They give you all the options but don't try and pressure you unlike some places I have visited.

Although they themselves had Kwik Fit posters, the price was higher than quoted on the KF website. I was directed to drive my car in, then once I got out, they jacked it up and had the wheels off before they had even given me the quote! Once they had the wheels off I felt pressured and then couldn't decline the service. If thats not pressurising the customer what is? The staff were pretty miserable and generally not customer friendly, ignoring you until they had to at last acknowledge your presence. The printer was not working, so they advised the receipt would follow in the post. They sent the recipt in an A4 envelope with not enough postage on (a single stamp). So I had to go to the Royal Mail office and pay the amount that had been underpaid, plus an admin fee to Royal Mail! Thanks a lot, Chessington Tyres. Chessington Tyres, a truly terrible and dire service. Never, ever again!! You have been warned.

So decided to get tyres at another local garage, turned out wheels were never aligned and never touched. And they had also lied on how much they were out of alignment etc, nothing had been done and was given no proper paperwork. I would avoid this garage, as they left car unsafe and untouched whilst claiming to have done work. I was completely taken advantage of!

Similar story again this morning with Kim's car where they didn't try to sell me tyres although the tracking did need to be re-aligned. Unlike the guy from the alarm company whose recent inspection was a seeming race against some imaginary clock, their approach is measured and professional and leaves you with the feeling that they've done the job properly. They have a warm & comfortable seating area with a free coffee machine and a window that you can watch them working through or they seem quite happy for you to watch more closely if there's not too much going on. If you decide to give them a try, bear in mind that the entrance is in the end of Lower Church Street. Also, Saturdays are often busy so I usually call ahead to book a slot.
