I want to start off with the customer service was overall really good hence the 3 stars instead of 1. Everyone was kind and very willing to help, but the work that was done seemed to lack attention to detail or care for the device they worked on. I brought in my wife's phone for a back glass and battery replacement. She went without a phone for two days. When we were told the device was ready, we found several issues: * Adhesive was visible around the camera area. * The back glass was not installed flush with the phone. * There were new scratches along the sides. * There is a noticeable gap between the camera bezels and the glass. * The Camera flash was cracked somehow. Additionally, I was not verbally informed that the charging port had been damaged and replaced during the repair. I only found this noted on the receipt. read more

The competition is tough when it comes to restoring electronic devices to their original state and/or performance. Places like "I fix your i", "U break I fix", "I fix Gooood!" and "FixStop" offer the same service at relatively the same price and try to catch you with their names. I personally distrust the robotic tone of these biz names, then again, what is best than a robot to perform a repetitive simple task? How about a big sign, the biggest sign available? Nope, these places even use the same typeface and black/white signs. It's like all these "FIX" places belong to the same person! The only reason for choosing one of these places over another is location, so I conclude that my local "FIX" is the best one. And I think I am right. I came here with a dead battery and the person helping me was a sales expert, dropping lines like "I have that part", "the technician is here", "we'll have it ready in no time", "I can", "I will", "30 day warranty","yes, yes, yes!". But I am used to sales pitches, so I paid attention to this guy's sales pitch, which was "I'll have it ready in 20 minutes". Personally, I don't care if it takes one hour, two or three, but if you give me a time, and you give me some record time also, man, I am listening. So I clocked this guy, not like I punched him, I timed him. Next to the "FixStop" there is a Public supermarket, so I got "free coffee ALL day" plus a couple donuts, ate and drank, I enjoyed life to be honest, realized this coffee was another fix stop, and looked at the time on my phone, not the one I dropped off (hello), and saw the timer get closer and closer to the promised 20 minutes. And just like promised, the phone rang and a male voice said "your phone is ready". Dang! 20 minutes on the dot! I was surprised, not because I am a Floridian, or because of my Hispanic heritage, or because sales people are sweet talkers, but the precision of hitting 20 minutes on the dot. Not bad. Now, I dropped off the phone with one person, someone else fixed it, and a third person gave the phone back to me. I bring my iMac there they told me 24 hours for a diagnosis they got back to me the next day. They said it was my hard drive and my OS system was out of date so they put new of both in there. I went and picked it up had it home for about two hours and was continuing to do the exact same thing that I bring it there for. I called them. I bring it back to them and then for 4 to 5 days later I called got the same thing. The technicians were working on it and doing running . Finally, I was so over it. I told them that I moved it back all of a sudden they said they figured out what was wrong with it. Supposedly it was a program that I was running so I had them wiped the entire computer back to factory was like brand new. Long story short I bring it home today. About a week ago, after a streak of never having my phone's screen shattered, my phone fell on it's screen and it completely shattered. I immediately called Fixstop since it's within a mile of my home. Getting a quote took about a minute or less. I was told screen repair would take about 15-30mins. I arrived, immediately was seen and left my phone. After 45 mins, my phone was ready and looking brand new. I have an Iphone 8plus and the screen replacement cost about $95 (with taxes) for a standard screen. The additional 15 mins were no problem for me. Cracked my phone last night, got a brand new working screen today. I stopped into this little spot near my parents house at the advice of my sister (I guess cracking screens is genetic) and was completely impressed. The worker was super nice and thorough when explaining services and costs. You can tell they really want to help people out and not gouge you for money. He also assumed my broken camera was due to faulty software and not my absolute bad luck in dropping the phone at just the right angle to shatter both the front and the back. Anyway, super great service with super nice staff. The whole thing took a total of 15 minutes, probably less. It was enough time for me to go grab a couple groceries from Publix before they called. Pricing is comparable to other shops in the area and they have a 30 day guarantee which is excellent. I initially had a pretty unpleasant experience here. I thought it was all handled pretty poorly. I paid and left pretty unhappy and wrote a long review outlining everything. I have to give credit to the owner, Ibrahim (hope I'm spelling that correctly). He reached out to me personally to explain everything and offered his apologies for what happened and I think really did empathize with my frustrations. I don't think it necessary to go into the details of everything that happened, just to say it was a pretty poor interaction with some of the employees that left me feeling manipulated/lied to. I do believe it was probably an isolated incident and probably poor communication that lead to everything, but it certainly could have been handled better. In any regard, Ibrahim turned things around and I think this speaks volumes to the actual customer service-centric attitude of this business. At the end of the day, he could have just ignored my complaints and I would have had little to no recourse. Instead, he really listened and sought to make things right. I do believe that everything could have been handled a little bit better initially, but I realize mistakes happen and people can get heated. I don't think what happened necessarily speaks to how they conduct themselves normally. Nor did what occurred, occur out of any sort of malice, instead it was more than likely just a failure to communicate things properly. I have been here twice. My first time here was a pleasant experience, the guy who helped me was nice and the service is quick. My really bad experience was yesterday when I stopped by to get my screen fixed because it cracked. The guy that helped me said that because this was my second time here he would only charge me $99 plus tax. I agreed to it and went back half an hour later to fix my phone. He told me that the price was $117 which confused me because $17 in taxes is kind of absurd, but I didn't say anything because I was in a rush with my two kids and we needed to go home for dinner. When I checked my receipt later on today, I noticed that he charged me $109 plus tax rather than what he had verbally told me earlier. I am quite upset with the fact that he lied to my face in order to get my business. The only reason I went here was because my experience was good the first time and it is close by home, but I would not recommend this place to anyone and would rather go somewhere else that will charge $10-20 less. Additionally, I would also like to add in the fact that he tried to ask me to buy the tampered glass 3x after I repetitively told him no. I understand we're all trying to make a living here but telling you no once should be enough. Especially if you decided to go back on your word and charge me something different than originally quoted! I'm glad that some people had good experiences here but for me, I would not come back.
