Overall, I think this is a solid gym with a lot of potential. The classes are great, they're engaging, well-structured, and give you a good workout whether you're into striking, conditioning, or general fitness. The setup of the gym is also nice, and I really like the variety of bags available. Having different types of bags to train on is a big plus, especially if you're serious about MMA, boxing, or Muay Thai. That being said, there are definitely some areas that need improvement. The weight room section is where I'd have to knock some stars off. Equipment maintenance appears to be a recurring issue. When something breaks, it takes an extended period to get it fixed or even to initiate a work order from what it seems like since I been there or it stays "Out of Order." but for example, since I've been a member, I haven't seen any work done on the sauna that's advertised but has been out of order the entire time as well as a couple of other exercise machines. The cardio machines also feel like they're on their last leg, some of them are clearly worn down. A number of the machines could use updating, and the overall upkeep of the gym (including things like visible holes, wear and tear on the walls) could be better. I'd rate the general maintenance and upkeep around a 4.5/10. On the positive side, I'm still able to get all my workouts in, and the pricing is pretty reasonable for what you get i guess for the building space that it is. I just really have to adjust my workouts. With better maintenance and some updates, this gym could easily be top-tier. Overall: Decent gym with strong classes and training options, but it definitely needs improvements in maintenance and equipment upkeep. Honestly, I can't recommend this gym because of the ongoing issues with upkeep and maintenance. read more

Disclaimer: this review is solely based on the kids classes. I myself am not a member, but my son has been a member since November 2017. My 7 y/o son's skills have improved drastically in the last year and some change and his confidence has skyrocketed! Over the last year the classes have gotten bigger and bigger which I think speaks volumes of the whole coaching staff. Literally every coach in there cares about the kids and it shows so much. They have a class for the kids 6/7 days of the week, in Brazilian jiu jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing so the kids have exposure to all different styles of fighting. It's a very controlled environment so you don't have to worry about the kids going too far, or literally beating the poop out of each other. If that doesn't appeal to you, the conditioning alone is impressive. The kids get a great workout and my son is literally exhausted after every class (small mommy win!) Lastly, there's an adult class that overlaps the children's class so I get so see a snippet of what goes down in the adults classes and I must say I'm super impressed. I personally would LOVE to participate as it seems super inclusive and a great workout!!! Seriously people if you are looking for a gym to go to that will always keep you motivated I feel like this is the place for you! read more

This is one of the bigger UFC gyms in the NOVA area. With that being said there is ample amount of parking and plenty of places nearby to grab a bite to eat afterwards. I have only been here once so I really can't speak of the instructors. The instructor trains at other UFC gyms so I knew what to expect. The equipment here was in decent shape which helps when you are training and don't have to worry about something breaking down on you or even falling on your (aka your bag from that mean left hook). read more

Wonderful! Just wanted to give a shot out to Shawn and Ed for accommodating my family. They travelled from KS, TX, and AR to visit and Shawn gave us a free class! Thank you! I miss going to this gym, but will never set foot there again because of the current manager. First they would not let me out of my month to month contract unless I came in person to sign it. Long story short, the manager was rude and threatened to charge my account for an additional month just because I came in two days past the date I was supposed to have cancelled my contract. Although I called the day of, I was told that this couldn't be done over the phone, which is a policy they implemented to systematically impede your efforts on ending your membership. I felt disgusted and was in disbelief that a manager would cheat their client in such manner. Like I said, I miss going there, but still struggling with how I was treated simply because I wanted out of my contract. I would NEVER recommend them! read more

Sadly, I had nothing but issues while I went to this gym. Each month I kept getting random charges on my card that they could not justify or correct. It kept happening and not a single person there seemed to really care or show any empathy for my money being unauthorized and taken without reason. Needless to say, I've cancelled my membership since. It's not so much the error or inconvenience that upset me with this place. More so, the fact that none of the employees seemed to acknowledge my concern or take the time to address the situation until after I wanted to cancel, and even then they seemed not interested in retaining me as a customer. I'm glad to have rid myself from such a shady place, especially considering how expensive they were. I say, reconsider if you're looking for something different. Consider Crossfit, that's what I'm doing now and I love it and their customer service! read more

I was happy with the gym because I was taking boxing conditioning classes and loved the instructors especially Ricardo who really gets you working out - I always die after that class but in a good way lol I did have a problem regarding cancellation with the gym but they contacted me shortly after and resolved the issue. I would definetly recommend this gym if you are interesting in boxing/kickboxing/Martial arts and want an amazing workout. The gym has some decent equipment too but remember this is mostly a boxing/training gym and not a regular run of the mill gym so if you are looking to just go to gym to workout on treadmills, this is not the place for you. It also runs a bit on the steeper price but you do get results for your money spent IF YOU GO! That's the main part - if you are paying the money, you better go and don't let that membership go to waste. A precaution: they will charge you if you don't cancel your membership IN PERSON 30 days before the day you are leaving. I had a similar problem but it got resolved (probably because I left a review) so keep that in mind. please read this review in full!!!!! franchise locations to dodge like the plague, all owned by tate marshall and his partners, the worst of the worst. arlington ufc woodbridge ufc alexandria ufc herndon ufc and here are a few reasons why: a rack of sheriffs came looking for the owner one time during my workout session. i found human fesus all over the bathroom floor one day, disgusting!! like really? also, 99% of trainers at these ufc franchise gym locations listed above do not have official trainer certifications and most are seriously taking advantage of good people and their money and will to get fit. i have never seen such a filthy gym charge $54-$89 per memberships for absolute nightmare conditions, toilets are always broken, they had water leaking from ceiling into a kiddie pool for months, the front desk are clueless and won't help at all. please, guys, stick to corporate locations when it comes to ufc gyms. night and day difference! just a real warning folks!! smh fml never again!! read more

