I went to the UBreakiFix location in Pineville,NC to get my phone repaired as it was having major issues with freezing & ads continually popping up. CJ was the Tech who advised me on the phone that he could fix these issues with no problem. He was Absolutely correct! He diagnosed the issues & had both of the issues fixed in about 15 minutes. He also advised me on ways that I could avoid having these issues again. He also didn't charge me much. In the event that me,my family or friends have an issue with our devices again then there's only one place that I'm taking them to & that's UBreakiFix to have CJ repair them! By far the worse retail customer service experience ever! I should've took it as a sign when I walked in and there was another customer complaining about the service she'd received! But I said no someone else's experience won't be mine. I was WRONG! Upon coming in and having my device looked at, they diagnosed the issue said what was wrong and stated the course of action would be to send it to Asurion and they would be replacing it. A week passes and Asurion still doesn't have my device and it's still showing at the Pineville location, we make it to week 3 and still Asurion doesn't have my device. I call the store and they first tell me Asurion has it, I said that's impossible because they're saying you all have it. After them further looking for it they then tell me it is at the location and will be sent out the next day. I inquire why and they tell me where I should I brought it in the were backed up working previous orders that had come in before my device and had finally gotten around to inspecting the device and came to it needed to be sent to Asurion. I responded stating that's odd because when I came in and sat for over an hour you all told me you'd inspected it and stated then it needed to go to Asurion. They ship the device to Asurion another 1-2 weeks later still no device. They told me it's been shipped and was with Asurion, of course Asurion said no according to the device tracking g they both utilize it's still showing in Pineville. I asked the store for the tracking number and they refused stating it was against FCC law. Needless to say they continued to lie about the everything not knowing that I wrote everything as they told me every lie. I'm certain they stole or lost my device and refused to admit it. Asurion ended up replacing my device and Asurion opened a case against them for the incident and that was the last I heard of it. BEWARE I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! read more

On August 27, we brought in our son's iPad to have its cracked screen replaced. The device was fairly new, fully charged, and turned off when we arrived at the store. Other than the cracked screen, it was in excellent working condition. We did not hear back after dropping it off, so I called at the end of the week. At that time, we were informed that the part was still being ordered and would take at least five days to arrive. However, just a few hours after this conversation, we were notified that the iPad was ready for pickup, which was confusing since we were initially told it would take longer. When we picked up the iPad, we noticed it was dead and had a message stating it was locked for one hour. We took it home and tried to charge it, but it wouldn't charge at all. We returned back to the store the same day, where we were told that the top of the screen was cracked, and that this was the reason it wasn't working. The staff claimed that we were responsible for this new crack, which is not the case. My husband handled the iPad carefully and it was never dropped or mishandled. My son never touched it because it wasn't working/dead! This situation has left us extremely frustrated. The iPad was fully charged and working before we brought it in, and now it's not charging at all and has an additional crack. We feel that the new damage and the charging issue occurred during the repair process, yet we are being blamed for it. To make matters worse, the issue has not been resolved, and we are now left with a non-functional iPad and additional repair costs. This place cannot be trusted! read more

I took my iPhone 13 Pro Max to this store because I had a crack in one of the camera lens. When the guy looked at my phone, he said that he would have to order the part to fix it and that it would cost $199. I told him that there was no way I was going to pay $199. It's s good thing I didn't. I left this place of business and went to another phone repair store. They looked at my phone and said that the plastic protective cover over my camera lens was cracked. He removed the cover and the camera was perfect. I hadn't realize that there was a protective cover over the lens, but a fix it person at ubreakIfix by Asurion store should have known. Not only were they not proficient in what they do, they were not friendly and there was no one to greet me when I first walked in. This business needs new employees who are well trained. read more

