The staff was wonderful at Ulrich especially Molly Barrios who worked with us on our order. We looked at four other companies for construction of a 10 by 12 foot mini-barn for backyard storage and liked Ulrich for their attentive service, flexibility of floor plans and attractive design options. The barn was assembled quickly on site and within half a day, it was completed. We are extremely happy with the results. The area around the barn was well cleaned up after completion and the two assembly workers even used a metal detector to search for nails left on site! We highly recommend this company. read more

I live in San Jose, CA, so I wasn't sure how the process for building a prefab garage a few hundred miles away from Dry Creek Mini Barns would go. I had gotten quotes from some local builders for a ground up garage that were so expensive. Then, I started to look into a prefab garage and found Dry Creek and they were willing to make the trek from the Central Valley up to San Jose to build for me. Their pricing was a fraction of what a ground-up building would have cost. Short explanation: The garage came out great, despite an insanely long design and permitting process. I love the garage and it looks incredible. The builders were fantastic. Longer explanation: The sales and design process was pretty smooth. I was able to get a quote quickly from Will and a preliminary design done. I ran into some hiccups getting my permit through the city of SJ. The main issue here was that any changes that I needed Dry Creek to make required a long turnaround time, since I had to explain the changes and then Dry Creek had to re-draw and snail mail the new drawings to me. The city of San Jose was slow to respond to my changes that I turned in, so any changes that I need to submit took about three weeks. This happened several times, so every change was an additional three weeks. Another hiccup was that I had asked Dry Creek to pour the foundation for me, as a line item in my sales agreement. When the time came to begin this, Dry Creek was unable to find a local contractor to pour the foundation. It was put on me to find a local concrete contractor to do this. I got three quotes for a foundation, two of which were astronomically higher than what Dry Creek had quoted me. Luckily, my third quote was a decent price and I was able to get my foundation poured. Once the foundation was sorted out, then Dry Creek sent their traveling crew to build the garage. These guys were AWESOME. They arrived in a truck with my disassembled garage on the grailer and they assembled it quickly! They framed out the garage in 3 days. I had to get an inspection after that. After the inspection was complete, the crew came back and completed the rest of the work in 3 more days. Zach at the office was great with communicating with me and providing updates throughout the whole build process. My garage just got signed off through the city of San Jose, so I am so happy to have my completed garage! read more

You may sell & build a great product!! However, you treat your employees like crap!! Management lacks management skills!! Every time there was a job, they forgot the materials or provided incorrect materials!! Some guys would walk off the job leaving the employee I'm referencing by himself!! Obviously, he had to leave the job site & therefore wasn't compensated for the entire day!! You may want to reconsider your staff!! You may want to reconsider on restructuring your company!! I supervised a construction crew for 7 years & I would never conduct business the way you guys do!!!! Why is your turnover rate so high? Due to incompetency!!!! Shame on this company!!!! read more

Our experience with Ulrich started with James at the Bakersfield location. He was attentive and informative and helped us with the purchase of our two sheds. We were then introduced to Zach who helped set up the logistics for our delivery. Zach was responsive to every question we had and set up our delivery to meet our tight schedule. On the day of our delivery we met Javier and Tom. I have to admit we had our doubts that these two sheds would ever end up on our property on Bear Mountain. I have bought two buildings from Dry Creek Mini Barn. The smaller 8x10 building that they built off site was great! Has held up the past 10 yrs. On Wednesday August 1, 2012 Dry Creek Mini-Barns (their main Arvin, CA outlet) did an On-Site construction of a 10' X 12' California Classic Presidential series Barn on our property (for a total cost of $4435.05). When I inspected the finished barn over the next few days I found literally over 54 examples of shoddy workmanship. These examples include split and compromised pieces of wood, nails that poke through the ceiling, walls, and boards, places where the wall wasn't properly nailed to vertical 2 X 4s (the workers missed the 2 x 4s completely and didn't notice their mistake), places where their power tools gouged into the wood and just some cosmetic issues. On August 3rd I emailed my concerns with photos (we took pictures of each issue) to the contact at the main office. In addition to the shoddy workmanship I wanted them to address the issues in regards to whether or not it was structurally sound, whether the nails poking through the roof would cause leaks, etc. I was told that I would have an answer by the next week. On August 9th I emailed again and was told that the salesperson would be talking with the owner and manufacture manager on Monday the 13th about our concerns. I didn't hear anything back from the salesperson, the owner or anyone else at Dry Creek. I emailed again on August 21 (over a week from the supposed meeting about our issues) and asked for an update of some kind. I still haven't heard back from anyone at Dry Creek Mini-Barns about any of our concerns or issues. We've met with a few contractors who have verified that in addition to the sharp nails which should be cut to not be a hazard, there are places where replacement nails should be added to fully attach the back wall. Those plus some cosmetic filling of holes and gouges in the wood would cost us another roughly $300-$500. This is to fix problems that the manufacturers caused in a product that was almost $4500.00. We are incredibly disappointed and angry at this unacceptable way of doing business and we have opened a complaint with the BBB. We cannot and will not recommend Dry Creek in any fashion. read more

I purchased a "Barn Garage" from Dry Creek Mini Barns and couldn't be more happy. The customer service was amazing. From the first time we saw the barn online, everyone we spoke with and worked with was very helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way to set up a delivery date that worked for us and when it was delivered, the man who brought it did all he could to make sure that we were satisfied with the building and the placement. About a month after we received it I contacted them to get paint colors from the barn to paint a garden shed to match and they supplied me with all the info I needed.
