Ukami is always a must for us when in tulum! There food looks just as good as it tastes! The quality of sushi is top tier and so much flavor. Everything is just so thought out. We always get the shrimp tacos and change up the rolls. Never had anything bad. Highly recommend!!!

Freaking fantastic sushi and the rock shrimp tacos and octopus tacos were the stuff of dreams. Tasting menu is worth it as they upsold us and included 2 rounds of cocktails. Outside of the menu that cocktails were stupid expensive. 20 bucks for a martini in Mexico ain't cute. However great vibes, great service was about $400 dollars for 2 people.

Found this place off a YouTube video ! The service here is great ! Delicious food, great music, great ambiance I forgot to take a pic of my veggi noodles they were so good !!!

    teppanyakis with octopus

highly recommend this place if you have chance to visit. Staff is very nice and friendly. Food tastes delicious. We walked here every night for dinner during staying, it's just across street from where we stayed, Coco unlimited. I had teppanyakis and requested add tomatoes because I can't eat other veggies, the Chef made my dish look pretty.

I LOVED THIS PLACE SO MUCH, we ate here twice!!! Very welcoming staff and owner! Highly recommend eating - Yuca Gyoza // Ta Chi Lozo // Arigato - and really anything else. We didn't have one thing we didn't like! Also LOVED the hand rolls!!! :) **Please open a location in the states!!!**

Best sushi, authentic atmosphere and slow service. Fun and good food! The owners are very chill as well.

Amazing place! We visited with our two young children and the staff were incredible! Delicious sushi!! We enjoyed the Mexican sake (being from California we know a good sake when we have one) and the dishes were amazing! From the oysters to the rolls. Highly recommend! Worth the money!

Hands down one of the best meals I have had in Tulum meets some of the best sushi I have had - Nobu, please step aside. The place is run by Spencer who really takes care of you - since it's his place! I would highly recommend omakase experience where he will keep feeding you not only sushi with amazing Mayan flavors on what i call a 'sushi catwalk' (see photo), but also a plethora of appetizers with flavors and accents one can not describe in a post. Let's just say this - we had dinner at Hartwood the night before and I say Ukami gives it a run for its ranking easily. Well done, Spencer and Ukami team - please keep the Jungle alive!

Ukami Is a refreshing Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant. After eating at all the famed joints in Tulum for two weeks, we decidedly rate Ukami our top choice in terms of food quality, ingenuity and price. The mayapanese miso is exceptional and deserves a Michelin star by itself. The staff cares about your food like you don't normally see in other restaurants. Try the tuna tostada, the omakase, and absolutely don't miss the mayapanese miso plus. Kudos to Spenser the owner, Kai and Barbie!!!

I was in Tulum on vacation and decided to come here on my last night. It was AMAZING! The ambience was really nice and the food was delicious. I ordered the passion fruit margarita and it came in a shark cup (so cute)! I recommend the Arigato roll which has to be the best thing I've ever eaten! The Spicy Edamame and Famous Rock Shrimp Taco were 10/10. I wish I remember everything we ate but everything we ordered was great! I wish my stomach was bigger so I could have ordered more. I will be coming back to Tulum just so I can eat here. Also, if this places decides to expand please choose LA!

Chicken stir fry style plate. Not sure the exact name.

This place is super cute. It was directly across the street from our hotel at Coco limited so we decided to try it. Can I just say we were not disappointed. I for one, do not like sushi, seafood period, onions, or garlic (I know what your thinking "why did I go there?") for 1 my travel companions forced me! They all love sushi! They ordered different types and loved it all. We also ordered edamame, miso soup, and I ordered a chicken stir fry type plate. Sorry can't remember the actual name. With a special request of no onion or garlic and even my companions loved it. It was my sisters birthday so they brought the entire party a round of tequila shot to celebrate. The owner was there and was very attentive. He made you feel as if you were childhood friends.

We weren't planning on eating Japense food in Mexico, but a few of our friends watched a bunch of YouTube videos about Japense food at our air bnb and started to crave it- so we ended up here for dinner one night! Best decision ever. This restaurant is a Japanese-Mayan (Mayapanese) fusion and was absolutely delicious. The sushi rolls and bowls were very unique and tasty. The drinks were amazing as well. The ambiance is very hip and chill. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! Our server was very attentive and always made sure we were doing well. The bartender was awesome and kept pouring shots and drinks for us and let us choose whatever music we wanted to listen to. We had a great time laughing and drinking the whole night. Def recommend for a delicious meal and a fun/chill night out.

We ate here after a very long travel day. They were open late and close to where we are staying. Great friendly service. Nice selection on the menu. The edamame, miso soup, and cut roles were top quality. My wife had the catch of the day skewers. She was very happy.

Food and service is good, but the location right off the main road definitely detracts from an otherwise tasty meal.

These are two different locations. The service is just ok. We were seated but never approached. I had to wave the server down whenever we needed him. Food.... Salivating! We ordered the rock shrimp, spicy filet and the ribeye. The rock shrimp were just ok however both steaks melt in your mouth! The rib eye comes out on a grill and you can cook it to your liking. Very Smokey but very delicious. The energy was very high late at night. It's definitely a celebration.

My group decided to check this place out after eating at Gitano, which was right across the street. Before even leaving Gitano, you can hear the music from Tora blaring all down the entire street. It was loud and super vibey. This is what you think of, when someone says "Tulum Party." The 6 of us got seated at a table. We only ordered drinks as we had just had dinner. We were then offered some sparklers from some of the staff there. We grabbed them and started dancing on the tables and having the best time of our life. It felt like we were in a music video. We had such a good time!!! While I can't remember the name of the drink I got, it was pretty good. The DJ plays great music, and has everyone moving left to right. This was like a club on steroids. The two downsides I have of this place are that it's extremely expensive. I think my drink cost about $25-$30 USD. That's ridiculous. But you have to expect that if you are on this street. All the places are extremely expensive and you are paying for the experience more than anything. The second downside is that if you go to the restroom while you are here, you will be offered drugs. I think that happened to us on more than one occasion, not only at Tora but everywhere else in Tulum. So just be cautious at all times. Apart from those two things, Tora is a pretty fun spot. I wouldn't go back though, simply because that whole environment is very stressful, it's way too expensive, and the traffic on the street is insane. It's a two way street that gets congested from 10pm-4am pretty much every night. However, many people do enjoy the place, so to each their own!

The sushi itself was average & overpriced - but it was still tasty & visually appealing & a good choice for a meal on a super hot day. The server was very enthusiastic & very involved in our meal. We also tried a peach sake which was delicious but once I realized it tasted like peach Burnett's ... It was over. Cozumel Dreaming is located in a nice central location which makes it a handy option for a quick meal. I would probably choose other restaurant options before this one, but if you have a hankering for sushi specifically, then this is definitely the place to go. The biggest thing that they could improve immediately would be the rice. The rice is almost inedible. How is it crunchy and lumpy at the same time? The texture made me gag multiple times. I believe good sushi doesn't need soy sauce. Well this sushi needed Diet Coke with every bite. The service was nice and enthusiastic about the menu. I couldn't tell her the truth about the food so when we got to the last roll and literally couldn't stomach more I said wed eaten too much and I'd just pay the uneaten roll charge. Some introspection in the kitchen could go a long way for this place mostly starting with the rice but literally none of the food was very good and all of it was overcooked. The mussels were chewy and gross. If you insist on trying this place do a single nigiri a la carte before you commit to the ayce. You'll thank me for saving your stomach and your wallet. To be clear, none of the food made me sick after eating it but it was physically difficult to eat while I was there.
