battery is completely ruined on our car and Uhaul couldn't care less. We thought that after making the mistake once, they wouldn't let it happen again. But apparently Uhaul thinks they can do things incorrectly, treat customers poorly, understaff their locations, and just get away with it since they are cheap and convenient. Sadly, they might be right, but I will definitely do what I can to find a better company for all things trailer and hitch in the future. I really can't say enough bad things about this place. I'm shocked and appalled at how many times I've watched their employees argue with each other, make excuses for themselves (seriously, somebody has to own up to a mistake once in awhile!), and the lack of professionalism. Also, I would not recommend booking things online or using the Uhaul call center. I don't know how many times I got to the location and they've said they didn't have something because the online service booked it out, or they called me to let me know my apt time wouldn't work. Be prepared to wait. My last 3 visits, whether to close my storage unit account or rent a truck, have left me waiting in line an average of 30 minutes before i even get to the service counter. Their transactions take forever and they usually only have 1 or 2 staff members working while a line of 5-8 people wait begrudgingly. read more

I needed a trailer hitch installed on my vehicle. I scheduled it a few weeks in advance but after talking with a representative (I believe her name is Kat), and being treated so poorly, I had a bad feeling about it. I called nearly every day several times each day for a week and a half and the location only picked up a few times. (I was calling to ensure the parts would get there in time) A family member of mine eventually had to step in and assist me in taking care of it. I was told twice that a technician would call me back and never received a phone call. My appointment was changed to a week later without any notification. I eventually had to buy the parts elsewhere but still set up an appointment to have those parts installed at this uhaul location. When I arrived at the agreed upon time, the same woman I had spoken with previously had cancelled my appointment suggesting it was at an earlier time though it was not. She also proceeded to blame my father and I suggesting our incompetence was the reason there was an error. She was degrading and no effort was made to communicate with me once. She was incredibly rude and I was crying by the time I left. So unprofessional for no reason. read more

Dirty business dealings wanted my husband to drive all the way to Logan to pick up their supposedly lost truck and refused to reimburse for mileage. Then when he tried to speak to the woman she HUNG UP on him. Now we are hurriedly looking for another truck tental. Truly dirty dealing. I recently rented a U haul from this store as I have before. They usually tell you that they have to run your card for authorization purposes and it will not debit your account. The man at the desk said that once I returned the truck and miles were assessed I'd be refunded the difference. After getting home I noticed the $75 was actually taken out of my account not as a pending charge. I immediately called their customer service to get this resolved. They stated they would have a manager call me from the store. I did receive a call back but the girl I spoke with Sierra was less than helpful. She told me there was nothing she could do and I would now have to resolve this issue with my bank. I explained that it was not my bank that caused the error. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said there was not one I asked to speak with a manager, she again said they do not have one. She said sorry nothing I can do for you at this point. Needless to say I will not be renting again from U haul. Their staff is unfriendly and does not exude excellent customer service. read more
