We started our three year old daughter in the kids program about three months ago. At first we were nervous that it was too overwhelming for her since she is beyond timid and was even afraid to step onto the mat for weeks. Little by little each Coach Mary and Professor Sladjana made her feel so comfortable and broke through her wall. She now begs to go to class and even received her first stripe promotion a couple weeks back and understands a ton of technical moves already. Professor Christian and coach Marcos are very great. They're so detailed in what they teach. Honestly it's a complex martial art but it's the little details that make a difference. I would say this now being almost 2 months in the gym, I feel so confident in myself and healthier. I lost a lot of belly fat. The people are very nice. You roll with anyone and they'll teach you a lot. You ask them for help and they will help out too. I had some people stay 5-10mim after class to show me moves or better ways to do certain moved etc. highly commend this place. read more

Great Place to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Joining Uflacker Academy has been a life changing decision for me! I did a few months of research before choosing Uflacker Academy and I am very lucky I found this school. It is rare to find blackbelts actually teaching, let alone a third degree blackbelt and bjj world champion (Professor Christian Xarophino Uflacker) teaching adult and kids classes! This is a great learning environment for men, women and children. Everyone learns and absorbs information differently but I feel as though the entire staff has done a great job adapting to every students learning style and have created a very family friendly environment that everyone would look forward to going to everyday. With Professor Christian's pedigree he could sit on the sidelines and just tell people what to do but he is very hands on, very humble and a great person. this school has horrible owners, the owner never showed to any of my sons competitions to show his support, his wife has horrible people skills, she's rude and she's the one you deal with for the tuition, she's always blaming the bank for mistakes that occurred at many different times with the tuition, when we lost a family member & let her know my son wouldn't be able to attend she not once was sympathetic, as much as i tried to avoid her, i still had to deal with her b/c she continued on charging my acct even after the fact i had signed and canceled the classes, worst school to deal with the finances and like i said owner never showed any support for competitions and my son was state champion! i believe the owner is all about himself! read more

One of thing that stood out for me at this facility was the closeness between all the members. Everyone was really welcoming and eager to learn and share knowledge. Prof. Christian provides some of the highest level instruction world wide. He does a great job of working with beginners all the way up to advanced belts.
