I have used this post office numerous times during the past two decades for sending out packages for Christmas, to mailing out taxes, letters and other packages. It's one of those experiences like going to the DMV. I've mailed my daughter's dorm key that she left behind that same day and it took so long to get there, she actually paid for a new key. Don't know whether it was from this side or that end. In November, I went to the Post Office to mail out a bunch of cards that seemed pretty heavy and a card to Germany. I wasn't sure if it needed extra postage and decided to find out by going there. He weighed each one and even commented how this one was lighter than the rest. And because he noticed I was missing the ZIP code for one card (since the address given to me lacked it too) I had googled the city and discovered two possible zip code but the gentleman said he could identify it with their system. So very grateful. Paid the costs and let him take them. Was happy finally getting them to proper place. Imagine my surprise when I open our mailbox and found the one card that weighed less then the others. Now to find 15 cents worth of stamps. Not pleased with that. And the package to Germany that was sent Priority did not arrive in time for the wedding 2.5 weeks later. . . So, if you absolutely need something sent to a location on time, this may not be the place to go. Not sure if it's the USPS itself or what. But regardless, it's pretty amazing for $11-28 a package can get someplace in the world eventually. Worst customer service from the person in charge for the passports!!!! She was rude to me, to my kids... wasted time even if I arrive at 2:50 when other office was very kind and did 2 passport services for us. I come again today and she kept being rude and no manners at all to say the least The other guy who took my mail ... was kind and nice so it's not the office but the lady! The Keith B Oglesby USPS station on Orchard Park Drive is horrible. In Greenville County, I've been in the N Pleasantburg station near Home Depot, Taylors, Greer, Simpsonville, Lauren's Rd and Washington St. The KBO Station on Orchard Park is the only one that makes you feel like you've walked into the DMV. When you attempt to call the other Stations directly, they actually answer their phone, KBO station just rings... when you go IN the station to talk to the Postmaster or any manager about an issue, they demand proof because their employees are perfect, if you are in their service area, then you've probably experienced at least one of the following things I'm about to mention, and probably on multiple occasions... of course if you try to call USPS customer service, they have a Hold Time close to 2 hours. 1. Packages left in view of everyone (front of the porch instead of at the door because they didn't wanna walk the extra couple steps). 2. Throwing packages on the porch, garage, up the driveway for whatever reason... rain, steep driveway, lazy. 3. Marking package delivered (video evidence proving otherwise), or delivering package to obviously incorrect address. 4. Marking package as delivered at Porch but delivered behind wheel of car in garage or driveway. 5. Similar to previous, instead of putting package that didn't fit in mailbox on the porch, putting it UNDER or ON TOP of the mailbox in the rain! There are other incidents that have happened on our route. They have all been brought to the managers attention, we have cameras on our porch and Garage, which catch the mailbox and driveway. So when something happens, we take the evidence in and confront the manager and he tells us first that his drivers are professional and do not do things like that. When we show them the video, he calls us liars. There's a reason that people do not like the post office. I personal make it a point to send and if possible receive packages from UPS. The least favorite of all Post Office locations I've ever visited. Haven't been back since a particularly negative experience back in 2013. Inexcusable. Waited in line for 20 minutes to be RUDELY told they don't accept passport applications without a specific appointment (yes my application was filled out exactly correctly, picture correct and appropriately stapled to application, brought all the necessary proof of I.D. and associated copies). When I referred two governmental websites that indicated they did (the federal passport acceptance facility website AND THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE WEBSITE), I was met with the snarky retort "yeah well they're wrong." I indicated that perhaps it would be prudent to correct these aforementioned websites to prevent everyday Joe America from waiting such lengths of time only to be turned away by a rude employee with clearly larger troubles than a citizen with a point, at which point my "attitude" was unappreciated. It escalated, and needless to say, I would rather have my naughty bits shoved in a meat grinder than ever have to enter through the threshold of that hole again. read more
