In general, I like Ulta, but the way I was treated at this location has soured my opinion. The manager at this location needs some retraining in customer service. She was very condescending and sarcastic when speaking to me and refused to help me. After leaving the store, I contacted a different Ulta location. The manager there was very professional and invited me to come to her store, which I did and she personally helped me resolve my issue. IF I try Ulta again, it will be there, not Cedar Hill. I would advise customers to avoid the Cedar Hill location at all costs. read more

Made an appointment for our 11 yo daughter to get a wash and blow dry. A young woman who worked there came over and shared that somehow the appointment got double booked and she needed to check with someone else to see if they can work something out. The manager Amanda or (Samantha?) was rude, flippant, smug and condescending. She came over and first of all called me 'hun' which was unprofessional but I overlooked it. I'm guessing that she didn't know the other woman already told us the appt was double booked because she said, "well because 'lovely' (referring to my daughter - whose name is not 'lovely' which now I took as condescending bc of the 'hun' comment but again, in my effort to just get it handled I overlooked it) "well because 'lovely' has so much hair we really don't have enough time to do that service." And she said some other things to the effect of 'we didn't allot that time for someone with such thick hair'. My wife at that point told her no, it's not because she has so much hair, it's because you double booked which this young lady already told us. She looked at the woman who shared that info for a moment clearly thrown but doubled down. She went back and forth with my wife for a second and then looked at me and said I'd like to just speak with you. To which I replied "uh no we are the same. That's my wife. If you speaking to her you're speaking to me and vice versa." She then said they could move the appointment to 4:30 which was too late for us and she said she was trying to 'compromise' with us. What?! Compromise with us?! She said it wasn't their fault that the system double booked us and basically blamed my daughter's thick hair for the appointment having to be moved. Like she doing us a favour! My wife at that point told her about herself very clearly - no cussing or yelling or name calling but definitely clarity. And she replied, "You should be happy I'm trying to help you. I could say we can't take her at all!" That was when I decided I should go ahead and do my baby's hair myself and we should go before we lose our spot in the Heavens. I'd never been to ulta for a service. I booked this appt last minute bc my daughter has a dance to go to tonight and I'm having allergies that are affecting my eye sight. Figured it would be better to try and get someone to do it. Not impressed with how one of the employees, that was a male, how he was dressed. He was wearing a cape and looked like a witch. Would've never thought an employee of Ulta Beauty, and this is in March, Not Halloween. That was just plain ridiculous. Bad representation read more

This store often has poor service but TODAY they were really into getting paid for nothing on their overpriced items. We milled around and picked up items and decided to ask our questions when " we found" someone who worked there. We spoke to 2 people to let us know they did not work there. We found something me and asked for help in the fragrances. She said to wait at the front. After waiting at the front a while. I left my basket. My niece continued to wait when I asked loudly if anyone worked there. When someone said yes she went to check on the fragrance. All of that to not have the item. Disgusting service. This was 2:00 in the afternoon. The person in the salon told us "You NEED to go to the front and tell them"!! Go to Target. Skip this poorly run place. read more

Store is clean, pretty stocked and associates are helpful and kind. Great location. I found everything i was looking for and when an item was out of stock the associate offered to order the item online for me with free shipping. cashier was kind and fast, and educated me in the rewards system read more

When I tell an associate at ULTA that an item is marked $21.99 instead of $24.99 charged, I don't think a giggle & turning away to another customer is an appropriate response. Bad business decision on Ulta's part. Saying that you're going to tell the manager is something, but saying that you'll call the manager to come talk to me immediately would be much better. read more

one of the workers seemed rude and kinda lazy. she was a younger black girl with short hair, i think her name was Brandi. i was paying at the cash register and had asked her a question about a specific setting powder & if they had any and she just said oh there's some over there & just pointed to a random spot. i told her i didn't see any but online it said they were in stock & she just said idk, there's mini ones behind you & kinda just rushed me out. mind you, it was NOT busy & i only asked because there wasn't really a line but one person behind me so i knew i wasn't taking up time or holding up the line. so she didn't have to rush me out like that or could've been like "oh i work here so let me just check if we do have some in stock or not & show you exactly where they are if we do have some" you know as someone who should be doing their job. i would've asked someone on the floor but it was basically empty. there was a couple ppl on register but that was it. there wasn't anyone on the floor to help except one guy and he was busy on the other side of the store helping someone read more