I left my phone there and they told me they had the parts for my phone, and then they said 3 days later that the microphone broke and they had to order the mic, even though I'm pretty sure it wasn't broken when I gave it. I called and another employee said that the battery was never ordered and they didn't even start fixing it. It's been 2 weeks since I gave it and I'm probably just gonna take it somewhere else because the workers all have different stories about when my phone battery is going to be replaced. read more

I have a Samsung Flip Z3 phone. Human error in creating this phone was not taking into account that every time you close it, the plastic face cover slowly buckles. Took it in and the repair was made w/o me having to send it back to the factory. T-Mobile did absolutely nothing but answer "gee we have been seeing a lot of that problem, but we don't know how to fix it. Gave me Samsung's direct line and they referred me to this shop. Definitely understaffed so don't go there in a hurry. The repair tech smoothed out my phone screen cover within the hour and showed me how to fix it if it happened again. I want to give them 5 stars but not being the most patient person and the place being short staffed, can't do it. But the service was excellent! read more

Made an appointment to have my iPad screen replaced for 1:00 today. When I got to the store there were two people waiting outside. One of them told me he had been waiting for 20 minutes. The other one was on the phone so I didn't ask. There was a sign on the door saying only one person in the office at a time. I waited 15 minutes and most of the time nobody was in the shop. Finally a guy cam out of the back and had a long conversation with the customer in the shop, completely ignoring the customers standing outside even though he was now over a half hour late for my appointment. Since I had a flu shot appointment at 3:00 I left. I think $250 or more to replace a broken screen is a bit steep. I decided to bite the bullet and get a new one. Costs a lot more, but my old one was 5 years old. I had planned to give it to my granddaughter anyway and Amazon has refurbished iPads for not much more. read more

Wasted my time completely. I was sent here by my provider Google Fi because they are partnered with Google Fi to fix Google phones. I was told by the UbreakiFix representative that the ball park estimate would be $100 (more than I was expecting to pay for an unexpected repair) but that they would give me a Free Diagnostics to determine the real problem and the real accurate price because it could very possibly end up being cheaper than that. Also, I was told that if I found a better price that UbreakiFix would match it and beat it by $5. I found someone locally here that offered to do the job for $60 (plus their ratings are 4.9 out of 91 reviews not 4.5 out of 76 reviews like UbreakiFix) but it would take a few days to get the parts in. I went back to UbreakiFix to ask them to give me a free diagnostic as guaranteed, and also match the price and beat the price by $5 as they guaranteed me they would do, and to complete it in 2 hours that same day, as I was told they would do and as they guarantee. Not only did they NOT give me a diagnostic but they also did NOT match/beat the price and they told me that the cut off to receive phones for the day was at 3 PM after I got there at about 3:20 PM because I was told just 2hrs prior that the cut off was at 4 PM. I even stood outside for about 5 minutes as I waited for the one customer in the lobby to finish as their sign on the door specified ("only one customer in the lobby at a time"). They did not even take my phone to diagnosis the problem. They never looked at it one bit. They never looked at it one time. It NEVER left my hand or the lobby! Yet instill they automatically told me that the price was going to be off gate $99.99 + tax regardless because "the labor is so extensive." Mind you, they never even looked at my phone! I never saw or heard from one technician! I only spoke to the front desk receptionist/assistant/phone call receiver. When I told them that I had a better price for them to match, they told "well we have to have an email." I said, I understand and that I don't have an email but you can call them yourself and talk to them to confirm what I am saying-- they denied that and just proceeded to tell me again that regardless of the guaranteed free diagnostic (that I never got) and price match and beat (that I never got), it was going to be $99.99 + tax. The issue could be the charging port as I originally suspected or it could be the battery as I was told by my new repair guy. He, my new repair guy, also said that batteries for Google Pixels are so fairly and reasonably priced that he wouldn't even charge me for it. He would just order and install. So imagine if I had went to UbreakiFix and the issue was just the inexpensive battery? They still would have charged me over $100 without checking the real issue with a diagnostic and I am certain that they would not have even let me know that the issue was just a simple inexpensive battery after they had started work. This is robbery and thievery. I will never use this business. Robbing, thieving scumbags. read more

