I am very pissed off and annoyed with this experience with this specific driver ! I made a request waited the 10+ Minutes in the cold rain- I see the driver based on his license plates though a PHOTO- COLOR OF the car was missing. He looks at me and points forward. UP A CURVING HILL- I follow him then he cancels the trip. Unacceptable- unprofessional and not a standard UBER should stand behind. No call- no text. I was left to find my way to town 30 min walking on windy roads. This could have been avoided by your driver having the decency to keep the ride since I waited!!!!! I have never had this happen to me. It's humiliating and has caused me so much stress. A taxi ride back home was $45 USD!!! There is another ride share option in this country but I choose to support Uber. Not sure why. read more

We though that Uber Pets would allow us to travel around Lisboa with our dog. Not so. We tried to request Uber Pets from LX Factory, but multiple drivers kept canceling. When a driver finally arrived he yelled "ARE YOU BLIND?!" And when we said "no" he refused to take our dog. He said we'd have to put our dog in a carrier, which made no sense since he had a small compact car. We have a well trained, friendly, non-aggressive, clean golden retriever. We had to walk miles home in 30+ C degree heat. So Uber Pets is a fictitious service that doesn't really exist. We thought we could live without a car, but now we plan to buy one. read more

Perfecto. Needing to be at the airport at stupid o'clock before the Metro starts running, I was extremely pleased with my Uber experience and rated the driver five stars. No hunting around for a taxi, no worry about whether or not they're going to show up. No worry about "getting taken for a ride" or having to explain destinations when I speak no Portuguese. We used Uber a lot! It is so convenient. The drivers were uniformly professional, with clean cars. It made it so convenient to get around. The app worked great. It's worth having an international phone plan to use the Uber app. Huge help! Most drivers had booster seats, not all. I brought the Mifold and it worked GREAT. Highly recommend getting it if you use taxis or Uber and need a booster seat. read more

Loved it! Lisbon isn't the easiest place to walk around. It's all about the pretty narrow cobble stone uphill down hill streets. You will need to take the metro. Some are in good areas. Some are not. And if you come in January, forget about walking that much. It is cold! I took the train twice in my one week here. The rest of the time, I just took uber! Taxi's are not that cheap ( more expensive than uber) and really, not that nice. I've rode in a brand new Audi 7 series to a pretty bmws and such. Everything was nice. It definitely came in handy on the windy, rainy days in Lisboa too! And I happened to stay in the highest part of the town in Graca! You can't walk up there! At least not in my high heels anyway. The drivers are all so friendly and nice. The best part? Every trip I took in the city cost me 8 euros each.Well minus the one to the airport. Down the street? 8 euros! Down 30 blocks? 8 euros! Down the hill? 8 euros! I really don't mind that after a long day of walking! I must have took at least 10- 12 trips with uber. All were fine, fast and dandy. And it just launched in Lisbon 3 months ago! People are still curious about it. Not as big of a demand like in the states or other cities. Either way, I love uber! Just call them ahead! After getting overcharged by a taxi driver from the airport, I decided to use Uber exclusively. My hotel was a couple of miles from the city center and since there were three of us, Uber was more cost effective and easier than the metro. In all, we used Uber 5/6 times and was quite pleased each time. The waits were short and the cost less than a standard taxi. Almost all the drivers spoke English, the cars were clean and given my experience with the taxi, it was a pleasure knowing the fare before getting into the car. read more
