Had I been told how things should have been handled correctly, none of what I'm going through would have transpired. The bank manager even signed off on the issue at hand and to be transparent I feel as if maybe that's why I'm being treated as a criminal. A simple mistake transpired and I do not owe this bank a dime and yet they put me in a system where I can't open another bank account. They have the power to undo this so I could at least go elsewhere and all they are doing is reading policies and procedures instead of really taking the situation at hand under the microscope. Going in more than once and pleading with the upper management, I was so distraught considering the fact that what happened was a direct result of the back office's instruction. Not to mention this whole time, I was in the process of burying my 10 year old son, and whether or not they wanted to bank with me or not, the fact that they would place me on such a restraint of not being able to open anywhere just dumbfounds me. I literally can't go to any bank, whether it be an online branch or a physical walk in branch. No online bank, nothing! They put me on a system that no institution no matter the entity will even consider giving me an account. All they had to do was remove me from said system to at least part ways but give me a chance to bank somewhere else. They kept going back and forth blaming policies and procedures. This credit union is known for its intimacy. Isn't this what a union is for?!?! I had no bad history nor did anything that transpire seem fishy our whole relationship though short lived. My husband has been an account holder with Premier America Credit Union since he was 8 years old,…read moreso our family has a very long history with this institution. Unfortunately, I am shocked and extremely disappointed by how they have handled a serious issue that is now damaging his personal credit. His mortgage is directly with Premier America Credit Union--not with a third-party company. After he spoke with the credit union, they acknowledged that there had been a problem with their online system and told him they would work with the department handling his mortgage to resolve the issue. However, nothing has been corrected, and the late payment is still negatively affecting his credit report. He called Premier America again because the issue remained unresolved, but they refused to take meaningful action. They would not even transfer him to a manager or someone with the authority to properly address the situation. Their lack of concern, accountability, and customer service has been terrible. The issue was caused in part by a confusing and unreliable online banking system that did not clearly show that his mortgage payment was past due. Premier America acknowledged that there was a system problem, yet they are still unwilling to help correct the damage it caused. I am truly shocked that a longtime customer could be treated this way. This is affecting my husband's personal credit, and the credit union does not seem concerned about the consequences. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with Premier America Credit Union. Their online system is misleading, their communication is poor, and their customer service has been extremely disappointing.
