Most of the positive reviews here are fake. If you've had a good experience here, you're lucky. As in, I have a 5 year old daughter at home who frequently wants to apply various lip glosses to my lips, but if I get within ten feet of them, I break out in sores around my mouth. So, I am constantly looking for a brand of lip gloss that won't induce an allergic reaction. I recently picked this brand up after seeing their 100% Natural, certified organic labeling and thought I'd give them a try. The best thing about the Mongo Kiss Vanilla Honey balm (named for it's mongongo oil ingredient) is that it really smells like true beeswax. I also enjoy that the scent is subtle and yet the stick smells nice. The balm dispenser is also quite thick which makes it easy to apply and provides a lot more long lasting coverage. Because it is so natural, be careful not to leave it in a car for too long. Probably the best things about the stick is all the causes that the brand supports: Cruelty free, GMO Free, Gluten Free, and wind-powered? What's not to love.

Overall I'd count on them again to get me my prescriptions and for odds and ends.

I'm leaving this as a 4-star review only because I have an expectation of longer hours (I was told everyone was fully booked, but Sam was the only person working on Saturday at 2 PM; I walked in fully expecting a bustling shop full of stylists and patrons), quicker call-back for an appointment (I got a text a day after I called for an appointment; my expectation is within an hour of inquirty), and a tidier shop (the shop is clean but kind of messy). Please don't get me wrong, I appreciated the kind responses to my inquiry and was happy Sam was able to accommodate me on short (3-day notice) and make me look great. Curiously, when I went to book online Sam was not an available option with whom I could book an appointment. I hope the person responsible for the portal will ensure they can schedule time with him. Please go to see Sam. Thanks for making this Chicago girl look and feel great.

I also recently bought a couple bath bombs and they are da bomb! (wa waaa ;D But really, the bath bombs are great - they give off a pleasantly strong and soothing scent when dropped into the bath, which fills the air to bring on the zen, and leaves the skin soft and rehydrated. I recently discovered they also sell eye compression packs that can be heated or cooled, which I love - they're filled with a heavier substance that has enough weight that when used to cover the eyes during a migraine, there's a gentle compression on the eyes. Now I only wish they also sold bubble bombs. I'm hooked on the ones that Lush makes but I'd love to find a locally-made option that's also using simple ingredients.
