It was built in 1938 out of a Hires (remember that brand?!?) root beer barrel and has stood the test of time. It's been refurbished a couple of times-once in the early 90s and in 2007. It's located just off Route 30 and you can't miss it. A little creamer pot sits next to it as well. Here's an interesting fact: Though it's named as the world's largest teapot, there's actually one a little bigger in Navasota, Texas. Sounds like I've got another roadtrip in my future!

The main span of the bridge is 745 though the entire bridge is 3400 feet across. The bridge was completed in 1977 and there is no toll to cross it. From the West Virginia side, you can maybe get a good view of the bridge from the neighborhood just to the north though note the various docks and patios are private property.
