I've been going to UFC gym since they opened. It's a really nice, new gym that I enjoy. I appreciate the help of Karim with signing up. He made me feel like I was getting the best deal and made me feel welcomed. The other staff members I've interacted with or that I've taken the classes of have been amazing, shout out to Nick, Rachel, Malia, and Robert to name a few. Coach Richard with Jiu Jitsu and Coach JackPaul with boxing have also made my experience worthwhile. I recommend checking it out and taking a trial class! read more

I still have a membership here, they have good machines for working out but it's mainly packed and if you want to use the mats for wrestling sparring etc there always being used by a class. I tried this gym recently and had a pretty disappointing experience. I had left my ID at the front desk, and when I needed to leave, I waited and even had someone notify the staff for me, but was ignored. When I retrieved my own ID (which I had permission to leave), one of the managers confronted me in a rude and condescending tone in front of others. I came in with good intentions, was respectful, and didn't deserve to be spoken to like that. Not a great first impression. read more

Really loved this gym because it was nice and clean! But definitely tried to scam me with billing for physical training that I never agreed to. Rachel fuerpe Felipe a PT tried to charge me $420 one month then another 800$ that my bank caught suspicious then another 509$ the following month and when I tried to get a refund no body was really accommodating to help each time I caught onto the charges till I went to my bank lucky I did get a refunded but ended up cancelling. Customer service here (member services; namely Chris and Rachel) have awful communication. Next to impossible to get in touch with either one of them - between emails and phone calls - they're constantly "unavailable". The tactics here are to sign you up electronically as quickly as possible and not let you read the contract. Further, they'll tell you one thing, but will end up getting you to sign to different terms without informing you. It seems the priority here is money, and to deceive and dodge customers. I've only been a member for one day and I already understand why there are so many reviews saying the staff doesn't know what they're doing. I scheduled a complimentary intro session with coach Rachel a week in advance, then when I decided I didn't want the training session anymore I called to cancel to free Rachel's schedule for Tuesday I was told by the employee on the phone that she doesn't have Rachel's number so she can't cancel. She took my name and phone number down and still told me to call back later to cancel. I said sure, but obviously that isn't an efficient process to cancel an appointment, so I mess around with the ufc app and it was so easy to cancel on the app, took 1 second. Just went on the calendar and tapped cancel lol. Staff needs more training and better problem solving skills read more

The first floor has a recovery area that is a separate fee to the gym membership and has cryotherapy. The locker rooms have a high temperature dry sauna. Walked in to check out the gym being a general gym rat and a fan of the UFC. Shout out to Uma Sachin for giving an exceptional tour and showing us all the amenities thoroughly. The gym had a nice vibe and wasn't congested or crowded at all. Rolled on the mats for a while and afterwards we were allowed to use the recovery room which has very nice facilities including a cryotherapy chamber. Overall an amazing gym. You definitely get what you pay for and more. Even if you don't want to train MMA and just hit the gym there's a membership for that. Would highly recommend read more

They have lots of options and times slots for their classes. I've been training with Coach Tony and attend his HIIT class on Wednesday. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his client's overall wellbeing. He's not just a typical trainer. *NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS GYM* June 2024. I bought a 2 year membership and 12 personal training classes for my 12 year old daughter. Totalling $1380. She was excited to learn to fight and I wanted her to know basic personal defense. She had a membership a couple years prior at the fullerton location. Great experience! Her coach there, coach Brandon was wonderful! Great with kids! I assumed the new brea location would be as wonderful. I was wrong. Her first day of personal training with coach Batallia he was teaching her a take down. He picked her up and threw her on her back! Absolutely no warning or training on how to fall and minimize injury. I was shocked! I didn't know how to reached watching this 50 year old man slam her to the ground! She got the wind knocked out of her and he told her to get up. He then proceeded TO DO IT AGAIN! This time even harder! It took her a good 10 seconds to take a breath! Then the fear kicked in and she started balling. She couldn't breath. Coach Batallia just told her this is how you train first responders and Olympic fighters. SHE WAS NEITHER OF THOSE THINGS! JUST A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HE TERRIFIED AND ASSAULTED! She couldn't move her back so I took her outside to calm down and assess her Injuries. I called my husband who immediately came to the location. He went in to talk to the manager, Brian Walker. The front desk guy came out to check on her as did Kevin, signed her up for her membership. Kevin said that coach Batallia should never have done this and it's not how they train children. He apologized and told me to go home and take as much time as necessary to figure out what we want to do. I should have taken her to the hospital. That's on me. It took 2 weeks for her back to heal and have full range motion. Unfortunately she was too scared to go back. I dont blame her! It was and still is traumatic!! I called to let them know she won't be returning and I'd just like a refund. They told me you have 5 days to refund and I missed the window so yhey wouldn't give me my money back. This was never communicated to me! They said take your time! The manager Brian Walker went from kind and sympathetic to rude and unhelpful. He said I'd have to write a letter to corporate. Which I did and never got a response. I emailed Brian several times to get and update. No response. Now his email is changed. I cant get corporate on the phone. No one will talk to me. I'm not the type of person to slam places on social media. I'd like to hope places the advertise children's classes would do the right thing. It's been 9 months. I've gotten nothing from them. So I'm here...warning other parents to be careful! DONT GO TO THIS GYM! I understand that this is a contact sport. BUT YOU TEACH THEM FIRST! You don't slam them into the ground where they can't breath in move WITHOUT TRAINING!!!! Im furious with them and with myself for trusting them with the well being of my daughter! read more

