You know when you see those sweet geeky gadgets online and your like "man, I wish I knew a place that sold these!", well look no further, this is it! Uber Cool Stuff has everything from board games, to cool toys, to art, to kitchen wares. I really like to come here when I'm stuck for a gift and want to get someone something really cool and unique. I've purchased salt and pepper fooseball players, a bbq skewer that has the handle of a sword, and pot holders that look like records. The owner of this store is very active on twitter which is really nice when you need to ask about anything. The store is also attached to a vintage clothing store which has some pretty cool stuff. I do find Uber Cool Stuff to be a bit expensive. However, I haven't compared their prices to stores online (plus shipping costs) so it may end up being on par. Either way, if you are looking for a spot to find some cool stuff for a friend or you want to get something fun for your house, go here, you wont be disappointed. read more

Uber cool is basically decribed by their name! I can't get over how much stuff I want to buy each time we've been in. Their selection for different brands is quite large, including my personal favourite, pusheen! They have a great selection of board games at reasonable prices, and the staff and knowledgeable on what they are selling. The owner is so nice and very personable. I love going here! read more

Uber Cool Stuff has exactly that: Uber Cool Stuff! From art prints, nerdy gadgets to the crème for me which is the board games section. Chris does a great job of stocking a wide range of newer titles and classics despite not having the space to really carry all too much at once. He also has given some great opinions and recommendations that has made my collection grow without me even trying... Hang on a second! That's pretty sneaky.. I'm on to you... Every time I move to a new place I try to find 'my store'....you know...the kind of cool, local gift shop that you always end up browsing when you're in the area even if you aren't looking for anything specific. Über is that kind of place for me in London! Über occupies half of a shop shared with Jackpot Vintage. You can access it through the vintage store off Dundas or come in it's cute storefront on the less-populated Carling St. The store specializes in 'geek' wares, boardgames, designer toys, and cool home goods. They've got fun posters, every kind of strange nerdy kitchen gadget you could ever want (nose-shaped pepper mill? Ninja-men cookie cutters? They have it!), and fun knick-knacks for your office or home. They've even got a rack of funny socks. read more

I won't make this long as it doesn't need to be. They probably deserve a 4 star, but I realistically can't give it because I don't frequent here enough and purchase from here enough. They are a small shop that sells unique pieces of glassware, socks, kitchenware, houseware, NickNacks that are cool for gifts or yourself, usually relating to video games or quirky things. The staff are always exceedingly helpful and polite. The Selection is always great and unique. --- Overall --- It is one of the first places I go to when looking for a gift for friends as they have unique things. Worth a shot. read more

I really cannot say enough about Über Cool Stuff. I have been going for years and honestly both amazed and unpleasantly surprised that I hadn't already written a review for it. This place is quite simply a paradise for geeks. A geek boutique if you will - they are London's local & independent source of the best board games, collectible toys, geeky gifts, art and more. I work nearby and go through often as their inventory is constantly changing and evolving. They might have to most extensive collection of board games in the city but also a lot of other stuff you might not expect: socks, kitchen stuff and amazing local art. They host a monthly board games night, which fits perfectly with what they generally do and are active and involved in the local community. Almost without exception, whenever I am faced with getting someone a gift - regardless of the occasion - I often think of this place first and what could I get there. Really unique merchandise and fantastic customer service! I think that's enough - this truly the kind of place that must be experienced in person. Cannot recommend it enough - love to support both innovative and local businesses - and this place checks off both boxes! read more

This is the place to go for that which cannot be found in the average mall. You're sure to find the different and unique. The only danger is that you'll want twice as many things for yourself! If you are still mourning Commander Salamander (as I am) then a visit here should soothe the sting. You can enter from Dundas or from Carling. Inside you'll find toys, accessories (like socks), greeting cards and fun jewellery (like the watermelon lapel pin that the Birthday Fairy brought!). Nice staff, reasonable prices. read more

As a boardgamer, I had to stop and check out this place. Excellent stock of boardgames. The owner was very knowledgeable about games and the geek universe. He gave thoughtful advice about alternate games I could purchase for my 12-year old daughter. This is an great resource for boardgamers in London. If you're a gamer, definitely stop buy and get a game or two. read more
