I was so happy to find out that UCR was having a BLS for Healthcare Providers class on campus. They made the class very fun and interactive, which is great for learning! The instructor, Jonathan Phung, was professional, entertaining and very knowledgable. Overall I am very satisfied with the class and to top it off we get our cards right on the spot! No need to wait and no need to stress. It's a three hour class and boom you're certified. I recommend this for anyone who wishes to volunteer or work in the medical field!

awesome instructors, the class was a lot of fun. they provide a study guide you can look over before hand but everything you need to know will be taught thoroughly during the course of the class. my bls class went over cpr on an adult and child, how to help a choking victim, how to use the aed and bvm. they provide instruction for various situations that may occur in real life.

I really enjoyed my experience taking the CPR/BLS course. Both instructors (Chris and Israel) were so informative and approachable.

Friendly and patient instructors! I was in a small class where there was enough equipment/mannequins to practice.

I love the way how Miss April was strict and precise on teaching us all the aspect of the class. it helps us on our clinicals to be confident on how we care for patients it gave us confidence on how to deal with any situation. We appreciate and thank you so much, Miss April and Miss Christine, and if any of you are looking to get your certified CNA program look no further Icare has it all! Every class I had was full of information, broken down and explained. We learned by example and hands on. If you are debating on becoming a CNA, ICARE Academy is the best place to get licensed. They offer services to help you meet the requirements such as CPR CERTIFICATION. I did CPR with them and was by far a wonderful experience too. My CNA CLASS, was phenomenal our teacher Mrs. April made us all understand material to the point we can respond with no doubt and full of confidence. Mrs. Christine also made time to break down material we needed further explanation. In one month I became a CNA and adopted my new ICARE ACADEMY FAMILY. Truly, makes you push yourself but knowing they will NOT let one of their family fail. Even after graduation they allow us to come in a practice for our state. NO OTHER SCHOOL DOES THAT. THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WHY THEY HAVE 100% PASSING. I would recommend and encourage anyone reading this to enroll to this Specific School. If I could, I would give 10000 GOLD STARS. Their business name is true to the core. Thank you to my wonderful new family at ICARE.

Let me start off by advising anyone considering the 5 week course to not underestimate the challenge. The EMT scope of practice may not seem very large, but the amount of knowledge you need to learn is vast. The course requires a 1500+ page textbook and you WILL need to learn the entirety of that book in the four weeks of lecture you have at your disposal. It's tough. Our class of nearly 50 had less than 20 graduates. You need to have a good work ethic, pay attention in class, and quite frankly being a good test taker will take you far. With all this being said, our instructor Crystal did a phenomenal job and prepared us better than I believe anyone else could have with the amount of material we needed to learn in the amount of time we needed to learn it. Combining a wealth of real world experience with an extremely impressive/comprehensive knowledge of all things EMS/Anatomy/Physiology Crystal did an exemplary job of teaching us what we needed to learn and preparing us for the NREMT after. I am grateful for the instruction I received and the experience as a whole.

Michelle was candid and serious about the course, characteristics that are ABSOLUTELY necessary in the medical field. If you are coming into this thinking it'll be a breeze, YOU ARE WRONG. She was an amazing instructor who gives memorization tips and realistic scenarios that require this knowledge. Lock in and read the dang textbook. Just read it, front to back. They literally make questions copy and pasted from the book, so having it in your memory, even if you skimmed through it, will help you. Lecture slides are a rvw for you after reading the chapters; do not rely on them. And please, don't clown around. You will make amazing friends and meet great people, so don't ruin the environment by clowning around and upsetting the instructors. 80% is required in the class to even SIT for the final, so take those exams srsly and memorize the terms and procedures.
