I made a reservation. I assumed that meant my repair would be done that hour. hmm. no. I arrived at my time and there were several people waiting and someone at the counter. the employee was talking to them of course. Did they acknowledge that I came in? No. Did they ask if I had an appointment? No. Did they talk to anyone else in the store besides the customers at the counter? no. Oh was there anyone else in the store? No. It was clear the salesperson wasn't going to help me in any kind of timely fashion. 15 minutes talking to the current customer and not a look or anything. Was my phone going to be repaired that hour? Obviously not. Was I even going to be talked to in the hour I had an appointment? Maybe? but unlikely. Totally this place has no idea what they are doing. Hard Pass. never go here unless you want to drop off your stuff to repaired someday. read more

I had my appointment reserved for 4 days. I made the drive, specifically to this location, based on the reviews. It took them less than 5 minutes to look in the back, tell me that they didn't have a replacement screen for my phone, and to openly tell me that I might as well just buy a new phone for what it would cost me. I asked if they could just replace it with a different color than the coordinated one, and even that was rejected. Within those four days, they could have reached out, inquired on their own, and just let me know to not make the drive. I was blatantly inconvenienced to for no reason whatsoever. read more

I went in to get my laptop fixed as it was not charging. They told me I'd have it back in a week. Long story short: I did not. It took over two weeks. During that time I talked to many different employees on the phone and each one said they were waiting on a different part and we're doing something different to fix it. When I finally was able to pick it up- they said they just cleaned my charging port out? They did not use any of the parts we have been waiting forever for. I'm on a tight budget. When I got my charging capabilities fixed, they noticed my display was broken in one area. The front desk employee enrolled me in Asurion Home+ against my will, just handed me my receipt. Told me to wait 31 days for the plan to activate and then file a claim. The employee told me they would fix it for $100 then. I trusted them as experts and was already enrolled in the plan so I followed their advice. Of course my claim was denied for pre-existing condition due to this establishment documenting my issue in their notes despite being the ones to tell me to file the claim this way. This UbreakIFix just wanted to hit their enrollment quota and steal $50 for the monthly plan from me. I still don't have my laptop fixed AND I'm put money that could put food on our table. I came in with a broken screen, came out with missing parts and a broken laptop. The screen was working, but my computer kept shutting off. Went to Apple and they said I had 26 missing screws, two cowlings, one SSD screw, and Mylar battery tab. When I came back to Ubreakit and told them the situation, they gave me a full refund. So my wife brought her iPad in due to an expanded battery, which was still working by the way. As time went on we didn't any updates from store, we had to call them for updates. At one point they tell us they got the battery in but it wasn't turning on they said they wanted to send it to a tier 2 support for further evaluation. If I could give this company negative stars I would. I went in in April to get a screen replaced (via asurion insurance) and the repair sucked and this lead me to just upgrade my phone rather than get it repaired again because eventually I got so frustrated with my screen having parts that would just decide to stop working. Fast forward to a few days ago... I cracked my brand new phone screen and again via insurance decided to get it replaced. I was weary of going back to the red bug lake location so I tried to come here to East colonial. Horrible mistake. Not only while I waited did I get to hear the techs drop loud f bombs about the company not hiring more coverage (I guess they were short handed because someone called out) But the lobby was super dirty and they weren't enforcing COVID-19 protocol meaning there were more people in the lobby than the sign on the door said they would allow... BUT THE BEST PART is that apparently the night before I went in their WiFi got knocked out and because of my phone being an insurance claim they needed to run repair calibration software on my phone in order to get it out of restore mode and to tell my phone that my display was genuine...they couldn't do this.... so they handed me back my phone and said I could either come back the next day or lose all of my data.... I went to the apple store to get my phone out of restore mode (this entire damn experience took like 6 hours) and my phone is saying I don't have a genuine display so now I have to go back to these clowns and potentially let them brick my phone again...and I have to pay the 50 dollar deductible still even though I lost months of data and hours of my time because I even though I called every company involved no one will give me a refund... go literally anywhere else... the tech at the front desk Tyler genuinely seemed nice and like he cared to help but this company is terrible and they shouldn't have taken my phone knowing full well they were running off of a hot spot and didn't have WiFi. Update: we spoke with the district manager and he is replacing the phone. Glad their customer service came through but still keeping one star off because we had to go through all that just because they don't have a disclaimer protocol Unbelievably upset right now. I brought a working phone into this establishment to get the battery replaced - a phone that worked perfectly well with no issues other than a battery that drained too quickly. I brought home a phone that is incapable of charging - the phone recognizes that a charger is plugged in but does not charge. We bring the phone back and are told that there was unseen water damage that had corroded the motherboard and when they opened the phone it caused a short and broke it. At no point was it ever mentioned that there was a danger of destroying our phone if they opened the phone. At no point was any risk or danger presented to us. Instead, we get the nasty surprise of finding out that the simple act of opening the phone was enough to move around wires and completely ruin it. We had no idea there was water damage in the phone (although we don't deny it's possible - life happens), but if we had any indication that opening the phone posed serious problems we would have reconsidered risking a working phone to switch out a battery. How ironic that their name is "ubreakifix" because it would be much more apt to say "ubringinandwebreak". read more

