Literally everything to help my pain. I have spent so much money in pain management. All they did for me today was give me pain pills which I didn't want at all bc I can't even take them at work. I want it fixed. Not a bandaid. He said my extreme pain was "Headaches." Really? I know my own body and this isn't a headache or even a migraine. I wasted $100 and time off my job to be pushed off to another doctor. Yet again. I have been doing this dance from spinal to neuro, to spinal to neuro. I felt 0 sympathy or validation, like I was just another $. The only people who were nice to me were his PA, and the assistants. They were kind and actually listened. They validated my concerns. He referred me to neurology. When I asked him what they could do, he shrugged and said "I don't know, I'm not a neurologist." Don't waste your time or money.

My previous surgeon who had removed a cyst from my L4/5 spine wouldn't even get me in for an appointment for almost two months. My chiropractor, Dr. Price, at MVMT chiropractic text Dr. Badlani and they had me in for an appointment within a day. Dr Badlani recommended LTIF surgery which he was able to schedule for the following week provided my insurance would give the pre-authorizaton in time for the surgery. This is where Cheryl went into action. She was able to provide all documents to the insurance and get the approval accomplished in just two days. The surgery was performed at a small private hospital instead of a large more crowded hospital. I did my post op PT at Dr. Badlani's location at Orthopedic Sports medicine and again they handled all of the insurance filing so I could just concentrate on my health and recovery. 8 weeks post surgery and I have great results. I can't thank Dr. Badlani, Cheryl and the entire staff enough for showing compassion and efficiency in helping me with my entire situation.

First of all, there's nobody in Southern NM who knows how to do partials. I would have had two total knee replacements if I hadn't found Dr. Matthews. I was walking on my own after one week. The PT place in Ruidoso said they've never seen anyone do that. Dr. Mathews was a gift from God. I highly recommend him. I was only to have physical therapy at home to insure no possibility of infection. The Home Health group they suggest employs genuine quality professionals. Other rehab is out of the question due to the numerous contacts the nurses have with all the rehab patients. It was a little difficult to accept until I learn the alternative. If my knee gets infected they must remove the prosthesis until there is no longer an infection. Then they reinsert the prosthesis. Quel Désastre!!! A very dear friend of my Mother's passed away from a knee replacement infection. Dr. VM has an excellent staff and is well respect. His nurse Sara is one of my favorites. I'm 69 years old. For about six months I noticed that I was getting kind of wobbly and would fall…read moredown often. For example if I was in the shower and closed my eyes I would start leaning and unless I opened my eyes and grabbed onto something I would fall down. This got worse and worse. I sought help and was referred to Dr. Meyer. It turned out that I had a severe stenosis in my neck. Dr. Meyer performed an operation in which he came in through my throat and installed two clip-like spacers to separate two of the vertebra. He took some bone from my hip and grafted into the area of repair. He also came in through the back of my neck, from the scar it looks like he did most of the work from there. It's been over a year now and ever since the operation I no longer start leaning and falling. Aside from the normal post-operative recuperation I have had absolutely zero pain and have not taken one pain med. I have full range of motion with my neck. Sometimes when I tuck my chin down I can feel something inside but that's about the only thing I notice from the operation. Dr. Meyer has an excellent bedside manner. You can tell he enjoys his work in making people's lives better. The staff and nurses were great also. I never had any problems making follow-up appointments. Surgeons are like anyone else. There's good ones and then there are really good ones, and Dr. Meyer is really good at wat he does.

I recently was scheduled for spinal surgery which I dreaded. Every time I have surgery it takes me…read moremonths to recuperate from the negative effects of the anesthesia. In addition, everyone I know who has had back surgery complains for years about the ongoing pain. Needless to say, the day arrived for my surgery and I was petrified. Dr. Roeser, Board Certified in Neurosurgery and graduated from Baylor Medical School with High Honors, was very reassuring and calming which really gave me confidence in Dr. Roeser and the procedure. Once I woke up from the anesthesia I could not believe that the surgery had already taken place. My friends had also forewarned me that within a few days, when the anesthesia wears off, I would experience severe pain. I experienced a low grade pain that was easily abated with my ibuprofen for arthritis. I was provided with a walker that I only needed to use for a couple of days. Now I realize why Dr. Roeser had been so highly recommended by several doctors. After my personal experience with him I can understand the reason he is so well regarded in the medical community. I thank Dr. Roeser for making my life so pain free. He is a fabulous surgeon!

Needless to say, he ended up back in the hospital and our Infectious Disease physician recommended Dr. Shobowale ... Dr. Shobowale is kind, compassionate and truly cares about YOU! I left and rescheduled for the next week. I arrived on time and once I approached the desk I was told once again the doctor could not see me, no apology or explanation, once again. This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, and these people have no respect for your time. I value my time and theirs, that's why I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointments. This level of disrespect is unacceptable.

Be sure to bring a book or homework/real work to keep yourself busy while you sit in the examination room. If they could decrease waiting time, they would be a solid 5-star office.
