This is the third time we've used U-Pack for moving. These were very long distance moves clear across the country with everything we owned... It all went perfectly. The truck delivered the 28 ft trailer on time, we filled to the brim and called to have it picked up and there were right there the next day. It took almost two weeks to get our stuff delivered.. perfect. The guys that dropped of and picked up couldn't have been nicer. Price was good too. We have used other movers and we got scammed.. I would never ever use anyone else but Upack. We also used one of their Cubes to move one of our kids and that was also a perfect move. You can't go wrong with this company. read more

I have used U-Pack on more than one move across the country and as of today I can say that they have gone down hill thanks to JESSE out of the main office in Arkansas. I had moved across the country back in April and had the Lawrenceville, GA office hold my cube ever since. I was told to call the main line to get them to adjust my full monthly rate because my bill due date is tomorrow October 6th and I'm having my cube delivered this Friday, October 8th. JESSE refused to help me after I have been informed that they normally due this. So now I'm paying my full 30 day fee for a few days. BEWARE of speaking with this kid and using this company. They obviously could use losing customers!!!!! read more

My girlfriend & I just moved from Massachusetts to Seattle through U-Pack and we were told that it would take 6-8 business days for our cube to arrive in Seattle. After a 12-day road trip across the country, we called for our cube to be dropped off at our new apartment. We were told that the company literally had NO idea where our cube was. This was Friday, and OF COURSE, they're not open on weekends. We called them on Monday and they still didn't know where it was. We called them on Tuesday and they still didn't know where it was. Finally, later that day, a woman from the company called us and told us the cube had been sitting in Dayton, OH since the first day of its shipment. (Just to make things worse, we drove to Dayton the first day of our road trip.) We were told that the cube wouldn't arrive until the next Monday, 21 days after it had been originally picked up, a full 14 business days from when it was supposed to arrive. Not only did we not have furniture in our new apartment for 2 weeks (including our bed--at least our floors are comfortable to sleep on), we didn't have anything to cook with, so we were forced to buy things out of pocket which we had already packed in the cube, and the woman told us that we would not be compensated for those out of pocket expenses. Nor would we be compensated for the extra storage we purchased because we thought the cube would beat us by a whole week, which it clearly did not, and we clearly had no use for. We also lost our moving help because we had friends in the area the day we planned to move in on. We were told that they would not be offerring us complementary moving help. They offered us less than 25% of what we paid for the move, which was well over $2000, not even enough to cover HALF of a month's rent. All in all, I have felt 0% satisfaction from this company even though they boast a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If you DO plan on moving with this company, I sincerely hope you choose U-Pack Guaranteed which we were told would have given us a full refund, however, we weren't even offered this feature to begin with. Our experience with U-Pack was very good. The customer service reps were very helpful and even when they said I would need to call in to request a drop-off or pick-up, reps always called me first. The Relocube: I am the planning type, so I measured all of our furniture (king sized bed with tall iron frame, large dresser, large chest of drawers and 2 nightstands) beforehand. According to their measurements posted online, our furniture would fit. When the pod arrived, I thought "there's no way!" and prepared to throw out tons of our stuff which would be a huge (and expensive) bummer... However, I was pleasantly surprised when it all fit perfectly AND we were able to fit ALL of our boxes, plus more than we ever thought possible! The competition: I considered UHaul/Budget moving trucks, but moving 1800 miles with a huge truck and trailer seemed very stressful, even though the price was a bit less. I also considered UHaul's UBoxes, which are made of wood and a canvas covering as opposed to U-Pack's full metal Relocubes.... TIP!!!!! TIP!!!!!! Here's how we saved $400 just by getting a quote for UHaul's UBoxes and mentioning it to the sales rep at U-Pack. My quote from U-Pack was around $2200 (with the 3 day shipping guarantee added), but my quote from UHaul UBoxes was around $1750. I mentioned this to the rep and told her I was on the fence about who to choose (although UBoxes has no guarantee delivery and can take up to 9 days). She asked me to hold and came back with a quote of $1800 total for the guaranteed delivery and everything. I completely recommend calling into their business and seeing what types of discounts you can come up with, as opposed to reserving your Relocube online! The delivery: We actually planned to leave on our trip a day before the Relocube was picked up, which made us nervous about leaving all of our belongings at our old apartment. However, U-pack actually picked up the cube a day early! AND they arrived in California before we did! You are able to track your shipment online which is nice. The Relocube was delivered and hardly anything had shifted. We couldn't believe it! After unpacking, there was only 1 dish broken out of all of our boxes (which could have totally been due to packing incorrectly!). Packing: PLEASE PLEASE follow their tips and tricks online. You want these things packed absolutely as tightly as possible. We used ratchet straps to secure our mattress, and furniture. We wrapped all of our wood furniture in towels, then wrapped that multiple times in heavy duty saran wrap (bought it from Amazon in a huge roll). We also bubble wrapped everything like crazy. Don't skimp on packing correctly out of laziness or time constraints. We packed ours literally to the top, which is what they suggest. All in all, our experience was amazing. I know that is not the case with everyone, but I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone moving - especially cross country moves! Thanks U-Pack! read more

