A screen installed at this location killed itself a couple of months after the one year warranty expired with no physical damage done it. It had two small neon green lines across the top, and when the associate asked me to remove the phone's case, the entire screen turned green and stopped working completely, to which he said "yeah, that can happen sometimes." I was told there as nothing that could be done except to pay full price for a brand new screen which I later discovered was just about the same price as the phone itself. This review is simply based on how the Manager of this location handled a matter. Unprofessional on his approach & conclusion of dealing with a customer. Ultimately walked away from the conversation, leaving another staff member to try and handle it, because he couldn't honor what one of the other employees offered and was unable to pleasantly resolve or deescalate the situation. I brought my computer in for a FREE tune up and virus check. Two days later I get a call from ZACH saying it will not power on. Upon picking up my computer, the power cable I brought with me was not returned back to me. I was told "sometimes they get jumbled up in the back there". I had a good experience here. My $1000 iPhone fell into a roadside ditch just before Christmas and I was unable to retrieve it until March. It was caked in mud and I found it under a block of ice. Fortunately, it still seemed to work except the screen kept flashing green then turning off. Apple charges $275 for a new screen and uBreakiFix listed their price on their website: $175. I stopped in at 6:45pm, 15 minutes before they close. And they helped me, but were somewhat brief. Still they answered all my questions and were helpful. They said no charge if it doesn't work after the screen is replaced. They'd just put the old one back on. The next morning they replaced the screen, texted me at 11am saying it was done. I texted back asking if the phone actually worked now because it was in a ditch all winter and didn't know if the screen was the only problem. I didn't get an answer back. I could've called but figured I'd just stop in. I stopped in shortly before closing again. They gave me my phone and it worked perfectly. I was worried they'd use a cheap lcd or led type screen instead of oled like it came with. But it appears to be oled and of good quality. You can tell they fix a lot of phones and everything was fairly routine for them. It kind of reminded me of a fast food experience: cheap, fast and efficient. I called twice and spoke to Zach confirmed a price that it would cost to replace a broken iPhone screen- 129$ Go in the next day to drop off my phone and the price goes up 50$ as they don't have the parts in to fix it at the 129$ price.. even after it was confirmed the fix was possible the day before and they were reserving the cheaper parts for me. We had great service when we stopped in to get a battery replaced for my mom's phone. They had it replaced fast and only cost $75 vs needing to purchase a new phone right away. If I could put a zero star review on an associate I would. Zach from uBreakiFix in Maple Grove completely lied and told me that I'm required to sign up with Asurion (a monthly home tech coverage plan) when I came in to simply change my iPhone screen. I questioned him and said no thank you I'm not interested at this time.. he continued to say that this is how the techs get paid and it's part of the screen repair payment. Lol commission based and pushy much? He said it was $25+ tax a month and can be canceled anytime. He had my card and charged it while I was still questioning him. I asked him for my receipt he said he can't print it out.. it would be emailed. I never received ANY receipt for that $25 transaction. I called Asurion and they were in shock. They said their monthly tech service is completely optional and actually FREE for 30days!!! So why did Zach lie to me and say it was required? And charge my card $25 when it's FREE for 30days? I even asked other customers in the store if they were required to sign up for this and they said no they got the option to decline! I honestly feel bad for this dude. Their name should be "webreakverizonfixes". VZ sent me over there to get battery replaced. Left before I realized that now the sim card isnt working, making the phone useless. Made my third trip back there and after 10 minutes of hemming and hawing in the back they say "Duh. We replaced the battery and thats working fine. We didnt do anything with SIM card. Something else must have just happened". They opened the sim card when I first dropped it off so they did in fact touch it. They stuck by their "I dunno" excuse. Went back to verizon,they confirmed SIM was damaged and made it right when IFix refused to accept the responsibility for their mistake. Unless you ihave a back up to fix what IFix breaks while fixing, Id go elsewhere. read more

Problems at check in and then an hour late getting phone done. Parts were missing. They Don't seem to care about customer service at all!

I was originally extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Maple Grove location; they called me about my quote and let me know how long the process should take, they walked me through how to get my phone to them during the pandemic and they assured me they would call my boyfriend when the phone arrived. They also made sure to call with an exact quote before fixing my phone screen and payment was completed easily over the phone. That was Friday and we were told my phone would be sent out the next morning. After not seeing it by the following Wednesday, we called again. First my boyfriend was told the phone had been sent out, when I called back later in the day to get the tracking number they claimed it hadn't actually gone out but I would get the tracking number sent to my email when it did. By Friday, still no tracking number or phone, I called again and spoke with a manager who claimed my phone was being sent out according to their records and should arrive Friday or Saturday, and he said he would send me the tracking number. By today I still have no phone in my hand and no tracking number in my email. I'm not likely to use this location EVER again. read more
