Very disappointed. Their site shows they have Cronus but when I asked they told me they don't sell them. Also very expensive. I paid $47 for 2 dozen regular... not fancy donuts. I saw the price was about $23 a dozen for regular donuts. Outrageous. I was on my way to an event and they happening to be on the way. Had I known I would have back tracked and gone to one i usually go to that is way less expensive and the donuts are much better... and they actually do have cronuts. Their housemade "cronut" is a new item that reminds me of an apple fritter without the apples. You know that glazed crusty part off the fritter you pick off, yes that taste experience is similar to this "cronut". I have no idea why this place has 5 stars. I walked in and the employee was sitting at the customer tables chatting with her friend. It took her a bit to get up and walk around the counter to help myself and another customer in there. It's really dirty on the inside. I couldn't bring myself to set my purse on the counter. It seems like they don't even take the time to wipe down the tables. The worst part is at the cash register counter, there were about four pieces of broken hair just chillin. I wanted to projectile vomit. This place needs a serious renovation. I lived on the hills right in front of this shopping center (facing south) for about 16 years before I moved to another local area. So I used to go to this donut shop quite often because back then this was the only eatery in this location (there wasn't a Jack in the Crack or Subsgalore). Anyways, they haven't renovated this place since the first day I stepped foot in there. I am 25 years old now. No renovation in that amount of time??? What the heck!? Their prices are so dumb. I bought a bottle of the Starbucks iced vanilla frappucino and it was $3.50 with an additional debit fee of .50. I didn't pay the debit fee because I walked over to BOFA and pulled out cash. But $3.50 for that drink is over priced. Pay an extra 50 cents and get yourself a real Starbucks. The plain croissants were $1.75. That is over priced for a donut shop croissant. There were hardly any donuts or any type of pasteries left at the time I was there. Granted I did go around noon but they are a donut shop, it's their job to supply DONUTS! I'm used to getting up early. I was hungry, all my stuff is in boxes,I remembered the doughnut shop across the street. I decided I could grab some coffee have a doughnut write a couple letters, then do my grocerie shopping and go home to start unpacking boxes. I'm enjoying myself, my coffee and doughnut while I write my letter. The place is empty. Maybe because the prices. My coffee and one doughnut cost me 8 bucks! The time I was there only two customers came in it could also be due to the unfriendly atmosphere. I hadn't finished my coffee and doughnut which yes I was eating slowly because I was also writing my son a letter. "Don" at one point says "you have been here long enough" I'm shocked because this is a really nice area. I would expect the businesses to be more friendly to paying customers. It's not like he had ANY other customers. I was quiet, respectful, and was the only customer. They won't be getting my business, I'll spend my money at Jack in the Box before I drop a penny here again. At circle k you can become a "sip and save " member for 6.99 every month. You then use your phone number and can get any size coffee or fountain drink free every day for 30 days. Well for the price of the membership anyways. They also have doughnuts and muffins that are evliveted fresh early every morning which are just as good and don't break the bank. The lady that runs the business with her husband, is extremely friendly and you can tell that the quality of food and labor that goes into such a small mom and pop shop, really pays off.
