Being from out of state, I'm so happy to have this resource within a somewhat close proximity. The location is pretty easy to find and luckily there was plenty of metered street parking available. The instructor was really thorough, I felt, and she was well prepared for the larger class of about 20 people. I enjoyed myself, and had fun interacting with others at our work table. There's always different classes being offered, listed on their website and on Eventbrite. I'm definitely interested in trying more as time permits.

There is also a great display of the city as well as a Wrigley ballpark exhibit. Unfortunately, the upstairs is currently being renovated, so there was not a lot to see this trip. The museum here is quite impressive, with a nicely designed, brightly lit, attractive display of art, artifacts, and well constructed set of displays. With the spacious layout, it's easy to believe that you're in one of the major museums downtown, except that this place is not crowded at all so you can take your time to really read and learn about Korean Culture. There is also a library, event hall, class rooms, and outdoor sculptures to look at as well. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the area. The center is well maintained and you're sure to learn something, especially with the rotating art exhibits.

The art institute is huge and covers a wide variety of different styles. It's a big place so expect to spend some time here. Honestly a great show, I've been to some really bad stand up before and I was impressed by each of the comedians. There is a two drink minimum per person - alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Not a big deal to us since we were in the mood for a drink and didn't pay for tickets, but something to note if you're coming to a paid show. There's a lot of open seating as well, and all were in great view of the stage. The venue is fairly large while still feeling pretty intimate. If you're a fan of comedy I'd definitely recommend a stand-up show, and I'll probably be back to check out one of the paid ones!

If I had paid more, I think I would have been a little disappointed. They offer tours throughout the day and I wish I had joined one. There is a little bit of signage throughout, but I think I would have gotten more out of it with a guide. The bathrooms are located in the basement and they are spotlessly clean. There is a small gift shop on the third floor which has a variety of nice Chicago and gilded age themed gifts. Driehaus Museum was truly a feast for the eyes. I'm not sure I'll come back, as I feel like I've seen what I needed to see, but I'm glad I stopped in. It is beautiful!

Chicago has a bunch of these smaller niche museum, but I thought this one was one of the better ones. It's an an historic house that would have overlooked the Lake before LSD existed. The exhibits were all pretty good, but my favorite was eye care. They had some great optometry artifacts and a collection of sunglasses over the years. They also have quite a bit of original art, mostly in sculpture form which is both odd, but still important. Another thing I liked was that it wasn't overly graphic. There's a plastic surgery section that has a few slightly unsettling portraits of people maimed during WWI. I mean, I kind of felt more bad for those poor people which I think was the point. If I were to give it all a rating, it's a light PG13. If there are any downsides, the place is a little on the expensive side for its size, but they're constantly running events that include admittance. They also seem to lean on some kind of artist or researcher that does a lot of dream stuff. I didn't like his stuff as much. Also, the sections are a little disorganized, but that might be spacing in issues. Either way, this was a pretty interesting place. I'm betting they do an awesome Halloween event because it's a little spooky, but all educational. The gift shop is neat too!

Its great for halloween for things that go bump in the night. The second floor library is impressive reading to health related books. The adjoining room is filled with tall statues with histories related to medicine and health.