U-Pack helped us to schedule a new deliver time with the dispatcher when we were unable to find a compromise with the dispatcher. It was easy to load and shipment came as expected time and without much shifting. The only short coming was that they did not pick up the empty truck on the schedule date causing it to be parked on my driveway over the weekend. But overall, I am glad we use them for a long distance move. read more

Utilized ABF / U-pack Moving services again for our recent 2015 move from Dallas, TX to SoCal and it was just excellent, excellent, excellent Customer Service again from start to finish both from Arkansas and Fontana, CA office. Original posting 04/18/2011, was posted for wrong U-pack location. This review is for ABF / U-pack Arkansas and Fontana, CA Used their service for NJ to SoCal move in the dead of winter 2010. We needed only 1 cube for a 1 bedroom apt. It's a little pricey but f.y.i. ABF does price match & if you're as meticulous as I am &, if you want a stress, headache free move, then you gotta go with ABF U-pack. All you have to do is pack your belongings & make sure every box is properly labelled & numbered with a list to match the content of each box in the cube. Buy 2 tarps from Home Depot, 1 for the cube flooring & the other to cover & protect the entire load. The day you're ready to load the cube, rent a dolly for $7or $10/day from U-haul & get a couple of help from guys waiting around for a job at your neighborhood Home Depot parking lot $10-$15/hr. Pack tight & secure your load with a nylon rope (from hardware store). Schedule your cube drop off & pick-up during the off-peak days of the week for great savings (refer to ABF's calendar on their website). Excellent customer service from start to finish - on time drop-off, pick-up, delivery. Visit ABF's website, they offer a lot of great moving tips & videos. Note: Request for a newer air tight, water proof cube, the older ones may not be, so I was told. We didn't have a problem with our cube. read more

Recently used ABT/Upack to move from Belgrade, Mt. to Benton Ar. The customer service was great, they dropped the trailer off when I asked them and they delivered it when I requested. When we finished unloading they responded the same afternoon and picked up the trailer. I would recommend them to everyone who is moving, they stored the trailer while we looked for a place eliminating the need to unload and reload when moving in they were friendly and extremely helpful. read more

I have to give U-Pack 4 stars because 1. nobody's perfect and 2. I had a minor billing issue. My wife and I moved from Syracuse, NY to Gainesville, GA. We elected to rent a trailer rather than Re-lo-cubes. Originally we were to be charged only for an estimated 17' of trailer space but we soon found out that we required the entire 28' of space. The trailer was dropped off September 7 and we hired helpers to load the 28' trailer on September 8. The trailer was picked up September 9. Because we were going to be storing our trailer for two and a half months, we were informed that storage charges would be $595 per 30 days of storage. I was charged a full three months for storage rather than a partial charge for the half month of storage. The trailer was delivered December 3 and we hired helpers to unloaded the trailer on December 4 which was completed by 1 PM. I was told to call ABF an hour before the trailer was emptied, which I did. We were told they would send someone out for trailer pickup but we had to continually call ABF to have them pick up the trailer that afternoon. It was finally picked up by 5:30 PM. All in all, the service was great, the drivers were very friendly and helpful, and it beat the price quoted by a national moving company by about $3000. I would recommend U-Pack for anyone willing to pack and load their treasures and wanting to save some money on their move. read more
