So I have now spent over $200 and I'm in a worse situation than before. plus it was a traumatic experience and I will file a formal complaint and take legal action. That was no way to treat a customer.

Went back and solution was to keep restarting the iphone to reset it. Afterwards noticed horizontal lines blinking across, no reset for thsi issue possible. No matter what, the screen clarity, colors doesn't come close to original Apple. Was told that could pay additional fee ($325 initial + $250) to get the better quality screen. Apparently there are different quality screens that can be offered. Refused to keep throwing good money after bad and interesting enough, the Apple store had original screen for $325. Guess it is end of season for last year model and dropped price for screens to get rid of them Lesson of the day: check prices and gain clear understanding with questions what are you getting into. Vendor will not offer without prompting the story about "various quality levels" for screens available or that you may get stuck with lines or screen colors/clarity is not what you are used to.

Their signage indicated they were open, and their online profile also showed open hours, which made the situation even more frustrating. I tried calling while I was there and got no answer, and this wasn't the first time, I had also called the week prior without anyone picking up. I even waited in my car for a while in case someone showed up, but no one ever did. It ended up being a complete waste of my time, especially since I made the trip specifically based on their reputation. I'm genuinely disappointed, as I was ready to move forward with repairs and give them my business.

It is, after all, a SMALL repair store with a LOT of supplies... and I don't go for ambiance. I go for quality repairs, and great service, and have never been disappointed. I find Eddie, the owner, to be honest, knowledgeable, and fast when he isn't inundated with trying to please customers with his quick turnaround repairs. Personally, I dont worry about what time the store may open. I never go until I call to see if I can bring my stuff in. So, I have never had to wait. A small business such as UZ Tech Computers may have to open late due to some reasonable issues... Heck, you might even find a good deal on rebuilt computers, if you aren't too picky. I did. Bought a desktop years ago, and it has worked fine. If it had not, I'm certain that Eddie would take care of the issue... I HIGHLY recommend UZ Tech for repairs, on both cell phones and computers. They said it would be about a 3-4 day turnaround to diagnose and fix. After 3-4 WEEKS of going back and forth with these people (and I was the one having to call for updates multiple times because they never called like they said they would), they finally deemed my switch unfixable. When I came in to pick up my switch, I initially thought they gave me someone else's switch back because the attached joycons were clearly not mine. These were scratched up, dented, and completely different colors than the ones I dropped off. I relayed this to the guy and he went in the backroom to look for my joycons. He came back up front and said he would have to talk to the manager and have him follow up with me, because he couldn't find my joycons in the store. About 4 days went by without a call so I had to follow up again and was told by an employee that the manager said there was nothing they could do about losing my joycons and that they would not replace them either, especially because my switch was deemed unfixable anyway...? So because they couldn't fix my switch, they felt it was appropriate to "lose" and then refuse to replace my joycons? Honestly at this point I'm questioning if they even gave me my switch console back. I've never had such an unprofessional experience like this.