Great facilities, but read the fine print in the contract. You're going to end up paying hidden fees, even on a completely "pre-paid" membership. And when you move 1,500 miles from the nearest UFC gym they will continue to bill you. Don't try calling to cancel the membership either. Gotta pay all the hidden fees before you can do that. Lesson learned for me! 24 Hour Fitness may not be as pretty inside but in 30 years of membership I've never felt screwed by that company. read more

The cleanliness, top notch equipment and knowledgable staff are only some of the reasons I've decided to stay with UFC. And I would be remiss not to mention Coach Cheli! She has been incredibly supportive in my efforts to achieve my goals. I've made incredible progress in the few months I've been training with her. I was quite impressed by the personable, professional, and friendly staff at UFC Gym Brea. This gym is unlike any other! They provide a cryotherapy, red light, tanning, etc... Slava, the owner, (super friendly!) went out of his way to take us on a tour and introduce us to his staff. The machines are state of the art. This gym is light years ahead of 24hr fitness. There's also a cool juice bar. Octagon and mats for BJJ, as well. I signed up my family tonight and we are looking forward to getting in shape and have fun while doing it. I also had the pleasure to meet with Karim, an associate/coach. He is a genuine person and honest. Everyone that works there looked happy and the members did as well. Let's gooooo! read more

If I could I would give them no stars! Let me start with the restroom they are eh. Very small restroom for a big gym. Janitors don't do a decent job i've seen blood on the bottom near the toilet bowls, the restrooms sometimes smell horrible. The service is mid. Smoothie bar is not even that great for the price you pay for one smoothie. Upstairs is what like gets more packed. The machines are good. The contract is what got me. For some reason my bank would always not let them pull from the account and they would charge me late fees and wouldn't care for a reasoning. I've decided just not to attend anymore because the staff are eh and the gym is just not worth it. They still managed to try to pull money even though i've changed banks and everything to leave this gym! They still managed to swipe the last 16 dollars I had in that account. The gym itself is nice. Sauna, showers, group X room, and locker rooms are always clean. The cleaning staff does a great job. ALWAYS. Beware of all other staff. Staff is the biggest issue here! Every single personal trainer is extremely rude! Mainly the female trainers. Very unfriendly, never welcoming, and always coming off judging members. Some have text me from personal number to invite myself and my girlfriend to their classes or sell us personal training. (Very odd as I did not solicit to this?) They will RUDELY yell at you to get off the turf or simply just start placing weights, kettlebells, or other equipment around you WITHOUT giving you a heads up or warning at all! They have told us not to use a machine because they are planning to use it in 20 min?? Not a good strategy to promote as a trainer dependent on member sales and engagement. (Not everyone takes HIIT classes so don't care to memorize the schedule.) I don't go on weekend so not sure if this issue occurs then as well. There are 4 nice and friendly front desk ladies, Paris, Gabriela, the girl with a lot of tattoos, and the young lady with curly hair as well. Bre and manager Rachel are not friendly whatsoever and are more interested with interacting with their coworkers. Manager Brian is too friendly with myself and my girlfriend whenever we come to take yoga or Zumba classes. A bit too inappropriate for a manager to be acting flirty with younger women at the gym. La Mirada is a better choice since their staff are much friendlier and do not act like they personally own the gym. read more

This location is relatively new, so all of the equipment was in mint condition. I've tried going in the early mornings and after work hours. There is no wait for any of the machines. Wish I could give 0 stars. I tried to cancel. They told me it was canceled. I kept getting charges. I called again and they said I couldn't cancel over the phone so I went in. She said that she canceled it and even sent me an emailed confirmation. 2 weeks later, I got an email saying that they couldn't cancel it because I have an unpaid balance. I have been a member since from the start of this gym a founding member for brea location and I love the way this Gym is run. Very Family like Gaby: at the front desk (love her) always greets everyone by their name and is the friendliest Cassie: is good at everything when shes in recovery shes always cleaning and sanitizing. When i see her managing recovery i know that it's gonna be clean and sanitized. When shes managing the Bar i know my smoothies will taste good. Also very friendly Coach Chelie: I Did Personal training with her and best coach you can ever have to help you reach your goals and really help you push yourself to be the best you can be. Knows a lot about nutrition and helps you stay in track. If you need someone to train you shes the best I love all the HIIT coaches Araceli, Nick, Miranda, Paul are all really good at pushing you to burn those cal and make it fun hard class but worth it.
