All my little cousin talks about is about motivated mustangs and the different clubs to join. He also tell me about all the sports divisions they provide. Every time that I pick him up from school, he talks about what he learns. Yeah they are kinda learning things that could maybe be put off a year, but it's good because it's beneficial for their learning and if they're good at hard stuff now, they'll be a pro at it later. That's what I think the plan is here at Mater Academy Mountain Vista. The teachers are also very understanding and cooperative including coaches. Especially Ms. Shelton (2022) I believe she's the volleyball coach, and I hear she does a lot more than that. She's the music teacher, sports manager, elementary student council president. It's so many things that these teachers do to show they are committed into their job and they're willing to take the time to work with students and help them be the best they can be. Mrs. Carbajah (2022) is a wonderful lady and she makes this school great ! From what I hear she's been here at this school since the beginning and has helped it improve over the years. This shows even more how committed all the staff of Mater Academy is. I also love how they have socials to keep families posted on the daily of what going on. Christina and Eric are fantastic educators and wonderful people. I definitely feel that my son would have fallen through the cracks in a standard institution, but at NVSI he has been nurtured, supported and developed beyond my wildest hopes. The hands on approach and unique learning structure offered really seems to have had a positive and lasting impact on my son. He has never wanted to go to school as avidly as he has since enrolling at NVSI. The change in attitude is amazing. I would recommend this school for any child. The cost is also very economical compared to other private schools in the area. That is not to say that NVSI is not a commitment for both the parents and the student, but it is absolutely worth the investment 100%.

They are well-maintained and clean. Seating in the gymnasium was comfortable, and the view of the court was great from any seat. The school staff and volunteers were great hosts, friendly and welcoming. Parking for the visitors was readily available in the huge parking lot, as was the large area designated for parking the visiting high school's trucks and trailers. This was a fun and memorable all-day event for hundreds of visiting students, parents, and other guests from over 50 high schools in Nevada and a few from California. All the employees, all the way up to the owner Rick, were always accessible and available to answer any questions any student might have. * Bar Management Specifically o I took the course because my wife and I are opening a bar. Over my 12-week course Darryl and I were afforded many opportunities to discuss ideas for our specific business model as well as the Las Vegas & national bar industry in general. It has proved to be priceless for me as some of the things that came out of those conversations will be used in some fashion in our operation - whether it be in the planning and development phase, the actual operating phase or in the setting of longer-term goals and expectations for our business's future, including growth and expansion. o Darryl is incredibly knowledgeable and has an amazing ability to teach people of a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, experience levels, knowledge bases and learning styles. The added information he injects from his own personal experience adds an even deeper level of understanding to the many topics covered throughout the Bar courses. o Darryl sets a realistic atmosphere, keeping the training as close to real life as possible (i.e. from the lighting & décor, to training in an actual bar setting; containing all of the equipment an operating bar would have, to playing music, to teaching the bartending lessons at the bar to create a realistic buzz in the room for those practicing drink making at the same time). o Darryl is a straight shooter. He keeps it real, so when you have completed either of the Bar courses offered there will be no doubt about what a graduate should expect when moving forward into the industry's workforce. o Darryl creates and maintains a team-like atmosphere where students root each other on and celebrate each other's progress and successes.
