They did a great job! I had a rather frightening accident last week. Took a spill in the middle of Magazine St in the cbd where there is plenty if fast moving traffic--and it was night and I was wearing black so no one saw me go down! Had to leap up and scramble furiously out of the way of the oncoming cars. Thankfully only my knee was injured, but when I looked at my phone I was horrified to discover the screen completely shattered beyond repair! My beloved Samsung S20 that has served me faithfully for nearly 2 years. Insurance was able to replace it almost immediately, but when I took it to the Verizon store to get it activated, they were unable to transfer *any* of my info to the new phone, including my nearly 10k pictures... a record of my Iife for the last 5 years. Luckily the Verizon guy pointed me in the direction of UbreakIfix. He said they'd be able to replace the screen so as to transfer my data. He even called and got a quote for me--$215 dollars! I was a bit put out by the price but I was willing to do it nonetheless. In the end, when I talked to them myself, I was able to get a better deal! The Verizon agent hadn't accurately described the problem, and since I only needed a temporary screen replacement, it would only be $100... $109 total with tax. I went in and had everything transferred this afternoon. It took a remarkably short time, only around an hour. So I just waited for it to finish since I don't have a car. I hung out in their lobby... which does not have any chairs, but they do play the Bob Ross channel so I got to watch him paint for a while which was rather soothing. The girl who helped me was kind and professional and she even wiped my old phone for me so that I don't have to stress when I send it back to insurance. Back in the day, I never needed a place like this. Because I would always repair or replace my own cellphone screens. But nowadays I just don't have the time. So a facility like this is perfect for me. This was my second visit to this location. The first visit went a little like this: I scheduled my repair online, I dropped the phone off, 3 hours later, I was contacted advising my phone was ready for pickup, I returned to pick up my phone, checked in on Yelp, barely got my freebie because the tech said the check-in offer was old & he didn't think the owner would honor it, but the owner did indeed honor the offer, I paid for the repair and I was out of there. The second visit went a little like this: I scheduled my repair online, I had to modify the appointment due to a scheduling conflict on my itinerary, I checked in on Yelp, I dropped the phone off, the gentleman advised he was unsure if he'd be able to get it completed before the close of business depending on the flow of customers, one hour later he contacted me and said the phone was ready, I returned to pick up the phone before 7 PM at which time they closed, and I was out of there. Both times, it was a simple stick & move caper; which if you read my reviews you know that I love those. Pros: -Scheduling online -friendliness of the staff -availability of same-day repair Cons: -parking isn't the best -the repairs can be costly, but hey, we need our phones I'd like to say this is my go to place, at least for my android phone repairs. I needed a battery change. Told me since I was first it would probably be an hour.. I came back in an hour and 20 and was told to come back in 40... I came back in 50 and was told they installed a defective battery (their last) and had to reinstall my old one. 2 hours of my life wasted. I like a dumb dumb I plugged my iPad in and set it,not very carefully, on my side table. It fell off right on the power cord and the piece that plugs in to the iPad broke off in the iPad. I panicked. Please be careful and read all receipts. they will try and charge you for warranty services without mentioning the program or letting you know they are even doing it. They then claim there is nothing they can do to reverse/cancel these programs in store. Word of caution..... Edited to clarify given the owners aggressive response: Mike, so glad you responded the way you did. I admit, I left out a small note, that the warranty product in question was for Asurian Home Plus. Granted, it was sold to me by a person in UBreakiFix apparel in your location. The physical receipt I received before leaving my phone in the store had no mention of the company "Asurian" or the corresponding $25 charge. However, I HAD already been charged $25. Your employee was misleading at best and intentionally fraudulent at worst. Alternatively, your entire organization makes a habit of saying one thing and doing another. I hope this serves as a fair warning to future customers! For the record, while canceling this service and charge with Asurian, they let me know this "happens all the time". read more

Very disappointed. I broke my screen around the edges and brought it in to be fixed and paid $200. My phone has not been the quality it has since I took it in. Because I have an iPhone, my settings do not let me set the touch sensitivity on my phone. Ever since getting mine fixed at this place, my phone doesn't pick up on my fingers nearly as well and won't let me scroll or text as easily as it use to. When I brought the phone back out of frustration they let me know that they did not replace it with an iPhone screen and this is likely the reason. I'm not sure why it cost $200 if it wasn't an iPhone screen. I highly recommend taking your phone to a Mac Genius Bar if you're going to pay that price for a new screen! LET ME TELL YOU! this place is the absolute best! My iPhone 7 would not get past what is called the screen of death where the apple logo is stuck when you turn it on. I took it to the apple store and they told me the only answer was to reset my phone entirely. I was extremely devastated because that meant that 3000+ photos and my contacts for the past 3 years would be completely erased because I did not have everything backed up to iCloud. Thankfully, I found this place right near where I live and they were able to offer what is known as the free diagnostics. They were able to fix my phone through this FREE DIAGNOSTICS and charge me nothing. I ended up paying them 40 dollars to fix my phone out of my own will because that is the least I could do for them to bring back the past 3 years on my phone. This place also has extremely friendly staff who are super knowledgable about iPhones! The guy who worked on my phone was super chill and calming! However, they also do not make any false promises and tell you they can definitely fix your phone but they told me they are able to fix 75% of iPhones so that speaks for itself! read more

Complete ripoff; absolutely terrible. I arranged for a repair person to come to my home to repair a broken phone screen; the phone worked perfectly but the screen was cracked. I paid a $30 deposit online. The repair person arrived, installed the new screen, and found out that the new screen was defective, and this left my phone completely dead; I could no longer unlock it or do anything with it. The repair person told me I had to go to the store to have them fix it; he could not come back with a working part. I paid for this service to happen at my home and cannot go to the store. Contacted customer service to ask for a refund on my deposit, and got zero response; it's been over a week. Absolutely disgusting experience. read more

Let me first start off by saying if you're scared of shady repair shops this is not one of them. This is my fourth time coming to uBreakiFix and every experience i've walked out with a smile on my face. I had a custom PC problem today that I was super worried about. I walked in and the gentleman that was helping me opened up my pc and diagnosed the problem in less then a minute. He then found multiple other problems and fixed them for me in under 10 minutes. This is now the third time I have used this particular location for repairs to my iPhone. The staff was courteous, polite, gloved and masked. They repaired my phone in 10 minutes (it only needed a new screen saver and a cleaning of the charging port) and the best part is it was free!!!! After having a terrible experience at a business yesterday, unrelated to this, this mornings interaction renewed my faith that some businesses view customer service as priority when serving customers.....even when they aren't going to charge them. Fixed my cracked screen though AT&T insurance, fixed it quickly, said "we guarantee the screen as long as it's not broke." Go back 5 days later and tell them it's not working correctly, and they tell me "you have to go back through AT&T", so basically they aren't responsible for their own work.