Very frustrating with this service. Had a confirmed appointment for a Samsung refrigerator repair. Within approx 3 hours later they canceled my appointment and rescheduled for a week later. In speaking to their representative they cannot come sooner due to other appointment. The refrigerator is under warranty and Samsung company communicated they do not have another company. I took my phone there to get the charging port fixed. Over the phone they told me it was a two hour repair, but when we arrived it became a 4 hour repair. then a 5 hour repair and then 7 hours we got a back a broken phone that doesn't even turn on. I am appalled by the service here. I brought my MacBook and iPad here and it took them a MONTH to officially diagnose the Mac. I kept getting excuses on top of excuses as to when it'll be done. I'd literally have to make the 20 min drive to the store for an update. Only to find out I needed to replace it. After expressing my extreme dissatisfaction and declining for them to repair my ipad, they tried to redeem themselves by fixing my iPad the same day. With great hesitation, I let them fix it. Literally the next day, the home button slipped and the screen had some black paint. He stated it was transfer and he was going to fix it but when I came back later that day, it had the same screen and a BLACK home button that didn't even work on my WHITE ipad! Ive been waiting for the new screen and home button for over a week now. I dropped it off today and was told it would get done by tonight. Once again, I'm waiting for my ipad because "they got swamped". This store is nothing but an inconvenience and a major headache. Its nothing but excuses and workers who work on their own time, preference and at their convenience, which is sad because their reviews prior to 2023, were soo good. I guess they need better staff. They did a half done job then charged me full price. Took my phone here for the camera to be fixed, when I picked it up the camera was still dirty and smudged but the glass was fixed. After asking them to clean my camera which was obviously dirty they said it'd take them another hour on top of the 2 hours they already quoted me. When I came back to pick it up I can hear the conversation of the guy in the back saying he didn't know he had to clean my phone again and when I looked at the camera it sure enough looked the exact same... smudged and dirty. After asking the guy ringing me up about it, all he gave me was lame excuses.They have Poor Craftsmanship and Poor Customer Service, but a very good scam going for themselves. read more

I went into UBreak I fix on East Colonial Drive and Alafaya Trail today. I have an older Samsung Galaxy S5 that I still use. The power button had fallen off of the phone and was lost. I could not turn it on. I assumed that it would not be fixable. I showed them my phone and he took my phone to the back of the store and in less than 5 minutes he came back. The screen was dark. I said to him, What's the verdict? He then turned the phone on and it worked! I almost cried. There are 6 years of contacts in that phone. He suggested that I keep the phone plugged in and dont let it die. If it does, bring it back and I will turn it on again for you. Then he suggested that I get all of the contacts and videos and pictures off of it. I asked him what do I owe for this, and he said nothing. I was so happy! I have been out of work since March 13th and I am still battling daily with unemployment which I have received absolutely nothing from them. I highly recommend them to anyone that has a problem with their phone. They are exceptional! I wish all businesses could be this good!!!! read more

Don't do it DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONE HERE. I had them replace my battery and replace the screen. The battery is worse then it was before they touched it, I am having to charge it 3 times a day now. On the second day the phone got hot to the touch and the screen exploded and cracked. I called the store and talked to Sebastian about fixing the phone or giving me a refund he said no problem just bring the phone in and he will give me a refund. I asked what time you open he said 9am so I got there at 9 am and the store is closed until 100 am according to the sign on the door. So I called at 10am and the answering machine said they don't open until 11am . I was not able to drive back over until 6 pm that afternoon and Sebastian didn't come out some other person did. He told me that because the screen had damage that it voided the warranty but they wold fix it if I paid them $189 more for a total of $378 to fix a 5 year old phone. As a consumer I feel totally ripped off they stole my money and thought that I was stupid enough to let them do it twice. they wanted me to pay because they don't have any idea what they are doing STAY AWAY DON'T LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY LIKE THEY DID MINE! Long story short I paid $200 for them to fix my phone, they didn't do it right, I brought it back in, and they tried to charge me again to fix what they didn't do in the first place. My phone was so broken you couldn't see half the screen. I brought it in and they were very helpful (even helped me get the cheapest deal possible) and I was very happy. However, right after I brought it out of the store I noticed it had touch issues (had to tap multiple times for it to register my touch, letters that I didn't touch were being typed, etc) and decided to bring it back when the issues continued. They said they could not repair it because it had water damage and could be a motherboard issue, which they apparently knew the first time I brought it in and had failed to mention to me. The 90 day warranty also apparently didn't matter because there was now a small crack on my screen and they "couldn't be sure that wasn't the reason for the touch issues." The staff seems very friendly but the fact that they didn't tell me the full extent of the damage the first time and continue to try and charge me for their mistakes is sketchy and wrong. read more