Be careful at this place. Morals seem to be very lacking. I was having display issues (black screen) with my PS4. I tried the 2 different HDMI cables I had and neither of them worked, so I assumed it was the HDMi port on the PS4 as this part seems to go bad on a lot of the consoles. After dropping my PS4 off for a diagnostic, they called me and said the display issue was because of a corrupted hard drive, mostly due to age. I was skeptical because hard drive issues are not typically related to display issues. They offered to replace my hard drive for $130, which was more expensive than the $99 HDMI port replacement that I thought it was going to be. I foolishly agreed to the hard drive replacement and picked up my PS4 the next afternoon. When I turned the it on, I still had the same black screen even after trying both HDMI cables. I figured the odds were slim that I had 2 bad cables, so I found a 3rd cable in the living room and it gave the PS4 a new life. The display connection was perfect. I called the store and told them I just had 2 bad cables, but they proceeded to lie and say that they were having the display issues when they tested it at their shop. Clearly it was just a cable issue, so I went back and asked them to put my old hard drive back in and test it, and what do you know? It just so happened to work for them this time! I didn't say too much about it to any of the workers because I'm too nice, but I was furious. Thankfully they gave me a refund after putting my old hard drive back in, but this store has completely lost my trust and respect. Just remember it may be worth trying a 3rd cable before you make a visit to these crooks. read more

At&T directed me to Samsung who in turn sent me to this location to fix an issue the Galaxy Flip has been having with the screen bubbling at the fold. They apologized that it has been an issue with the flip phones and assured me it is covered under the warranty and I would not be charged for repair. When I first called ubreakifix (Charlotte Galleria Blvd), they told me they would charge me to fix it. Then after I spoke with the Samsung rep again and called ubreakifix back, they told me to bring it in and said they would fix it free of charge "as long as this was the first time" - whatever that means and the guy was reluctant and rude. Then, AFTER I drove 20 minutes to get there they doubled down on insisting on a charge. First the employee tried to tell me it wasn't covered under the warranty - only the screen, not the screen protector. Then he took my case off and pointed to minor wear and tear scratches on the outside bottom of the phone (clearly from placing it in my car holder) as "damage" and imply that was somehow making my screen bubble which made it ineligible for coverage without a charge. Ridiculous and unhelpful crooks! Completely dishonest! Samsung should not be doing business with them and neither should anyone else. read more

Went yesterday to get my iPhone 11 fixed for a cracked screen and they did a great job. The shop was small so there was no wait for me. My screen looks brand new, they had the official screen, and the price was reasonable. I came in with troubles for my HP laptop and was told upfront that their diagnostics would be completely free and that they will notify me of the cost of actually fixing it before they get started. The staff were knowledgeable and very communicative. I did not follow through with the repair itself because the staff were willing to tell me that the repairs would cost more than the device is worth, something I'm really grateful for. I came to get a small crack fixed on the screen of my phone. It wasn't anything major but I wanted to get it fixed before it got any worse. While I was getting the quote, the associate was talking VERY fast and throwing out a lot of information and asking various questions but I was constantly having to ask him to repeat himself because I simply could not understand him. But not a big issue, maybe he was in a rush and had lots to do in the back, I get it! Then he gave me the quote, I have no idea what a normal quote looks like so I was okay with paying any number he threw out. But when I mentioned I had $10 off from some email promotion I think he said he "couldn't find it" but he's give me the $10 off anyway. Now this part is on me, I didn't look close enough at the receipt to catch that he didn't do the $10 discount. Again, not the biggest deal it was only $10. The part that is really resulting in the 2 starts is the fact that my screen has SUCH a long delay when I touch it. I end up tapping by my screen four or five times and then it will wake up. I feel like I have to get my screen fixed AGAIN because of this issue. But I won't be returning to them any time soon. read more