First and foremost, I would like to mention I've never downloaded the yelp app, let alone written a review. But I absolutely had to upon my experience at the UFC Gym Woodbridge location. I've been here before twice awhile back when it was under a different management, and talk about night and day difference. The previous times I brought two different friends. They were shown around the gym, and almost immediately the discussion about signing up and monthly rates was brought up. My friends mentioned they were interested and would keep their mind open. They felt like the manager or owner was a bit pushy. Needless to say, my friends didn't want to come back, so neither did I. Since then, I believe his name is Eric, the new manager or owner of the gym has completely changed my opinion about the UFC Gym Woodbridge location. Upon just walking in, he greeted my friend and me with a huge smile and from the get go just seemed genuinely happy to see two new faces. He kindly showed us around the gym and told us to enjoy our workout and we can discuss how we felt about the gym after the class. Now I'm a former Marine who prides himself for being in shape, but the kickboxing class whooped my butt. After the class, we worked out a little on our own and Eric checked in on us when we were both literally selecting new songs to work out to. I really appreciated him being so attentive and not interrupting us to talk about memberships during our work out, but instead waited during our little break to simply check in on how we're enjoying then atmosphere. Great customer service. All in all, this gym is a completely different gym than what it used to be. I live 10 minutes from another UFC gym, but don't mind at all to drice hr extra 20 minutes because I know I'm going to get an overall better and longer work out. The new management has made this location fun, motivating, and inspiring to come back to. I will continue to come back everyday and try to bring as many of my friends back. Never I my life did I think I'd enjoy boxing, but here I am! The classes and instructors are great, they answer any and all of my questions! Recently signed up for PT sessions with Derek, and he pushes me just the right amount... Definitely see him for PT! There are many great instructions and lots of class TIMES to choose from which was great for me. Can't make it to the 5:15? No worries there's a 6:30! The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 starts is because the facility could use a little light cleaning, but overall thrilled about my new hobby as a zumba girl turned boxer, haha! read more

This place not only has amazing music to get you going but everyone else around you works hard too. (Not the music with cursing and "f the police" junk..some good pump up stuff) Number of great instructors for classes.. I'm coming off an injury from the police academy so I've only been going 50-60% in these classes and I'm still walking out feeling like I had a killer workout. My favorite at the moment is the kick boxing and boxing classes. Not to drag on because I personally hate long yelp reviews.. Eric (one of the new owners) has been great helping me choose the right session to join and setting me up. Definitely going to continue my membership here. Honestly.. I highly recommend this!! And it's a cheap membership too for unlimited classes. BEST GYM AROUND! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER THAN CROSSFIT! I've been a member for almost 7 years... I am a civilian Marine and needed a work out to kick my rear in gear and help me get rid of my baby weight.. well I just did that and then some! I've found if you can be disciplined enough to get to class at LEAST 3 x's a week, you WILL see results. I needed a day in between to recoup my muscles so I could come fresh to the next class. Each instructor is different so find which is best for you. They motivate and support you with your goals. It's all up to how much you want to get out of it. I became so into it that I would stay sometimes for the next class and double up. The atmosphere is great, it's not a meat market... it's normal people trying to shed some lbs. TRY IT OUT, I've had 4 friends join in the time i've been a member and they all love it and say it's the best thing that's happened to them! Now I'm back at it again trying to loose another set of baby left over pounds but have NO DOUBT I can shed it coming to class 3 x's a week! Two stars = "Meh. I've experienced better." and I have. I was with the UFC Gym in Honolulu, HI for two years & it was the best gym I've ever been to in my life - a super gym if you will. It was like a massive Gold's Gym, with crossfit & turf section, a full heavy bag room, wrestling/bjj mats, cage, great instructors, more classes, etc. Now, I understand that this UFC Gym in Woodbridge is just a LA Boxing gym absorbed & turned into a UFC Gym, so the size & lack of equipment wasn't my issue. My issue was that they charge the same membership prices for this little tiny gym, that didn't even have a squat rack, the same amount that they charge back in Hawaii for a supergym. Actually, they charge more! Because in Hawaii they had a membership option for just using the facility (no classes) and it was only $35-$45. Here the minimum was $60. This gym hardly has any of the amenities that other gyms in the area have, but charges at minimum, double the price. I'm sure they like to think it's because they have instructors teaching you MMA, but really... other gyms have instructors for their fitness programs & yoga, etc, so what's the difference? read more

If i could give this place NO STARS I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!! THEY ARE THIEVES. I cancelled this account back in APRIL 2017 and they are STILL CHARGING MY bank account. WE have cancelled multiple cards to avoid them charging and some how they are are still scamming money from us. My son hasn't taken a class there since APRIL!! I've contact my bank and placed fraudulent charges against them. I will be calling their corporate office today (which the first time this happened they were zero help.) I'd really like to not have to show up there. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! DO NOT GO. HORRIBLE. Not even a great gym to begin with. Best way to workout around! Classes are never boring as the trainers are always adding cool new exercises that maximize your workout and keep things interesting. I've also noticed that my actual boxing and kickboxing technique is getting better and better without even thinking about it. Also, since the classes are so fun and they have good music pumping the hour class just flies by even though you're working your butt off the whole time. I've tried every workout available but this place is by far the best! read more
