The store I chose was the most expensive but I was willing to pay because they were giving me an appointment quickly... so i thought. (7 days later). Big mistake. They cancelled a few hours before the appointment leaving a msg on my phone box. Said they didn't have the cabling. Had to call them again and again a few days later. Finally got someone on the phone. They said they would order the part and call me back in a few days. They never did so I had to call back again. It went on and on and on like that for a whole month. At some point they left a message to let me know they had received the part. They just couldn't giving another appointment. Every time they said they would call me back to give me an appointment: they never did. One day I called 7 times and just couldn't talk to anyone. If they answer; they put you on hold and never ever take the phone back. Don't waste your time waiting: if they don't pick up right away they will never. I went there and saw the staff do just that to someone who called as I was there waiting in line. At that point all I wanted was to cancel the whole thing. They pretended they couldn't do anything because they needed the manager password to access the computer system. They suggested I should come back some other day. Ridiculous biz. Understaff. Obviously badly run business. They absolutely don't care about their customers. Tried to call a few times again without any success, sent emails. No reply, no answer. Tried to call the 1-800 number because I thought the main office would take things in hands... same result. You can't reach them. I had to take this to my credit card issuer to get a refund. Never, ever will I do business with any uhaul concession. I ordered a better hitch from the internet including cabling which they pretend was sooooo hard to find and "backorder". Both were delivered and in my hands within 3 days. Called "Attaches Montreal in St-Leonard", they gave me and appointment right there and the hitch was installed on my car 2 hours later. Great and polite service. Don't waste your time with uhaul.

Very expensive rentals compared to competitors, dishonest employees who scam you on fuel…read more I got a rental here because it was close to my place and I figured it would be convenient even if they charged more. What a mistake! I drove a total of 12km with this van (econoline style panel van), I had to put in 6L of fuel (it was supposed to come with a full tank, I didn't idle it, I dread to think their clunker guzzles half a liter per Km) and then the guy at the counter has the gall to charge me an extra $20 for fuel because he says I didn't fill it up. Upon showing him the bill from the gas station he tries bullsh**ting me some crap about diesel "foaming like beer when you fill it too fast" which he claims left the tank partially empty when the foam settled? Hahahahhahah!!! For the record, I use to be a long haul trucker: I filled diesel tanks almost daily, typically about 800L worth. I KNOW WHAT FILLING DIESEL IS. (And if you aren't in the know, no, it does not "foam like beer" -- you can get a thin layer of foam on the surface which dissipates immediately when you stop filling. So don't fall for this scam) Also, even if he did fill that much either he gave me a trunk with a partially empty tank, or his truck gets less than 1km to the liter. After a lot of arguing I paid the $20 because it wasn't worth the aggravation but I swore to never rent from them again, and have now decided I should warn others. Honestly, I have no idea how this sh*thole shop has remained in business for this long. AVOID AT ALL COST!

We know it's last minute but Joey the owner was able to solve our problem. Such a relief! What a fantastic guy! We were totally distraught because we had rented somewhere else using their on-line app and got confirmation for both the truck and the payment. When we got there, we continued with the app to add driver's info etc (as the app indicated) but once there were told it doesn't work that way. During that time someone else was renting our truck. They no longer had a truck for us and all my people were waiting to start the move. What were we going to do?! The Delvan owner, Joey, said he would do all he could to get us a truck which he did. He's an extraordinary person, there should be more people like him serving customers. I highly recommend them and they are now our *go-to* for rentals. Thanks again Joey!! Suzanne
