Review Visit: March 17th, 2015 I will admit. I have been to Ulrich's many, many times. Drunk, sober and everything in-between. As you can imagine, Ulrich's is an irish-themed Pub that serves up a great selection of food and a varied selection of alcohol. You want, you can most likely order it here. My personal favorite is their grilled chicken sandwich. It's the juiciest grilled chicken I have ever had. The cool thing about Ulrich's is the grill is behind the bar, so you can literally watch the chef cook your food from 5 feet away... just be warned... if it's a busy day, the single chef/grill does get swamped and your order can take awhile. But it's worth the wait! My friends and I used to come here for Burger Monday. I miss those days. Anyways, on Mondays, they had an equally juicy burger for $3 or $3.50. Not sure if they still have that deal, but it's easily a $10 burger for dirt cheap. If you pop in on a Friday and Saturday night, you can expect it to be crammed full. That is about the only negative I have to say about the place. It's a very narrow/long bar, so you get a handful of people in there and it can be a pain to navigate. So if you want to eat, visit during the week night and if you want to drink only, visit any time! I probably sound a bit biased since I have been there so many times and have lots of great memories there... but it really is truly a great Peoria, IL staple.

This Irish Pub was a very busy place. We ate their multiple times. You walk in and know that you are in an Irish Pub from all of the decorations. There was limited seating. The server remembered us. She told us to sit at the bar and as soon as a table comes available that she would get it for us. The mahe great burgers and fries. If you are in Peoria you have got to try them. It is in walking distance from the Marriott Downtown.

Comfy, little Irish pub downtown that specializes in burgers, but also has sandwich and pizza options. Flattop grill and fryer sits behind the bar with two grill cooks at the ready. I sat at the bar this evening as the limited amount of tables they have were all occupied. I had the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich and it was fantastic, albeit a bit messy to eat. Their hand cut fries are also good. They have a full bar with about a dozen draft beer offerings. They offer no options for dessert (perhaps another beer?!).

Yum - the best breaded chicken salad ever. The romaine was fresh and crisp and the breaded chicken was plentiful and seasoned just right.

Wonderful food - we will definitely be back. Would have been five stars, but the kitchen is small and we had to wait a bit for our food. Right now it is only open two days for lunch, and the post-Covid prices are higher than what shows online.

Some things are soooo good, they need no updating!

So I used to haunt this place 1996-2000 when it was called ZZ Popps. What a great night, late-night & downtown spot! Food is very good! French fries are hand-cut but authentic & crispy! Tuna & other proteins are hearty, flavorful and well-prepared on a seasoned grill! And a nice selection of beers. Could be improved with some better, local selections on draght, and a good tequila, Suavecito? All in all, a good trip back in time!

Best Irish bar I've been in! Food was great and awesome service! Highly recommend. I had the burger with pepper jack. Amazing!

    Ribeye Sandwich...obnoxious and amazing!

Great dive bar vibe in heart of Peoria. Great atmosphere and food to kick. Had the 8oz ribeye sandwich with cheese fries. Decadent and amazing. Steak perfectly cooked and "skin-on" fries w/ cheese were a perfect compliment. Also had the wings which were very good. Not the style that I prefer but they did not disappoint. Good meal. Very good service. Two thumbs up!

Chips were ok and dip was limited but tasty artichoke flavors

Whoo. This was a rough one. From the moment we walked in, things felt off. We told a server we'd…read morelike to dine in, and she looked genuinely puzzled, muttered something unintelligible, and vaguely pointed across the room for us to seat ourselves. There was only one other occupied table--a group of six young men--and a few people at the bar, so it wasn't busy. Our food came out fairly quickly, which was one of the few positives. My partner ordered the bison burger because he'd never tried one before. I grew up eating bison and know what a properly cooked bison burger should be like. This one was incredibly dry,far drier than it should have been. Unfortunately, our server disappeared after dropping off the food. She never returned to check whether everything was correct, ask if we needed anything, or see how the meal was. We waited and waited, but she never came back. Eventually my partner went to the bar and asked to speak with the manager. When the manager came to our table, it turned out to be our server. The same server who had ignored us while spending plenty of time chatting and flirting with the table of young men. She approached carrying the check, not asking what the issue was or how she could help. When we explained that the burger was extremely dry, she argued that it didn't look dry to her. I spoke up because I had tried it too, and it absolutely was dry. Then she claimed that bison burgers are *supposed* to be dry. If that's the case, why argue that it wasn't dry in the first place? After a back-and-forth discussion, she finally agreed to let my partner order something else. The bigger issue, though, was the service. In my 50-plus years, this was one of the most unfriendly and unprofessional server/manager interactions I've ever experienced. It takes a lot for me to complain or argue with restaurant staff, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish. This was our first visit to Khaki Jack's, and unfortunately it will also be our last.

And we highly recommend a visit, especially if you are familiar with the brand! Like the BloNo location there are at least two entrances - the one further west is for a good sized hosting/ordering/waiting area while the one closest to the ballpark has more direct access to the bar area, but is way more space-restricted and will likely be a traffic jam on game days. If you're looking for a table, both entrances open to the rest of the cool 'industrial chic' dining areas in the form of a large street-level open concept dining area and a good sized split-level (up 3-4 steps) back room - which despite having wide entrances that make it feel part of the larger space, likely can easily be cordoned-off for private functions. One visit in and the lady and I (plus our friend and former Ptown bartender) can say that the food was every bit the same top-quality, large portion, methodically cooked and creatively accented sandwiches and wraps, served in old school pie pans with red-white check paper liners, that we are used to. The weekend special shaved ribeye Cali burrito was particularly epic, cementing what seems to be the first of the 3 or 4 things that keep the crowds coming back. The second thing is the creativity and discernment applied to bar side - in the form of the beer menu, which is initially focused on bottles/cans since they just received the liquor license the day before our arrival. Despite this there was a good mix of 'domestics' and at least 20 quality craft options from 6 or 8 fantastic breweries representing a good variety of styles but leaning like those at the original location - that is, a few more IPAs and 'sweet sours'. They also maintain a thoughtful and inventive cocktail list and will NO DOUBT start building up the whiskey/bourbon collection in the coming weeks. Although having high quality and fairly compensated employees helps immensely, the last thing that really drives their business is something we often say three times - location... In this case, it's literally less than a block from home plate. Easy to find. Easy to love. We'll certainly be back!

Seeing the constant influx of customers right at supper time told me this place has to be good. Everything is sold separately and they have a little bit of something for everyone. Honestly, I could probably have used a few more pickles but that's me. You can choose your heat level too. The potatoes with dill were so good! Portions are decent too. I saw someone leaving with what looked like a milkshake that I'm getting next time. It looked like the perfect way to cool off on there hot summer days. I think I'll have to try a burger next time.
