The location is just off of highways 965 which makes it easy to find. My hairstylist Liz was very welcoming and friendly. She listened to my thoughts and added to them. Most of the time, they simply want to cut your hair with the least amount of effort and get you out of the chair, as quickly as possible. She took the time to not only look at my current haircut and ask me what I was wanting to get done but explain to me how the shape of my head and haircut would complement each other. First off, the instant you walk in the door, they are extremely accommodating and offer you a drink (water, coffee, beer, wine, etc.) and a comfortable place to sit while you wait for your appointment. As for my appointments, I do not necessarily just always go to the same stylist, as I have had equally good experiences with all of them to-date. It is also easier to schedule on the fly that way :) The stylists are very attentive listeners and do not make you feel bad if you continue to have suggestions until they get your haircut and style just right. They are also good about offering styling suggestions, but do not necessarily try and push their products on you. The other thing that is cool about their stylists, is the parlor not only encourages continued education, more over the parlor brings in other stylist from around the nation and maybe even world to teach them and provide new tips and tricks. I think that is just awesome, and worth supporting. Meanwhile, the environment is comfortable and cool the whole time. I honestly do not have any things to say where I think they need improvement at this time. Their staff had terrible customer service and their management isn't any better. They will not try to correct a mistake they will sweep it under the rug. Absolutely terrible customer service. This stylist was probably one of the worst stylist I have ever had been to…read more She was very unprofessional, rude, not timely or organized, rough on my scalp, AND SHE ROBBED ME. Let me tell you why: I made an appt for a Silk Press and Trim. I walked into this establishment 10 minutes earlier then appt time with my hair not washed before, (was not listed as a requirement on the website). As soon as I walked in the Stylist immediately insulted and ridiculed my hair saying. No "hello" or a greeting. The Stylist then continued to look at my hair and asked me to sit in the chair for a wash. As they were washing my hair they continue to insult my hair and and pull on it. As they were drying my hair with a blow dryer and comb I could feel the stylist pulling on my hair so hard that my hair was breaking off, it was very uncomfortable. I didn't realize why the stylist was being so rough until I realized they had another client sitting out waiting to be seen at the same time as me, in other words they were rushing ON MY HAIR. Once the stylist put my hair underneath the dryer to finish drying she let her next client come in to get started on her hair too. Once she went back to my hair, she continued to rip on my hair and scalp with a narrow tooth comb and blamed it on my split ends. I could see my hair breaking onto the floor and hearing it with every comb through. All while she is doing this she is talking to me about oddly specific controversial subjects about what is going on in the world and the younger generations, Who I learned very shortly that she does not approve of. This woman has a very entitled personality, has little to no empathy for others, and is just flat rude. She was very snobby with me and made me feel like such a burden with my hair. At the end of the service I found out that I would be paying over $50 more than I thought I would be paying because my hair was "difficult" and "A lot". This woman did not even try to tell me in the beginning that the service would be more. If I could give this zero stars, I would. My time there was fast, but it was also wasted. It was always hard to find a POC in my town to not only know what they are doing but also be educated. She taught me a few lessons too.. I received a red/violet dye that is literally to die for! I had a vision of red I wanted and she made the dream come true. Easy scheduling and communication between client/stylist was simple and professional. I felt like my needs were being met while being comfortable in the chair. Hands down the best experience to come while being in a midst of a pandemic; super clean, disinfecting in between tasks and wearing masks. Definitely will be hearing from me again. xoxo
